Soulmate? What is she talking about? Wait, so... our marks on our faces indicate that we have a connection? Oh my, that's a lot of luck I have right now. I can't believe I'm connected with a beautiful and cute girl like her. This can't be a dream... right?
Damien clenched his fist and took a deep breath in front of the bright-haired girl. He's both exhilarated and overwhelmed about the recent discovery. His grey eyes peered straight through the girl's beautiful mix of dark cyan and light green. The glimmer from the sunrays; exhilarated and adored him even more.
"So, is that bruise not too much of a threat to you? It doesn't seem you're on the floor bleeding heavily."
The girl quickly staggered on the floor and the stocking that was on her bruise slid down. It glistened within the rays of the sunlight. Damien quickly grabbed the bandage that almost touched the dirty floor and slapped it within the swollen bruise on the bottom of her knee.
"Gotcha! There. That should stop the pain and bleeding... I hope. My mother always tells me to keep a first-aid bandage just in case if I get a cut or bruise."
She slowly lifted her head to him and showed a cute-like pout face at him. Even her pouting shocked Damien's heart, and he most definitely knew she felt embarrassed being helped by a flimsy boy like him.
Something about her is just all too beautiful.
The girl's two peachy cheeks puffed, and the pitch of her voice quickly risen; as if it sounded similar to a young eleven-year-old girl. The complete presentation of her 'personality' diminished, and Damien has revealed her truest personality.
"I don't believe we have met? Your attire is... very... strange. Are you from Linux? O-or maybe Wraileza considering how dark your clothing is? No, you don't look so bulky and intimidating-"
"HEY! I want you to know that I was ranked number tenth on a fight once!"
Damien yelled, knowing that all the words of the white-haired girl were true.
"You surely don't look like someone from Zomrack or this city in the kingdom of Pladtioa. You don't look like anyone from this world. Where ARE you from?"
Are all those the names of locations from this world? Also, why did she just shame me like that?! I know I can be tough... if I ever went outside back in my world. I guess, I really am not ready to go on an adventure in another world.
Damien slowly retrieved his balance and stood back on his feet. He offered his hand to the stranger girl below him, and... despite all the recent actions of her's; she willingly gripped Damien's soft pale hand and pulls her up.

Shortly after the 'incident'; they decided to walk out of the ally way to avoid any 'dangers' lurking within that place. The sun shone through from the arch of the alleyway, but as soon as they were about to exit out; Damien questioned the girl why she was running. Normally in these types of situations, he would say; "So what's your name?", but due to lack of memory; he completely forgot.
"What were you running for?"
"Actually, I was looking for my lost light button. There are supposed to be... four... buttons."
She held her right palm and showed four fingers to him, and then resumed as Damien and the girl walked away from the ally way.
"But one of them went missing. I... erm, dropped it on accident and... someone stole it and thought it was humorous to do so. I really need it, because it's very important to me. It's the premise of my light powers and abilities."
Ah, I see. This is my first objective!
He quickly replied to her, while the white hair fluctuates from the incoming air blowing through the arch in front of him.
"So... how did you manage to get one of those three white buttons off your shirt? There has to be a real reason, and not simply; "it fell off."
Damien mocked her for a moment.
"Oh, I simply fell off and lost a very important thing that I was told to never lose."
The girl squinted her dark grey eyes with a dark cyan pupil in the middle with a suspicious stare.
"Speak like that, and you're appearance might be wasted!"
Damien shouted in an aggravated tone. Shutting his eyes as well.
"WASTED?!"
As they slowly walked through the alleyway; before reaching the entrance. The girl remained silent, as the heavy sound of chatter and walking flashed inside his eardrums.
The sky is filled with bright vibrant colors. People ranging from blonde, brown, blue, green, and red hair all walked past him. The size of them varied as well. Ranging from short to tall, big and small; the typical people you would see from a fantasy world. Carriages swiftly swayed down the steep refined stone ramp towards what looked like small shops.
A mountain range resided from the distance; with most covered from tall walls. Small glimmering streams all flown through the edges of walls and ramps; all leading to a large central river. To describe this view is like if all Paris, Italy, Rome, Greece, and Spain all merged into this one perfected masterpiece of a fantasy kingdom.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
Soon, the bright white color of his hair has diminished to a dark black; and the central core of his left eye; dims to the usual light brown color he had in his otherworld. The remaining right eye still remained to be grey; however. The girl quickly backed up from Damien in surprise.
"Eh? The hues of your appearance have changed?!"
That's right. Near his right eye, black semi-curly bangs slightly covered his right eye. The two sides of his hair were not as short... but most of his bright hair; vanished before his very eyes. Yet, the skin tone of his remained the same; along with Damien's height. Without any mistakes and acne.
Damien looked like a typical Asian boy; minus the eyes. Without the eyes, he really doesn't seem to be recognized as an Asian but rather some other race in the west. There were no signs of facial hair at all, and he just simply looked... cute, but nothing in the bounds of handsome and manly. No. He's far from that.
