Archival 2: Archives and Hokkaido Hijinks

Buster frantically rummaged through a box of scientific equipment. “Oh wait.” He facepalmed remembering that he had put a tracking chip on Bmon, due to Himari asking him to do so just a few days prior.

----------------------------------------

“...Well good thing I put a tracking chip on Bmon when Himari asked me, I guess being overprotective can have benefits…” He looked at his phone to locate the tracking chip. The location displayed as “Jimmens City, USA”.

----------------------------------------

“H-How the hell did he get all the way to the USA?!” Buster double checked his phone and sure enough, Bmon was now in “The City of Jimmens” within the United States of America.

----------------------------------------

A few minutes before Buster had checked the tracking chip. Within the darkness of the pocket dimension. The strange creature took Bmon inside of an odd mansion. Bmon woke up after having fainted, he slowly looked around. Due to not seeing the strange creature that grabbed him, he began to walk around.

----------------------------------------

“W-Where are you?! I know you're there!” As he shouted, he saw what looked like an axolotl on the ground.

“...Um aren't axolotl’s supposed to be in water-” Suddenly, the axolotl-like creature increased in size. Revealing that it was the creature that grabbed Bmon.

“...I'm not an axolotl, you can call me Guardian. But that's not the point, you have trespassed into the Realm of Archives, do you have anything to say before I pass upon your punishment?”

----------------------------------------

“T-Trespassed? All I did was help Buster with an experiment! You should blame him if that's your reasoning…!” Bmon shouted. The Guardian glared at him suspiciously.

“...If that's all you have to say. Then prepare to be punished-” The Guardian stopped talking and looked around in confusion.

“W-What?” Bmon turned his head in confusion, after a few minutes Guardian sighed.

----------------------------------------

“Okay listen, Human. My punishment for you has changed slightly. I'm going to remove your memories and in return, bestow upon you the archive ability.”

Before Bmon could react, Guardian knocked him out instantaneously. The Archive lit up as he transferred the archive ability to him.

----------------------------------------

“Time to send you to a random place on Earth like that person suggested. Guess I'll send you to that odd city with the mayor who is a literal piece of bread.” Within a second, Bmon disappeared from the Archive. He reappeared in a furniture store in Jimmens, the customers looked startled as he popped out of a couch.

----------------------------------------

At the same time, Buster used his teleportation device to make his way to Jimmens and quickly entered the furniture store. “Nothing to see here! This was just part of a failed experiment!” Buster immediately grabbed Bmon and ran out of the store to avoid attracting attention.

----------------------------------------

“Bmon, wake up!” Buster shouted, Bmon however did not get up even after he shouted. He got annoyed after shouting several times and slapped him. He slowly opened his eyes afterwards.

“Who… Are you…? Bmon looked around, confused. However Buster looked even more confused than he did.

----------------------------------------

“Y-You don't remember me? Do you remember Himari at least? Or Dan…?”

“N-No… I don't remember… All I remember is that my name is Bmon.” Buster looked shocked, not knowing what to do. He decided to call Himari to figure out what to do next.

----------------------------------------

“Yes… He seems to have lost his memory and I am unsure of how to procee- What?! A-All right then… I suppose I can do that but you better pay me back later…” Buster hung up the phone and glanced at Bmon.

“So… Apparently we will be living in this city starting today.”

----------------------------------------

Buster started to think for a minute before continuing. “Stay here for a minute, Bmon.” Buster walked toward a nearby construction worker.

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

“Hey! Uh… Do you possibly have a building for sale?”

“Buildings…? Sir, in order to buy a building you would need-” Before the construction worker could finish his sentence, Buster shoved a 10,000 dollar check into his hand.

----------------------------------------

“...R-Right! Take that building over there, no-one is living in it currently. We were planning on renovating it later this week.” The construction worker ran away afterwards with the check in his hand.

Buster walked toward the building, he pulled out an odd looking gun and fired a shot. Within an instant the building transformed from a normal looking house into something reminiscent of a futuristic age.

----------------------------------------

Buster sighed. “There goes my monthly pay… Well I guess it's worth it if I was allowed to modify the house.”

Buster walked back to Bmon. “Okay Bmon, you see that inconspicuous house over there? That is our new home.” Bmon looked over at the building.

“Inconspicuous huh…? That's the most conspicuous house I've ever seen.” He facepalmed.

----------------------------------------

Fukumoto Mansion. Tokyo, 2024. Present Day.

----------------------------------------

“So, that is more or less what happened. Any questions Bmon?” Buster questioned.

“...How the hell did you know what happened in the Archive if you weren't ther-” Buster stopped him. “Science, Bmon. Don't question science.”

----------------------------------------

Bmon sighed. “Okay… I more or less understand what happened.” He began eating before realizing something. “Oh yeah, what were all of you doing while Buster was doing that? Wouldn't you have noticed if I was gone?”

“I was at school… And Hana was asleep.” Tsubame replied. “I was at work when Buster called…” Himari said. “I was… Watching television with the volume really loud.” Dan claimed.

----------------------------------------

“Well, it's not like I wouldn't have done the same.” Bmon laughed. Suddenly, tears began falling from his eyes. “H-Huh? Is this how I break character…? Or have I remembered something sad?” Before anyone else could react, Himari hugged him.

----------------------------------------

“It's okay… You've been through a lot I imagine. So go ahead and let go of your emotions for a moment…” Without even a second after Himari spoke, Bmon burst into tears.

