After starting out of the window for a bit, something occurs to me. Why are we dropping in during the day? Wouldn't we be less visible during the night? After a while, it seems like I've barely gotten any closer to the planet. Although I do seem to be getting closer to the night side. Which is a good sign. I guess the pod is orbiting towards the night side. Eventually, I fall asleep.
As I wake up, I see the pod is starting to approach the day side. What the heck? Is it not going to drop down? Well then, I'll have to find a way down my self. First things first, I need to make my vacuum suit so I don't die in space. After I have done that, I have my nanites consume as much of the pod as I can without breaching it. Once I've done that, I make a hole in the bottom of the pod.

WHAM! I'm launched out of the pod, and now hurtling towards the planet. Once I hit the atmosphere I move my nanites so as to create a parachute above me. I float down slowly, eventually hitting the ground.
Once I'm down I look at my mapping device hoping it will show where the others are. Hmm... It looks like there about 200 miles away from me. Guess my pod must have malfunction stopping it from dropping me. I have my nanites consume a bunch of the ground, creating several hives in the process. Once I've done this, I make a vehicle out of my nanites and start heading toward my teammates.
