“As you students have heard, the great dragon Attoryuu came to our aid and chased away the enemies. There is nothing more to fear!” The old man said. “Principal Ost, who were those people?” A teacher stepped up and asked. The old man glared at him “They were just some common bandits.” The teacher knew that he did something wrong so he didn’t continue to speak.
‘Some common bandits? A great dragon chased away common bandits, what a laughable explanation. Perhaps that man, Gabriel found out it was me and came rushing here to seek revenge.’ Azura kept looking at the principal with a pure look, as if she couldn’t hurt a fly.
“Although there is no more danger, you must all still be in shock. School is dismissed for today!” As soon as the principal said that, most of the students cheered. Most that is, students like Amelia who loved school drooped down. Azura looked at her and rubbed her back. “Yay~~ Azura finally touched me~~” All the students nearby looked at them as a result of her saying that. Amelia got embarrassed and ran to her room as she pulled Azura along.
When Amelia got to her room she let go of Azura’s hand and ran to her bed. After looking under the bed for about a minute she took something out. A small black wooden box. “Look Azura, I got this yesterday. It’s sent from my grandfather who is a High Magus, the strongest in this continent!” As Azura remembered the rankings for the mages were: Acolytes, people still learning magic and who have not yet grasped Mana. Apprentice, people who only knew very weak spells and also had very little Mana. Magus, magicians who could easily get rid of lake or a hill. High Magus, magicians who could, if they wanted to get rid of entire seas and mountains. Arch Mage, Azura’s previous title, people who could get rid of continents as easily as flipping over their hand.

In this world though, there is no one who has reached Arch Mage level, the closest is Amelia’s ancestor, Wilhelm Von Deut, who has only recently broken through. He is currently 759 years old, but Amelia calls him Grandfather due to them having a close bond.
Amelia took out a key and put it into the keyhole.

The box slowly opened to reveal a pitch black ring with a strange ruby in the middle. Amelia and Azura looked at eachother. The excited girl took the ring and put it onto her finger. “Well? How does it look? A gift from grandfather, it must definitely look beautiful.” She ogled at the ring on her finger until Azura snapped her out of it. “It’s not jewelry, it’s a flame stone meant to increase the power and decrease the mana consumption of your fire spells.”
Amelia stared at Azura, then her eyes widened as she looked at the ring. She immediately chanted a spell. She lifted a finger and a flame started to erupt from it. “I.. It really is! The flame is way~ bigger! And the mana consumption is like.. way lower!” She squealed as she held the ring on her finger.
“Azura~ Let’s go~ I want to show it off!!!” Azura once again, was pulled away by the human puppy. After being pulled, they went on a drive-by show off. People didn’t even have time to react as they saw a ring being shoved into their faces and disappearing, only to reappear in another person's face. After every student had almost gotten hit by the ring in their face, did they return back to the dormitory.
“Hey Azura?” Amelia suddenly turned sad, yet expectant. “Yes?” Azura only said one simple word. “C.. Can.. I know this is a weird request but.. Can I please ride your unicorn.” She shouted out the last part of her sentence. When she realised that she quickly ran into Azura’s small embrace. Azura, the girl she is, didn’t care. “Sure, just don’t do too much stuff to it or it will knock you down.” She said as she patted the girl in her bosom.