A few minutes passed before Bmon broke away from the hug and rubbed his eyes. “I-I'm fine now… I guess I didn't expect this to happen today.”

They resumed eating. After they finished, Himari remembered something. “Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you Bmon, a friend from your childhood is waiting for you in Hokkaido, I let him know you came back while we were in the car…”

----------------------------------------

“A… Childhood friend huh? Well I guess it can't hurt to go to Hokkaido, so while I'd love to stay longer I have to go find this guy.” Bmon waves goodbye and jumps through the dining room door.

“Didn't you want him to stay longer, Himari?” Buster questioned with curiosity.

“Well… He knows where we are now, so we can see each other whenever we want right?” Dan shook his head in agreement with Himari's words.

----------------------------------------

Meanwhile… Hokkaido, Japan.

----------------------------------------

Bmon appeared out of a coffee shop door, immediately shivering because of the cold temperatures. “Damn it… I should've gotten my coat before I came here…” He quickly went back to his house in Jimmens, and changed into a winter outfit. Now back in Hokkaido, He started to look for his friend.

----------------------------------------

Half a day passed by in a flash. After he searched the entirety of Hokkaido. Bmon was back at the front of the coffee shop. “...How did I end up back here?! Where the hell is he!?” Bmon sighed while going into the coffee shop to take a break.

----------------------------------------

“Yo! Over here!” Immediately upon entering, Bmon heard a voice calling out toward him. He went over to them and sat down in silence. “...I looked all over for you. And now you're telling me you were at the f&@^ing coffee shop I was at when I first got here?!” Bmon shouted.

----------------------------------------

He started to burst into laughter. “Sorry… Just wanted to mess with you a bit so I hid inside of this coffee shop.”

He signaled a waiter to come over and ordered coffee for both of them. “So judging by what Himari sent me over text messaging, you don't have your memories. So let me reintroduce myself, my name is Suzuki Daisuke.”

----------------------------------------

“Nice to meet you Daisuke-san, I would say my name, but you already know my name.”

Daisuke looked at him before laughing. “H-Honorifics?! Pff… I think we are long past that Bmon.”

“Right… Forgot you knew me for a second” He shrugged. “Say Daisuke, would you like to visit Jimmens? I could show you around.”

----------------------------------------

“Isn't Jimmens in the USA though? How would we get there?” He questioned.

Bmon started to think in his head. “Guardian, can I bring Daisuke into the Archive?”

“...Sure, Bmon. I don't have a problem with it, but why are you communicating with me telepathically you know you can just say it outloud.”

“Well… I don't think Daisuke knows about the Archive so I wanted to surprise him” He accidentally grinned, Daisuke looked very confused while Bmon was grinning.

----------------------------------------

“All right, I got permission. Hold my hand Daisuke.”

“...Okay?” Daisuke held his hand, and Bmon immediately ran into the coffee shop's front door. The cashier looked confused as they suddenly vanished into the door.

----------------------------------------

Bmon and Daisuke fell out of the sky onto the grass. “God damn it… That's the second time it made me appear in the sky… It doesn't usually do that.” Bmon said with an annoyed tone.

“B-Bmon. Where the hell are we?!” Daisuke looked shocked. “OH. Right this is the Archive, this is the reason I lost my memories technically.” Bmon grinned at him.

----------------------------------------

“...You definitely didn't forget to mention this, you planned to surprise me from the start didn't you?” He glared intensely at Bmon.

“W-Well anyways. Let's go to Jimmens…” They entered Jimmens through the front door of Bmon's house.

----------------------------------------

Daisuke glanced around before speaking. “Definitely looks… Different from Hokkaido, that's for sure.” Daisuke had realized Bmon vanished suddenly before he went out of his house with a red shirt on.

“Um… Why did you just change clothes?”

“Because, I'm gonna show you the arcade. But I'm banned from there due to causing some incident regarding power grids or something.”

----------------------------------------

“You did wh- …Actually I don't want to know what you did, nevermind…” Daisuke sighed.

An hour passed by as they did activities such as playing arcade games and eating ice cream. They walk back to Bmon's house.

“Man, this place is really interesting, plus the ice cream in this city is phenomenal.”

“Right? It seems to be getting dark now though… Do you want me to take you home?” Bmon asked.

----------------------------------------

“...This is America Bmon. It's still daytime in Hokkaido. Let's play a board game or something and then I'll go home.”

“Right…” They went inside, going towards the kitchen.

----------------------------------------

Bmon and Daisuke noticed Buster was eating a LOT of cookies in the corner of the kitchen. “Um… Do you two want a cookie?” Buster looked at them awkwardly.

“...” Both of them went upstairs to Bmon's room “Wait, you got the wrong idea!!!” Buster shouted in the distance.

----------------------------------------

Bmon and Daisuke went back into the kitchen. “Buster… What the hell are you doing?” Bmon glared at him.

“Well, I wanted a cookie from the cookie jar. But then one cookie turned into two cookies, so on and so forth.”

----------------------------------------

Bmon stared at Buster with a questionable look. “...Is he always like this?” Daisuke asked skeptically.

“...Not… Always…”

“God damn it… Let's just go play Capitalized…” Daisuke pointed at the board game on the table.

“Oh Capitalized? I love that game! Can I play too?” Buster looked at Bmon.

----------------------------------------

“As long as you don't do something stupid again.”

“All right!!!”

Bmon sighed. They went into Bmon’s room to play Capitalized for the rest of the day.
