a woman's voice waked me up.

As I opened my little eyes, I found myself being surrounded by a hand. the hands of my mother. What's this feeling! the feeling of safety and comfort.

Is this why a baby likes their mother better?.

And when my eyes rise up, I see my mother face.

"Oh my, did Sara wake you up? it's okay you can rest a little bit longer" she smiled

"My, he sleeps so quickly. Is mother hands is that comfortable" She smiled

"Prince Julius is really cute when he's sleeping, madam Countess. I can't resist pinching his face" Sara the maid approached the baby in her hand and pinched Julius's face.

In the morning when the soldiers start training, a conversation is happening in the palace.

"How's the situation on the north Rob?"

Two men are present in this room. Not a really an exquisite looking room the furniture is Just a small throne from black metal and some curtains.

This room is a secret room located in the palace, reserved for the king to perform secretive meetings.

One man sitting on the throne, the other kneeling on the floor. The man that sitting on the throne is Agnos, King of Navarra, and the man that kneeling is the Spymaster of Navarra, The king's shadow Rob Northington.

"Hoh so the north has become quite chaotic huh. Then how's the empire doing? Did the Night Owl Agency found something?" Agnos amused.

"Report Your Majesty, we received a report that internal issues are happening in the Empire. But the Generals of the Seven Sin is still active conquering the surrounding County and stabilize the territory"

"Internal Issues?. Weird, that man won't allow something like this happened. This is extremely suspicious" Agnos raised his brows.

"Please forgive me, Your Majesty, we don't know the exact details. You can punish me instead and leave the agency."

Rob closed his eyes and his kneeling stance is started to descend.

"Get up Rob, you already know me for so long and you know I'm not like that. Just keep sending the agency member to investigate but remind them to keep the secrecy utmost. Keeping their lives also important. After all, they are the future of this Kingdom. It's such a waste to end their potential there. And start to prepare the spy network and sabotage plan. Since we're gonna start a war against the Juxtapose Kingdom in the west next year."

"Yes, Your Majesty." Rob get up and with a calm face.

No sympathetic feelings, no hesitation, all for the Kingdom and it's citizens.

When Rob wanted to leave the room, Agnos spoke

"Rob, what do you think of my decision yesterday?"

Rob wanted to act like a dumb and say

But he can't.

After all, chaotic events happening yesterday. Signs of Revolt, Vassal that creating Factions, Council Room that devastated. It's a crazy sight in the Palace. But to the commoners outside it's nothing special.

"I serve the Kingdom. For my heart and soul can be sacrificed" Rob answered with his back on Agnos.No one knows what expression he makes.

Facing your back against the king is a taboo behavior and can be punished.

"Then, are you going to support my choice or you have another choice?" But Agnos didn't mind it.

Shadows of the Kingdom is a powerful backer. You can basically assassinate every people in the Kingdom including the other prince or princess.

"..." a few seconds is passed but Rob didn't say anything

Then Agnos see Rob's moving his body to his direction him and assaulted him.

"Agnos! You know what's gonna happened right!" Rob screamed and grab his shirt.

This is an act of treason. If the army saw this scene, they would stab their sword in Rob's chest without any hesitation.

"..." but Agnos didn't answer. He just looked at Rob's face.

"You're gonna repeat what happened in the past! you're the victim of it. Don't act like you don't know. External war is a good thing even if we lose or destroyed. But Internal? that's a taboo and a disgrace!"

"Then what should I do Rob! do you really think the life of a King is wonderful. Seeing corrupt nobles, officials and politics generals makes me vomit! .I want to purge them! I want to kill them all! .But I can't right?.

Marrying a duke daughter, Marrying a General daughter, etc,etc.I'm SICK OF IT!" he screamed from the top of his lungs.

"Agnos! you dumb!" Rob then threw a punch to Agnos's face but blocked.

Both men show the sign of Wrath, one of the Seven Sins that the Great God created.

"Tell me, Rob!! Did making the son of my true love a crown prince is wrong? did making the nephew of our brother, Julian a crown prince is wrong? You know how much we owe him!. Why I cannot be selfish! why? because I'm a king? CUIH!" He spatted on Rob's face.

But instead of showing more signs of wrath, Rob released his grip and pushed Agnos. His face contained sorrows.

The face of his brother, Julian reminds him of that tragedy.

Silence descended to the room, while both of them still standing.

Then Rob walked to the door, and when he moved his hand to open the handle he spoke

"I will protect him, but I won't support him. What he would be in the future depends on himself. This would be considered repayment for Julian" he then exited the room.

Agnos then see the back of his brother. The back of the youngest brother. Even if they didn't blood-related, his bond with him is stronger than his bastard dynasty.

The 3 Prodigies of Navarra. Julian that excels in stewardship and management, Agnos a brilliant strategist and an inspiring leader, and Rob the master of Information Gathering and a Natural Born Killer.

In the past, the peoples always say that these three prodigies would be the pillar of the Kingdom that can rival the Empire or even surpassed it.

But alas. Now, that's only a dream.
