Moments later a large man stepped out from behind the curtain. Pulling out a book and pen from under the desk.
“My name Clyde, I'm the owner of the Crescent moon inn. How can I help you?”
“Im looking for a place to stay for the night. Do you guys have any rooms available?”
“We have plenty we don't see my new people in town so we're never full.”
“Now that i think about it this place is pretty far into the wasteland isn't it.”
“Yes the next closest town is in the elven kingdom it's called [Caskelume] it's a very popular spot for adventures.”
“I heard that i'm heading over there soon. but how much will a room cost me?”
“Ah that will be one silver coin please put your name in the book before you go to your room though”
Spinning the book around I write my name inside. There doesn't seem to be many names inside the book only enough to fill one or two pages.
“Here's your room key and if you have any problems ask me or my lovely daughter.”
The little girl's face peaked around the corner of the curtain. Putting the coin on the table and picking up the key. Walking upstairs he said the room will be the first one on the left right? Putting the key inside the lock and turning it the door swung open. Peeking inside there was a small bed and a desk next to it with a corresponding window across the room.
I guess I should take a look at that spell book I got from the quest. It definitely wasn't as big as the one Lucy showed me before. Pulling out of my inventory and putting it on the table I started to read the first page. It seemed to be a pretty simple spell. The only hard part about learning spells is I have to remember the name of each spell and what they do. Well the runes for [Impact] seem simple enough.
*Ring… Ring…. Ring*
“Hello?”
*ring*
Where the hell is that coming from? It seems like it stopped for now. Well I should go check on Clara putting the book back in my inventory.
[Logging out...]
…
..
.
Looking at my phone looks like I missed a call from Adam that must have been what the ringing was. damn better call him back…
“Hey whats up you called?”
Adams squeaky voice came over the phone
“I was calling you to find out if you joined Bottomless earth yet.”
“Yea i have i set up a character and have been playing for a little over a day now.”
“Why haven't you messaged me then? I told you as soon as you got in, I will introduce you to some people.”
“You know i'm not good with people...”
“Yea but this is a game you can interact with people easier what's your user name all friend you when i get in game.”
“Ah, it's Shin just like normal.”
“You always pick the same name doesn't it get boring?”
“What's wrong with using my own name. And sides you pick your own name every time as well.”
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
“Well it doesn't matter all be on in an hour or so. Anyways What kingdom did you pick?”
“I had one randomly picked and I ended up in the wasteland…”
“Man you really got the tail end of it, they just shut off being able to spawn in the waste land. And wait, I don't remember a way to randomly select a kingdom?”
“Ah really well i guess it was just me. Well just message me when you're on. I'm trying to make my way over the closest town which is the Caskelume in the elven kingdom.”
“What a Coincidence i spawned in that town not too long ago I should be able to meet you there.”
“Awesome all see you then.”
Man i was so absorbed in the game i completely forgot to message Adam well i should go check on clara before i log in again. Walking over to her room and knocking on the door.
“Come in.”
Opening the door, claras laying in her bed, her hairs a mess and their blankets thrown everywhere.
“Jeez clara you really need to clean up. But i just wanted to check on you.”
“This is clean!” she said with huff
“Fine fine make sure to eat something before noon please i made you some food in the fridge. ”
Closing the door behind me and going back to my room. Logging back into the game just where i left it. Damn I just bought this room and I already have to leave. I was hoping I would learn more magic...
Welp no use whining about it.
Leaving the room and walking down stairs Clyde was behind his desk filling out what looked like paper work.
“All be leaving.”
“Really you just got here?”
“Well i told a friend of mine i would meet up with him in [Caskelume] so i better be heading off now. Thanks for the room though.”
“Ah your welcome come back anytime!”
“Thanks”
Walking out the inn it looks like only an hour or so has passed. I guess I should go say bye to Lucy walking over to the guild and opening the door. Looking around she doesn't seem to be at the desk
“Hey lucy! You here. I came to say goodbye.”
Lucy soon rounds the corner, her tail drooping between her legs. She looks kinda upset.
“Are you going somewhere?”
“I told a friend i would meet up with him in the next town over all be back at some point.”
“Ah well all be waiting for you to come back”
A small smile lit on her face.
“Thank you for your help. Without you i wouldn't understand many things.”
Turning to walk out the door I felt arms wrap around my waist. Turning around, Lucy walked behind the counter and hugged me from behind.
“Come back safe”
“Will do”
Man the AI seems so real. Even though we only met recently she helped me through alot. I really should come back soon.
…
..
.
After leaving the village I started toward the town maybe about a half an hour into my walk a large stone fell from the tree hitting the floor with a large thump and making a small crator in the dirt. It just barely missed my head.
Looking up there was another large stone falling up this time right on me.
Rolling to the right side I barely dodged it. The rocks were about the size of a human head and they kept falling slowly getting faster tell they finally started coming down in rapid succession.
Damn this must be a monster looks like my luck ran out. can't fight it if I can't see it. affter rolling from the last one it they seemed to have slowed down on how fast there falling. This might be my only chance!
I ran trying not to trip over the roots of trees. soon rocks came fly from behind me in the trees there casing after me. luckly there falling just short of reaching me.
Finally theres a little bit more light up ahead. Running a bit more I finally came out to a clearing looking back at the trees 3 monkey like monsters were sitting in the branches but they seemed to much larger then normal monkeys. In each of there large hands they were carring stones. After seeing I left the forest they quickly turned around and went back into the woods.
Haha...I cant stand anymore.
Colasping in the feild I lay on my back starring up at the sky. my breathing slowly returned to normal i thought i was gonna die there for a second haha.
*Ding*
Huh a message it must be from Adam.
~Player Adam has sent you a friend request would you like to accept~
[Yes.] [No.]
After yes my screen soon became a new window i haven't seen before which must be the party window.
*Ping*
(S=Shin, A=Adam)
~Adam~
A- Hey how close are you to the village?
S- Not too far, maybe anothhalf an hour or so.
A- Alright well hurry up.
S- Hold your horses all be there when i get there.
Jeez Adams is always in a hurry. I better start moving again. Hopefully I don't run into anything else.
Sense I ran for a bit. I bet I'm closer than I think I am. It seems that most monsters are avoiding me for some reason not that I'm complaining but I still need to level up my skills and without monsters it's going to take awhile.
After a while I came out of the forest a large hill was in front of me blocking my view. After looking at the map the town should be somewhere around here somewhere…
~New territory discovered [Elven kingdom]~
Must mean i'm going the right way.
Coming over the hill I could see far away it was a large open plain on all sides it seems to be coverd my dense forest. In the center say a town with large stone walls.
It looks more like a city compared to the town I started in, I better go find Adam before he wanders off from boredom.
I picked up a few plants while walking. I can't quite identify them with my level of [Inspection]. I guess I need to level it up a bit more.
All worry about that later though.
