Five full years had passed since the invasion of the planet Osara and the attack on base 57. I have been a prisoner of a prison work colony on Sinaran homeworld of Sinara. The last five years of my life have been the worst. The prison colony on Sinara was one of the most brutal prisons in the galaxy. Once in the colony, you either died of starvation, exhaustion, disease or murdered by another fellow prisoner. But no one was ever released.
I awoke in my cell from another inmate banging on one of the metal grates in the cell opposite. My cell was dark, gloomy, damp and smelly. The smell of sewage and sweat filled the entire cell block. My bed was a big dirty blanket laid over a damp and cold bricked floor.
I pushed myself from the floor using one of the walls beside me. The cell was long and narrow, with barely any free space, just enough space to lay down and sleep.
I walked towards the rusty bars on my cell door.
I looked into the eyes of the prisoner in the adjacent cell.
“Ardos” I called to the prisoner opposite.
Ardos was tall and muscular. His skin complexion was dark and his head was bald.
“Crystal, darling” he flirted as he stepped towards the grate.
“You promised to get me out of this hole” Ardos uttered quickly.
I smirked and as I turned my head I quietly said “I’m working on it”. Ardos banged his fist on the rusty bars of his cell door.
“I can’t wait much longer” Ardos spat in an aggressive manner.
I re-looked into his cell and turned my attention to the cell corridor that was dark and gloomy. I wanted to see if other inmates were listening, but there was no sign or movement coming from the other cells.
In an instant the bright ceiling lights flashed on.
An automated mescaline voice blared out from the speakers in the corridor.
“All prisoners make your way to the yard.” The automated voice kept repeating itself as the cell doors opened.
I waited, upon me I looked and Ardos stood in front of me. He pushed me up against my cell wall and looked at me fiercely.
“Don’t keep me waiting much longer,” Ardos spoke as he looked straight into my eyes.
I looked back into his eyes and quietly reassured him. I was planning an escape. Five years in this colony and I was almost ready to make my escape. Ardos wanted in on the escape plan. Five years I have waited to find out what happened to Das and Rufus back in Osara. What happened to Osara? What happened to the Jurata 200? I had no idea, no outside information was given, only information given from new arrivals. Even information given from inmates could be lies, rumours or inaccurate.
I needed the truth, I needed answers.

Ardos was from the planet Relga Dor, he was a mercenary on hire, he was happy to do whatever the highest bidder paid him. That was until he was betrayed and sold to the Sinarans and he has been an inmate for over eight years. I know little else about him.
I walked behind Ardos briskly along the dark and damp corridors.
As I reached the yard I saw all the prisoners lining up in their pale blue outfits, the same as I was wearing. All prisoners wore pale blue outfits in the colony. Three hundred prisoners lined up neatly, in front were ten prison guards. The Sinaran prison guards were dressed in jet black armoured suits, with three orange stripes coming down both of the upper arms. The prison guards each were holding a big long stick. The long sticks were Slazers. A slazer was a long gun made out of sinaran metal. Each slazer stick had a trigger button on the handle and a blade attached for close combat.
I walked into the yard and joined the back line. The yard was surrounded by high electric fences.
I heard an instant ‘Zssh’ from in front. One of the guards had fired one of the slazer sticks at one of the prisoner’s feet. Another guard fired into the first line of prisoners. I could hear the ‘Zssh’ from the Slazers and the burning from the laser hitting the inmates flesh. But I could not see anything from the back.
I sensed huge danger and watched as the lines in front became nervous and scared for their lives.
A siren blew. Loud and high pitch in sound, enough to hurt your ears. I did not know what was going on.
Was I being released?
Was I being executed?
Time in the yard had never been like this before. On a normal day, they opened the cell doors and let the inmates into the yard to roam around at their own free will. Normally yard time was before food and a ten hour shift in the Sinaran mines within the prison.
The siren blew again and smoke filled the entire yard. I started coughing and started to fall to the ground. I couldn’t see anything.
Before it got worse, the smoke started to disappear and I could faintly see the lines of prisoners starting to move out of position.
Two dead bodies lay on the stone floor of the yard.
The guards had disappeared and inmates were rushing to get back to their cell.
“No yard time” commented Ardos as he rushed towards me.
“No food either” I said worryingly as I moved closer towards each other.
“We stick together” Ardos uttered as he a saw a guard walked towards me “Your my best chance of getting out of here”
“YOU” a guard shouted in our direction. The guard was wearing the same black outfit as the other guard and also was wearing a black face mask.
“Yes you, come with me” the guard shouted.
I looked at the guard and then looked at Ardos.
The guard came over and grabbed both of us. The guard didn’t utter a word but brutally dragged both of us through a gated wall from the courtyard.
I looked in front and saw a massive vehicle. It was a transport vessel known in Sinaran as AVB. The prison transport had four massive wheels and the body was circular. The shape was almost similar to the ships that attacked Osara but without any tails or wings.
I succumbed that the transport was clearly for the use of land transportation. On the side of the vessel was written spelling ‘AVB5051’.
Before I had any more time to take in my surroundings I was hurtled into the back of the transport by the guard.
The back of the transport was dark, I glanced round to see if Ardos was behind me. I was relieved when I saw him being thrown into the AVB. I was not alone in this horrific experience.
It was hard to believe that someone could actually throw or force Ardos to do anything because of his size and strength. But even Ardos was no match for a fully armoured AVB and the prison guard patrol.
My arms were attached securely to a thick rubbery rope which was attached to the side of the inside of the vehicle.
The vehicle started moving. Noise and smoke filled the inside of the vehicle as it started to move forwards.
I had been a prisoner for five years and I knew one thing, they weren’t taking us to the mines. Where were they taking us?
