iv – Demon Fox
“Hey bruh.” I said to the lizard man. “I always buy shit here and yet you don’t give me a discount? This has been the worst trade, since, like, ever.”
“Bruh.” The lizard man unconsciously licked his nose with his thin tongue. “Ya, ya, I’ll give you an extra, little girl. Just because you’re cute. Tell your parents that they should be the ones who should buy stuff. And not their precious daughter.” He smilled.
I suddenly remembered my parents. Those fuckers.
My mom, who was a high elf divorced my father, who was a dwarf. The reason? Because she got tired of his small dick. Well, yeah, I guess that was a sound reasoning. My mother didn’t want me as I remind her of my small father. So I grew up in the forest, with only a knife in hand. My father? The day that my mom left him, he hung himself. On the tree where the two of them met. Where they had the sweetest dates, he proposed. Where everything started. He told me that it was just appropriate to end it where it started. And that’s how I learned how to survive on my own. I became something less of a person. Something like an animal. Until I met Elaiza. I guess, she would count as my parent…? Right?
“Yes, I’ll tell them, Mr. Lizardous.” I smiled as I took the extra piece of meat that I got from him.
And then, a loud explosion was heard.
It came from the place where our previous customer lives.
Since it wasn’t that far away from where I am now, I decided that I should take a look.
All of the people where running away to safety.
“Everyone, get inside this portal. This is a portal to go outside of town.” It was Elaiza. Along with her was her daughter.
“What’s happening here?” I said as I ran towards her.

“It seems like something has happened to our last client. The explosion is coming from his house. And the fire is spreading everywhere.” Elaiza looked at me in the eyes. “Investigate what’s happening over there. I have a bad feeling about this.”
I nodded as I ran.
The fire was spreading everywhere. As I was running, I told them to run towards the smiths where Elaiza and her portal was and that it leads to a safe place.
And in the middle of it all. Was a Ronin looking person. I noticed that it has boobs and long ears. A female high elf? She had long green hair tied to her back. She was wearing a sakkat.
“Can you tell me what’s happening here?” I asked.
In the blink of an eye, she was in front of me, her sword was about to slash me in a melee second. It was a good thing that I have the wand that Elaiza gave me. I used it to block her sword.
That’s when I realized.
“The Demon Fox.” I said as I noticed the fox mask that she was wearing and the sword that she has. It was a katana with a red glow. Elaiza always rant about wanting to have the Demon Fox’s sword.
This is a bad match up.
The Demon Fox jumped back and sheathed her katana.
“Get away from here.” She said with her muffled voice.
“Did you know that if you tell someone to do something, they would like to do that more?” I smirked.
I still can’t cast spells like a regular mage. The only spell that I know is Mana Drain. And obviously, mages are weak against melee attacks.
“Then do that in hell.” The Demon Fox launched herself towards me with her right foot.
I backed away. But hell, she was fast.
I blocked all of her fast attacks with my small magic wand with a star on top. But I can’t block it all. The dress that Elaiza gave me are being destroyed, bit by bit.
Her barrage of attacks ended as we both stood on the roof of opposing buildings.
“Just what the fuck are you doing on that building? Are you guys burning weed and accidentally burned the whole city?” I smirked.
And with that, she vanished. I looked above, and there she was.
Without thinking, I blocked it with my both hands holding my wand.
I saved myself. But not my groceries. Her katana sliced the plastic containing everything that I just bought.
“You…”
The Demon Fox tilted her head.
“You ruined our barbeque.” The barbeque that Elaiza and Xinthia would want to eat…. Destroyed by this…
I threw my wand and took the hidden blades that I hid underneath my dress.
Jumping front, sideways, and onto her back with my speed unmatched by none. I aimed my knives unto her neck. And just as I thought that I have her, she blocked my knives with her katana. Without looking.
“Is that it?” She said. “You are still weak, Gretzel.”
“Wha-? How did yo-“
Before I even finish my sentence, she spun around and hit my neck with her saya. And instantly lose my consciousness.
