As I awaken, find the same pillow of her tail leaving me rested and energized. I turn towards the pool where she floats with her arms outstretched. The water never ripples as she stays unmoving on her pool except the gentle moving of her chest as she breaths.
Her jade colored hair covers another layer underneath of pale blue hair that flutters across the water dispersing in every direction. After a few moments of watching her, I lift myself from touch with measured slowness as not to wake her. I walk over to a jellyfish picking the creature up before I use it for lighting the area.
I avoid grabbing its tentacles for obvious reasons, and as I use the blue light for illuminating the chasm, I saunter towards the edge of the waterfall where I discover a far larger pool with the same blue radiance due to jellyfish. The pool's size allows seven other sirens who play with one another while coral of all colors dots the bottom of the pool.
The 300 foot drop off prevents me from moving further down, so I watch these creatures as they dance through the water with their other worldly elegance.
My cryo grenade entrapped up here with piles and piles of rubble, and without any other artillery, my other ways to escape dwindle to nothing. My stomach rumbles as I watch them, so I glance closer eventually spotting them eating the jellyfish that fall on shore.
Similar vents line the bottom of the larger pool, so I reason the jellyfish and other phosphorescent creatures feed from the nutrients in the water. The ecosystem fascinates me, so I nibble at the jellyfish I used for light as I peer at these majestic creatures.
They dive from the water with their tales like dolphins while their gills open whenever they move through the water allowing them both in and out of water breathing. Whenever they sleep, they float on the water by placing their muscular tails on shore while their softer upper bodies float in the water.
The jellyfish resists my chewing with texture like rice. The flavor reminds me of bread and garlic, and I stuff myself with less than half of one of their bodies. The density of the morsel amazes me before a finger taps my shoulder.
I jump startled at the sudden sensation, but chuckle as I turn around saying, "So how did you get here?"
A gentle song fills my ears as lift myself from the edge of the waterfall. As I turn around, the purple aura around the tattoos that line her face glow with a noticeable increase in intensity. The blue-purple compliments her skin and hair however, and her cheery smile offers yet another drawing point for my viewing. What a temptress.
She slides into the stream leading to the waterfall where she over powers the current with several powerful strokes of her tail. As we reach the edge of her pool, she gestures for my coming over to her. A small smile grows on my lips before I crawl to the edge of the pond.
I lay down beside her as she leans on the outside of the pool rester her arms on the edge of the pool. Her voluptuous chest lays against the edge of the stone accentuating her alluring aspects, but I maintain my suave as I meet her eyes saying, "What do you want to talk about?"

She leans towards me motioning her hand for me to come closer. As I lean towards her, she grabs me jerking with her tail forcing me into the pool with her. As water surrounds me, her voice comes into clarity as she laughs. The warmth of the water so closely mimics the temperature of my skin that I only feel the resistance of the water.
The salinity of the water even allows me to open my eyes without any pain or discomfort as if the water mimicked my own tears. She grabs me spinning me around as she says with a voice that reverberates through the water with deep yet feminine tone, "Finally you come back to the water."
My eyes widen, and she answers my unasked question, "My voice only swims through water, not air. You'll find my conversation more enlightening down here."
I grin as I point at my nose, so she says tapping her cheek, "You breathed in the water before though. I wonder why you can't any longer?"
Her declaration shocks the air from my lungs, so I dash towards the surface. The siren pulls me into her embrace jerking my body as though I were a ragdoll. She embraces me against her soft figure whispering, "Please don't leave me."
The wave of guilt almost overwhelms my desire for air, but my urge to breath engulfs all other sensations. I scramble and writhe against her grip, but her strength crushes all my attempts for escape. She says in the tone of a viper, "Why do you wish to leave?"
I form a plan within two seconds, so I relax my body mirroring death. She gasps releasing me as she claps her cheeks saying, "What? Why? I don't understand."
My ploy works before I explode flail my limbs against the water pushing my body upwards. As I near the surface, my lungs convulse for air as my heart pumps many times faster than normal. The top of my head hits air, but right before my nose breaches the surface, the siren rams into me hugging me as she says with a palpable relief,
"Oh thank the mother leviathan! I thought you had died. I don't want to be alone any longer. The thought hurts worse than breathing in icy water."
Her relief transforms into grief as she whimpers with the most desperate and forlorn voice imaginable, "Please, I'll be better. I didn't mean to say anything awful. I swear on my life. I swear by the ocean."
The depths of her loneliness cracks my resolve for air as I question for another precious moment. As my heart skips a beat racking my body with pain, I remember the reason for my goals.
I jerk from grasp as she weeps belting my mind with guilt. Tears fall from my eyes at her heart felt weeping. My own emotions warp as I scramble to the surface, but before I reach the surface, my body defeats my minds commands as I breath in the water around me.
