The group stood at the foot of the door that led to the headmaster's office. The group stared at the door as a golden-eyed, pure white feline with a rainbow wave effect travelling across its body sat in front of it.
"So is this the right place?" Reku asked as he and the others continued to stare at the heavily armoured metalic looking wooden door.
"Of course it is, it even says so here," Tanya snarked as she pointed at the sign that said headmaster's office.
"Oh..." Reku muttered as Destiny, sitting on Riku's shoulder, knocked on the door. The group waited and after waiting a few seconds the white feline floated to the door handle before opening the door. The feline gestured for the students to enter before flying into the headmaster's office. Mio followed behind Reku as the group walked into the headmaster's office.
A tall super tanned, one-armed, old man(he has spiky pale dark green hair with multiple black spike-like horns all over his head, dark green eyes, and only has one right arm) was reading a leather-backed book by a large, filled bookcase.
"Obelisk, the students you called for are here, not that you noticed..." the white feline stated with a calm female voice as she floated in front of Mio and the others. Obelisk chuckled as he closed his book and placed it back in the bookcase before walking over to his desk, which had a large wall-high window.
"My but wasn't it you whom wanted the noise-cancelling door, Risu?" Obelisk asked the feline as he picked up a large black fur coat with a super fluffy dark green collar and cuffs from his finely carved wooden chair and put it on. Resu huffed at Obelisk as she flew over to Obelisk and landed on the fluffiest part of Obelisk's coat's collar.
"Greeting students from class S-1," Obelisk said as he sat down in his chair.
"G-good day to you too, headmaster Vermillian," Tanya said with the most serious tone she could muster. Obelisk lightly chuckled as he rested his arm on his desk.
"There's no need to be so serious, it's not like I'm the member of royalty here," Obelisk jokingly said as Destiny awkwardly giggled at Obelisk's comment.
"So... why did you summon us then... sir, if you would..." Reku said whilst placing his hands behind his back as Obelisk was lightly coughing whilst Risu patted him on the back of the head.
"Right... although these students won't be here until the day of your trip to Harmony Falls; At the request of their mothers, I would like you to look after these students," Obelisk asked as he pulled a holographic tablet from a draw full of holographic tablets and handed it to Reku. The group looked at the four students(Destiny, Ninia, Mei-La and Fei-Ku) presented on the tablet before Reku defeatedly sighed.
"Hey that's me," Destiny joyfully said as she pointed at the student file of herself. Reku and Mio took a keen interest in Ninia(she has fluffy rose and dark red hair, large rose eyes, fair skin, four arms, six super long cat-like rose-coloured and dark red striped tails, her body is covered in rose and dark red striped fur, and ears that looks like two conjoined fox ears).
"What's wrong?" Tanya asked as Mio and, well mostly, Reku went unusually quiet. Tanya followed the path of their vision to Ninia's profile.
"Ninia Highcrest... hey isn't that your surname, Reku?" Tanya asked before she waved her hand in front of the duo's faces until they snapped out of their tranced state.
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
"Yeah... but I don't think I've seen her before," Reku said as Destiny lent over Reku's shoulder and looked at Ninia's student profile before getting a surprised expression.
"Hey I've seen her before... like ten years ago...," Destiny remarked as she felt the stares of everyone in the room, excluding Obelisk, staring at her.
"Ten years ago, you don't look any older than seven-," Tanya managed to say before Destiny placed her hands on Tanya's face.
"Hey! It's not my fault wu-lings don't have a teenage phase and go straight to an adult when they turn around twenty," Destiny stated as she took her hands off Tanya's face. Tanya awkwardly apologised as Obelisk chuckled to himself.
"It seems you three were definitely a good choice to add to the Star Leaders for the Unious Class you'll be guiding," Obelisk remarked as he stood up.
"But aren't all the members of S-1 Star Leaders for U-1?" Destiny asked before realising something.
"Wait does that mean I was in the wrong class?" Destiny asked as she quickly checked her student card and double checking that it said S-1.
"Oh, you seem to misunderstand you being on this tablet doesn't mean you're meant to be in the U-1 class it's just that I accidentally tapped the screen as I handed it to Reku," Obelisk explained as he tapped on Destiny's student profile before it flipped over and showed Kara.
"Oh, so I'm the Star Leader for Kara," Destiny said as she sighed in relief and wiped her forehead. Reku pondered something before he inquired as to why Obelisk was just telling them and not all the other members of S-1.
"That's because they'll be learning about it tomorrow and since the students you are assigned to won't be there I decided that, with the permission of your tutor, would have you doing something else tomorrow," Obelisk explained as Risu quickly flew off and brought Obelisk an old looking rolled-up map while the students were whispering to each other.
Risu handed the map to Tanya before the students inspected the map. The map led to an area located in the middle of a forest on the outskirts.
"While I was on one of my strolls I came across a small worn down shrine that contained this map that led to a magic dungeon that I'd have to say was dated to around five hundred years ago and I would like to request that you four accompany, Mercury, Mr Sakamoto, and I to investigate the dungeon," Obelisk explained.
Tanya and Destiny were extremely excited at the offer while Reku was unsure and Mio was slightly panicky; Mio attempted to speak but couldn't even muster a whisper.
"The Supreme Guild Master, which even I was surprised about running into at the aforementioned shrine, has already confirmed that the threat level of the dungeon is no higher than a D which you all are definitely overqualified for. Oh, that reminds me the Supreme Guild Master will also be joining us on the expedition," Obelisk added, which seemed to appease Mio's concerns.
"Although I don't want to seem ungrateful for the offer but... why are you giving this offer to us and not other members of staff or even hiring adventurers?" Reku asked before Destiny started to ruffly Reku's hair with all her might in an attempt to make him stop talking.
"Well, it never crossed my mind originally but the Supreme Guild Master was insistent that, the three people who were around the princess during the assembly must join us on the expedition," Obelisk stated as he straightened the files on his desk. Obelisk inquired if Reku or the others had any other questions to which they didn't.
Obelisk thanked the students for their time and they bidded him a good day before they left the office. Tanya became super pompous and did a fist pump as the group walked down the hallway.
"This has to be a miracle or fate... or would it be a blessing, whatever it is I just can't believe we're actually going to meet THEE Supreme Guild Master Chronia!" Tanya exclaimed, to the point it was basically a shout, as she couldn't contain her excitement, with Destiny happily nodding her head.
"Yeah, I'm so excited... I mean I haven't seen her in like three months," Destiny joyfully remarked which caused the others to stare at her again. Destiny slumped her head forwards in disbelief before sighing.
"Oh come on, is it really surprising the princess of the Zelkio Empire has met the Supreme Guild Master before?" Destiny rhetorically remarked as the others stopped staring at her while Reku and Tanya mentioned it probably shouldn't be now that they think about it.
