Traitor?
I stayed in the cabin, watching from the window. My hands nestled on the frosted window.
Orion kept his sword out but squaded a little going into a battle stance ready to pounce at a given moment. The demon looked twirled around icicles, maybe around ten. They hovered, circling him.
"We spent so many years looking for you, and here you are." The demon said.
"You know I hear stories of your triumphs in war. Orion the great they called you."
"Thank you," Orion replied.
"Bastard," The demon disappeared leaving the icicles and appeared beside Orion. He swung his sword and Orion blocked it. "When I bring your head back to the queen." The Icicles shot out towards Orion and impaled him. Orion fell and his body went limp.
Shit, I looked at Orion's body, as the widow started to fog up and frost formed. The demon looked over to me. "Don't worry boy, I haven't forgotten about you."
He started walking towards the door. the room filled with frost, as he reached the door. The door split open with the demon flinging through and Orion behind kicking him. The demon went through the wall across.
"Fuck my house," Orion said as he ran through the newly made holes in his house and chased the demon. Orion reached the demon as he regained his footing. Orion swung his sword as the demon countered.
CHINK CHINK CHINK.
Orion bombarded the demon with an onslaught of attacks, the demon using his ice dagger parried and repelled the attacks barely letting in some that hit his arms and legs.
Orion kicked the demon and jumped back.
"YOU DAMNED BASTARD!" The demon yelled and lept at Orion. He summoned another blade and started swinging. Orion was like a well-oiled machine he dodged and parried the demon's attacks as if they were nothing.
"Demon's art, Shower of Ullr." The demon sprung back as the snow formed arrows and shot at Orion.
Orion spun around and prepared a punch as if he was about to throw something. A shimmering glow appeared near Orion as he punched the air sending out a shockwave and destroying the arrows showering upon him.
The demon looked shocked, his wounds healing as snowflakes fell on him turning into his body.
"You are powerful Orion. I'll give you that." The demon raised his arms "But, you'll never be able to beat me."
He started to float and the air started to vibrate. Multiple magic circles appeared around the area creating a dome.
"Demon's ar-"
Orion dropped his sword and flickered beside the demon punching him on the right side of his jaw. The jaw shifted as it completely flew off of the demon's face. His body then lurched to the side, following the trajectory of the punch. His body fell to the ground as he held his face as snow gathered on it, forming the job back. Orion jumped and flipped his body around relentlessly.
"You're too young to be fighting me," Orion said looking down on the demon as he clenched his two fists together above his head. The glowing shimmer appeared against but this time there were four.
He slammed his fists down with tremendous force. It sent out a shockwave that knocked me over and sent me back a few meters. The air began to pulsate. I looked back over to see Orion on top of the demon and punching him repeatedly, each punch sending out a shockwave of air from the demon.
I ran behind a tree that looked fairly stable. All the trees around were trembling and shaking from the shockwaves. some branches broke and the bark peeled off, splintering from the waves of air.
I looked back over and the demon was mush. he looked like minced meat if meat was snow. White snow glistened and spewed out of the demon after each punch.
The demon turned into snow that flew away and reformed some distance away. He looked incredibly drained and breathed heavily.
"Are you going to run," Asked Orion.
The demon glared at him. He created two more swords out of ice. He charged at Orion, swinging his swords as he approached. Each swipe sends a slice through the air which Orion dodged effortlessly. The slice continued hitting some trees breaking branches and damaging the logs.
He reached Orion who dodged and began counterattacking. within a second Orion attacked the body, sending a right hook at the left side of his ribs. Then he jabbed at the demons faced with his left and then right. The Demon stumbled back and fell to his side.

Orion reached his arm out as his sword flew into his hand as if he had telepathy.
"Time to finish this," Orion raised his sword in front of him.
The demon looked at Dorian and lifted his hand.
"Wait!" The demon yelled.
"I Concede." The demon stumbled up and coughed.
"All I want is the boy," The demon pointed at me. "give him to me and I'll leave never to be seen again."
He still knew where I was even after I had gone to hide. How did he know that I was even here? I travelled for hours with the star that Orion gave me. I stared at him wondering how.
"Well, there is a small problem," Orion said.
"What?" Replied the demon.
"You've seen me," Orion said as he raised his sword.
The demon snarled and prepared for Orion. Ice gathered all over his body, a dark blue set of armour shined with a mystic glow. It had a shimmer of light blue and white swirling within. The fear on the demon's face was something I hadn't seen in this entire fight. I could tell that he regretted coming here and fighting Orion.
The air around Orion was different. The frost in the air, shaking off the trees, froze, and slowly moved away from Orion as if he had an aura around him. Multiple glows of lights flickered around Orion as his hair began to lift. Orion began to glow white as the darkness of the night faded. He shined like a star.
Orion looked at the demon and said "Greed is what killed you, not me."
The demon turned around and tried to run, but it was too late.
In the blink of an eye, Orion flickered and appeared in front of the demon losing his glow. Space distorted and everything distorted. Stars appeared and formed a constellation through the demon. The demon sliced into two down the middle vertically. Space returned to normal.
The demon started to reform again, but Orion flickered again and put his hand into his chest, then kicked the demon away. Orion gripped the demon's heart in his hand and pulled it out. The demon reformed but shrivelled and shrieked. His skin turned grey and his veins swelled. The armour melted turning into steam. His hair turned grey and fell out as he fell onto the ground and jerked a bit before stopping.
The demon's heart in Orion's hands faded away turning into a mist.
I felt a sharp pain in my wrist. I looked at my hand seeing snowflakes burn out of my skin and melt into water. This must have been how he knew where I was. He was tracking me the whole time. I came out of the forest to see Orion near his house.
Orion slumped and sighed. "My house collapsed."
I looked at Orion with awe. The familias all struggled with the demon and monsters before, but Orion just annihilated him.
"Hey, kid," Orion shouted.
I looked over to see him picking the demon's body up onto his shoulders.
"Start cleaning the area, I'll take care of the body," Orion said as he walked away into the forest.
I started picking up what I could and creating two piles out of the collapsed house. The wood was dense and heavy. Some pieces were too heavy and I couldn't pick them up. The first pile was reusable wood and the second was unusable wood. The logs were dry and old, so I only kept some of the newer wood in the reusable pile. Thus took an hour.
Orion took his time. I wondered thinking back to the fight. How did Orion survive being impaled by the Icicles at the beginning? He looked as if he didn't take any damage. He got impaled for sure.
Wondering I looked over to see the sword that Orion had given earlier in the day. It was a simple steel sword and had leather on the hilt. The sword was heavy but it felt good in my hand. I stood up and swung. The momentum made me stumble forward.
"God your terrible."
I looked over and Orion had returned. His eyes were darker from the lack of sleep. He yawned and looked at the piles.
"Well I'm not good as you but I'm not terrible," I said back.
"If you fought that demon you would have most likely killed yourself by falling on the sword," said Orion
I made a sad face as he chuckled probably from imagining me falling on my sword.
"How are you fine?" I asked. "You were impaled by Icicles at the beginning of the fight, yet here you are no blood in sight."
"Oh right... that," said Orion. He walked over to the crippled house taking out the two smooshed pillows. He tossed one over and looked at me.
"Questions for the mourning, remember?" said Orion as he lay down.
"Right," I said stubbornly.
I lay down and looked up at the stars. The ground was stiff but I wasn't bothered by it.
"King of stars huh," I said.
"Shut up and go to sleep," Orion mumbled.
I lay in silence watching the stars pass above, and slowly drifting asleep.
