Sleepy time poem

Sleepy time poem

Under the curtain of rainfall

The curtain of night

When all is quiet

The sun bright

The other side of the world

In radiant glow

On our side though...

Darkness it knows

Is the moon high up in the sky

Higher than any planes will fly

Only to be reached by a few who sigh

Of days when so far they could fly

The curtain of our eyes close down

Our sleep comes closer and into slumber we drown

Traped by our own delusions

Eluded by our own conclusions

Is it a fear you have from younger days

Regrets which still stay

A sense of loneliness you can't keep at bay

You better stay awake...

But you can't!

You'll fall asleep eventually

But you prance!

In your own simple way

You'll lose!

Yourself!

You'll fall into trance with no one else!

Alone!

So alone!

The dome of sleep

Calls you home!

Fall asleep,

Roll the dice

Fear your inner darkness

Festering like lice!

Just...

Roll...

The...

Dice

Die
