Chapter 3: Homeroom Session

Destiny peaked her head through a doorway and darted her head around as she inspected the empty classroom labelled S-1.

"It's clear." Destiny stated while signalling for the others to move in. Reku sighed and walked into the classroom, with Destiny pressing her chin on Reku's head as she ducked under the top of the door frame. Mio and Tanya entered shortly after them as Destiny quickly stood up on Reku's shoulders.

"What the hell is this?" Destiny stated while raising her arms outwards and looking at the long desks each with three seats, making Mio quietly snicker.

"Is that an actual question or just a random reference?" Reku asked. Destiny proudly smiled and placed her hands on her hips.

"Yes." Destiny smugly answered. Reku wasn't amused and decided to ignore Destiny's question before walking over to the teacher's desk, with a note in it. The note stated that the teacher was going to be a little late and that people can sit where ever they like, excluding her desk.

A few minutes later, the majority of the class, consisting of the group and eleven other students, waited in silence with the continual beeping from the digital clock attached to the wall. Mio placed her arms on the desk and rested her head on her arms.

"Is this how school normally goes?" Destiny, sitting on Reku's lap, inquired as she rested her head on Reku's chest and disappointedly closed her eyes.

"Hardly but if the handwriting on the note belongs to the person I think it does we won't have to wait much longer-" Reku said as he glanced over at Mio and noticed she was sleeping. He quickly shook her shoulder until she woke up as the classroom door opened and a short super light grey-skinned woman laying on a floating rectangular null gem(An opaque colourless gem) entered the classroom.

She had long and spiky super faint pink hair, super large super faint pink wings(each around ten feet long); along with wearing a loose-fitting black cat-eared hoodie, super short black short shorts and thigh-high white leggings.

The null gem platform arrived at the teacher's desk before the woman rolled onto the desk and then hopped her butt onto her chair, as the null gem platform disappeared. The woman let out a yawn before opening her luminescent cyan eyes, including the white part, and glanced at the class.

"Morning class, my name is Hazuki Calloukus but you can just call me Hazuki-sensei, and I'll be your homeroom teacher for your time at the academy," Hazuki chirpily said as she counted the students in the class before letting out a disappointed sigh, which made the S-1 students nervously sweat.

"It seems they're not here yet, what a hassle; oh well, I'll just tell them later," Hazuki remarked as she slumped back in her chair. Reku sighed as Tanya was leaning towards him.

"Who do you think she's referring to?" Tanya asked as the class watched Hazuki as she was searching through her laptop. Destiny opened her eyes quickly before slowly glancing upwards and giving Reku puppy dog eyes.

"She's probably referring to her sister's children and their friends, who are all good friends of mine," Destiny happily stated. Tanya was about to ask Destiny who they were but was interrupted by Hazuki coughing loudly, which also got the attention of the other class S-1 students.

"Alright everyone, I know you're all excited about the whole no more standardized test thing but could you settle down so I can tell you what that fully entails," Hazuki pleaded as the class' muttering died down. Hazuki thanked the class for their cooperation before a holographic screen appeared on the wall.

"Alright as the S.C.P, heh, stated during the assembly, instead of having standardized tests you'll be undergoing a new form of evaluation and education system, but I bet you're wondering why that is?" Hazuki stated as a road map appeared on the screen.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

"A few years ago, Emperor King Providence got an idea for a revamped education system that he then had Magistrate Zulcrestus and his subordinates simulate what the revamp would be like; he then had the prince do some logistical mumbo-jumbo, that not even Magistrate Calloukus could understand," Hazuki explained as various illustrations and chibi versions of the people she mentioned appeared on the holographic screen.

"Let's just skip that part," Hazuki mumbled as she skipped over the superdense report the prince had written before stopping on the road map's third section.

"So, after the test of the revamped system, the emperor then inquired with the Oracle Shogun Kara Raiden, who I think is in class U-1, to see if it could be done on a wider scale and I can assume you can guess what she said?" Hazuki rhetorically asked with the students nodding their heads.

"Good, well there was one tweak to the emperor's original system, at the oracle shogun's request, to add more practical exercises and activities during the school year, which the emperor agreed to.". Hazuki noticed that one of the students had her hand up and Hazuki asked her what she wanted to say.

"What do you mean by more practical, Hazuki-sensei?" the female student asked.

"Heh, to put it in simple terms; it means there will be more school trips, basically," Hazuki stated.

"Oh and speaking of school trips there will be one, that will last for two weeks, this Validay," Hazuki added. The students instantly began to murmur amongst themselves about what Hazuki had said.

"Going on a school trip on the third day of term, that sounds like something Mr Fluffy would do," Destiny mentioned as she playfully swayed her feet back and forwards. Mio slowly glanced over at Destiny.

"Mr... Fluffy?" Mio quietly whispered. Destiny gave a confirmative nod as she turned to face Mio.

"Yeah he's-" Destiny managed to say before abruptly stopping when Hazuki began to explain, in-depth, what the class would be doing on the school trip.

Later in the day, Mio and the others were walking down a hallway as Destiny, who was on Reku's back, and Tanya were humming a tune before stopping when the group walked around a corner.

"So, it's this way right?" Destiny asked as she pointed left.

"Yeah it should be down the hallway and then after another right, it should be the third door on the left," Tanya mentioned.

As the group continued down the hallway, Mio noticed Mercury was talking to a tall adult male(a light tan, mostly blond hair with some lime and a single night sky ahoge, white horns on his head and blond eyes with lime iris'; along with wearing a white shirt, a yellow sleeveless trench coat, white wool joggers and metal dawnite boots) far off at the end of the hall.

"Is that so, Sakamoto-sensei? Well, I'll be sure to let her know," Mercury said. Mercury was about to say something when the voice of Destiny shot past them.

"Mr Sakamono," Destiny exclaimed cheerfully as the group stopped next to Mercury and the teacher.

"Well, if it isn't Little Miss Off-the-Grid," Mr Sakamoto remarked, causing Destiny to awkwardly chuckle as she slightly hid behind Reku. Mr Sakamoto looked over at Mio and seemed to recognise her.

"Say you're Mio Maouhideo right?" Mr Sakamoto remarked; Mio was instantly startled and flusteredly slumped her head down at having a question directed at her. Reku sighed before waving his hand to get Mr Sakamoto's attention.

"Yeah that would be her but don't take her silence for rudeness and drastic eye aversion, she's just shy," Reku explained.

"I see, well it's a pleasure to meet you and since Mercury is here I'll be taking my leave now, but if you ever need mine or Nebula's help feel free to ask," Mr Sakamoto remarked as he turned around and revealed Nebula (short girl, a pale skinned, long hair that resembles a nebula in the night sky) in an oversized white lab coat, that's three quarters the height of Mr Sakamoto, clinging to Mr Sakamoto's back before he walked off.

"So, what were you talking about, Kinko?" Tanya asked.

"He asked me to tell you lot that the dean requests your presence, nothing serious," Mercury explained. The group looked puzzledly at each other before glancing back at Mercury.

"Who?" Tanya asked, much to Mercury's annoyance and it annoyed him so much that he chopped Tanya on the forehead.

"I'm referring to the headmaster you nitwits, honestly I'm starting to worry my sister's stupidity is already beginning to rub off on all of you," Mercury snarked. As Mercury was giving Tanya, who was rubbing her forehead, the directions to the headmaster's office, Destiny glanced down the hallway Mr Sakamoto had walked down and noticed Nebula, whose eyes were the same colour as her hair, was staring at her.

The two blankly stared at each other before giving each other a thumbs up with smug looks on their faces.