"I... feel... different."
He slowly turned his head to the girl, but she immediately turned her head away from him with an intimate brighter blush than before.
"Your face... seems to be a lot brighter than before."
"I-It's n-nothing... I was... it was..."
Her grey eyes palpitate. And her black eyelashes sparkled from the sun. Clearly, she looked nervous to Damien Breckman.
"I-It's too hot and I needed to turn my head to the shade. N-now, u-um let's get settled for repaying your debt okey-dokey?"
Damien turned tilted his head to his right shoulder and spoke in an undertone.
"Okey-dokey? Never heard anyone say that in ages. Yeah... I'm ready."
With a dark cold gaze, the bright-haired girl hastily snatched Damien's wrist and pulled him towards the left side of the steep ramp.

Damien and the mysterious girl posthaste trekked through ceaseless buildings and blocks searching for the person who stole her important white button. Outdoor markets stretched from sidewalk to sidewalk; while indoor markets were located at the other side of the city; further away from the 'great fountain'.
The Great Fountain is the lake near the center of the city. Glimmering and gorgeous; filled with wish squirming around from stream to stream to reach their desired bodies of water. Matching the bright scattered hues resting high in the sky.
Damien; who is out of breath... asked the girl in an exaggerated tiresome tone.
"W-We searched everywhheeeerrree. This city... everything. The corners and lots. We've checked-"
"Shush. I'm sure I sense the button being over here. I'm sure of it."
A calm and flourished breeze blew through her brilliant white hair. It slowly swayed to the right; following the currents. Many citizens walked past her, not sharing any sort of similarity to the bright shade of the girl's hair.
The sun's luminescent rays shone brightly on both of their faces. The girl's hand relaxed on the stone railing near the Great Fountain. Sweat violently drifted down his face. Touching both his rosy cheeks, and Soulmark.
He quickly backs away from the railing and turned his head to the hot shining rays of the sun. Heat surrounded both deep in his armpits, and his dark hair. Which instead of reflecting the sunlight, like the shade of the girl's hair; it instead absorbed the sunlight, and thus affecting his body heat.
It felt to him that it is the hot season of Summer in this world. After a short calm silence. After a horse-driven carriage passed by the two; the girl slowly turned her head to him.
"So. I haven't had the chance to show you my gratitude for patching my bruise. So... I would like to say... thank you. And in compensation for your savior-like act; I will now reveal my name."
Name?! I completely forgot to ask what her name is. I forgot to even introduce my name to her. The first mistake I did in a different world, was forgetting to ask what her name is. Well, let's not make this a big issue.
Damien steadily placed his palm on his forehead and wiped off a sweat that formed from his skin pores.
"S-Sure."
A long silence formed after he gave confirmation to the girl. As the wind blew through the long strands of her brilliant white hair; she slowly looked towards the sun, and slid her right hand down through the soft strand. Damien hastily placed his two palms and immediately turned his head to her face and waited.
"-Drimi..."
Damien's dark brown iris hastily widened, and he shook his head shortly after.
"Drimi... That's a beautiful name. It sounds like what a princess-"
She hastily turned her head away from Damien and shuts her eyes in front of the beaming sun. A faint blush shone on her two bright peachy cheeks on her fair light skin.
"E-em... are you feeling hot? Let's get some ice cream. The store is right there, so it would take..."
"Icecream?! There's ice cream in this world?!"
As Damien's dark sweatshirt swiftly swayed to the right; he quickly stood up and pressed his hand on the right side of his chest. He stood in a confident and prideful position and took deep breaths.
"Well let's get this over with, and tell you my name. I'm hungry for some ice cream by the way."
Drimi lightly giggles with her two palms hovering over her mouth. Her two eyes shut, and the glimmering black eyelashes of her's sparkled in the sunlight.
"My name is Damien Breckman! I was a loser young adult who came from another world! Now, I am going to be the one who will be the hero of this world."
Drimi slowly shook her head and murmured. Her grey iris peered straight through Damien's pale skin, and another carriage quickly passed by them moments after.
"-another world?"
"Eh? What are you saying, I can't hear."
The girl hastily leaned her back upwards and walked past him. Approaching down the stone ramp.
"Let's settle this. See that restaurant over there?"
Drimi's right index finger pointed to the distant sight of the ice cream parlor. It showed a brown and red mix of hues on the railing and symbols attached to the solid walls. He briskly nodded his head.
"-Let's race down there, and whoever reaches there before the other person; will receive a larger portion of food. And whoever fails; will only get a small portion. The victorious also get to decide the flavor of ice cream as they please."
Damien hastily stood back up and sprinted to where Drimi stood.
"Hey! You literally just dodged my question. But sure. I can accept this challenge."
Little does she know I was in second place in track and field. This will be easy for me.
Drimi slowly touched her feet against the sidewalk and stood in a ready stance, and then Damien also followed her movements afterward. As the last few children sprinted by them; Drimia counted down.
"Three, two, one, GO!"
