The next morning was normal. I woke up early in the morning before everyone in the house.
After getting dressed I headed down stairs to cook breakfast. I never really come down stairs besides to eat. Sides the only one who talks to me is Clara. After cooking breakfast I eat my porchon and wrap up the rest for my sister. No one will be up for a couple of hours. I might as well check the BE forms.
Huh there seems to be a new patch update.
I wonder what bugs they fixed. Maybe someone learned how to duplicate that and would really mess things up.
-New Update-
We regret to inform you that there is no longer the choice of spawning in the wasteland as there were only three people that have spawned in the wasteland within a time frame of two mouths.
Said people will not have their accounts deleted and will be given the title of [Survivor of ruin] which gives a +2 effect to all status this includes strength as well as stamina and mana.
They will keep their kingdom's effect as well.
A new stat will be added [Intelligence] this is used to buy books from merchants to read them to gain new skills or spells. If your intelligence is too low they will not sell you the books.
Also added will be now skills can evolve after hitting a higher level for example [Hand to hand combat] can evolve into [Martial arts] after hitting level 50 and for this update we removed the A-E rank on your windows and changed them to the number leveling system.
That is all for the update.
Thank you for supporting the Bottomless earth project
* Administration of the BE team
Man, I never thought that I would be one of the only ones to spawn in the wasteland. Well they did say three I'm happy I atleast know I'm not the only one and the status effect from Survivor of ruin is a big plus.
I think I'm going to keep quiet about my spawn though I don't want to gain too much attention.
Wait, I wonder if I can get Tusk to tell me the other wasteland peoples names. Wait, the announcement said they won't say damn. I might as well log in and get started grabbing my headset I loaded up BE. I soon found myself back in my camp.
...
..
.
Looking around the camp I grabbed my remaining supplies and put them in my inventory. Oh right I guess i should check my status to see how it changed.

This is looking better than the last time I checked.
I must have leveled up my [Engineering] by building the base and leveled up [Alchemy] by making my axe but I gotta figure out a way to level up the rest of them. I haven't come across any monsters yet. I really should have asked Tusk about it when I saw him.
After cleaning up my inventory I started reading the book I got from Lucy at the guild.
At first I didn't quite get it but after a few hours I started to get the hang of it. To simplify “words” we say are just simplified versions of the runes which are the base of everything in the world if you can figure out the right sentence or word you can bring out the true power of the rune and create new spells and bend the rules of the world. After trying many times I finally got the pronouncing of the rune for the simple spell [Light] this might be a lot harder than I thought you have to get the pronunciation right.
As well the correct image in your head this is going to be a little bit more complicated than I thought.
I packed up the rest of my campsite and went to town one last time to say goodbye to Lucy and see if i can take a look at that magic book again.
When I got there it was close to getting dark. I got lucky and the guild was just about to close.
Lucy was in her normal spot behind the counter and the place was still empty as ever. The chair had been stacked on the table and looked like no one had been inside for a few days. Now that I remember warnt bandits coming into the town?
“ Hey Lucy, how are you doing?”
“Oh it's good to see you Shin. The village still has a problem with the bandits so I've been working a lot lately. I'm soooo tired.”
She yawned stretching her arms out
“But you're not here to listen to that. What can i do for you?”
“Ah no let me hear about it”
“Well after you left the bandits came and attacked one of the main farms of the village were down about 30% in food and winters coming soon. I don't know what everyones going to do.”
“Have you figured out where the bandits are located and how many there are?”
“They should be west of the village in a cave that they turned into a base. There seems to be around ten we sent scouts out again and they still haven't come back so we don't know if their numbers have grown.”
“Are there any quests to help out?”
“Ah yes yes there is if you're willing!” her tail started to wiggling.
“What's the quest?”
Reaching under the table and pulling out a piece of paper and handing it to me.
The blue window flashed in front of me.
~Rescue the missing scouts~
Go to the cave west of the village and rescue the 2 village scouts.
Time Limit: 2 days
Reward: Copy of Guilds magic book & 2 gold coins.
Huh this is just what i need it might be a good idea to accept this mission.
“All take the quest, that's alright.”
“Great all put this in your file thank you for helping us out on this and make sure to come back safe.”
She walked around the corner but I can hear her tail wagging. She must be very happy about it.
“Can i sell these herbs and buy some iron ingots please?” I shouted around the corner so she can hear me
“Right away.”
After selling the herbs to Lucy and buying iron ingots I got 4 silver and 6 copper coins. I guess I should start preparing by looking at my inventory. I'm definitely not ready to fight.
I don't even have a sword, only my [Poorly made axe] but that's why i bought the iron ingots. Taking the ingots out of my inventory I used [Alchemy] on two of them to create a thin curved blade. It was missing the handle but I soon found a suitable branch and molded a suitable handle using [Alchemy]
I'm seriously lucky It came out as the best thing I've made so far.
~Blade of Grass~
Attack - (7) Speed - (5)
Effect: Diamond edge
Description: A long curved shaped blade thin as grass but incredibly sharp.
Made by: Shin
This is an amazing item for my second time using [alchemy]. I'm so lucky those bandits better watch themselves. After accepting the quest and leaving the village heading west i soon came to a cave with guards standing in front lucky they haven't seen me yet hiding behind a rock next to the cave.
I have to think of a plan.
