Prologue:

For countless years there has been a lake of blood named Devil's Origin. This lake is a lake of many mysteries, thus causing the land around it to be called the Bewitched land.

This lake was originally a hole in a battlefield. A war between two empires, the Calise Empire and the Haril Empire. resulted in this hole being created. The land in which the war took place on was a huge rock, this resulted in none of the blood, water and other liquids to not be absorbed into the ground. Most of the blood in the war came into the hole, resulting into a pool of blood being formed. This pool was nothing special, until the special event occurred.

An important cultivator of the Haril Empire was making a breakthrough on the pool of blood, so he was guarded by the top expert of the empire. The top expert of the Calise Empire noticed this and tried to kill of the cultivator making the breakthrough knowing it will cause the demise of his Empire. The 2 experts fought each other and used many magical artifacts which was thrown into the pool after being used. In the end, the expert of the Calise Empire self-detonated trying to kill both the expert and the cultivator making the breakthrough to die. The expert used a magical artifact to preserve the cultivators life in exchange that he dies. Since the artifact protected the cultivator from harm, most of the energy was absorb by the artifacts in the pool. The cultivator reached a critical point of his breakthrough and passed it, but he had to undergo a tribulation of lightning, fire, water and ice.

First was the tribulation of water, which the cultivator easily endured. The remaining tribulation water fell into the pool of blood expanding it. After that was the trial of ice, which was surpassed and left as chunks of ice on the surface of the blood pool. Then it was the fire trial which was surpassed, the fire mainly absorbed by a fire artifact. The rest melted the tribulation ice into water that merged with the pool or melted artifacts. The energy stored in the artifacts melted merged with the pool, although the pool looked the same, it was entirely different.

Finally the trial of lightning descended, the cultivator looked at the sky with despair in his eyes as he knew he couldn't survive it. Ready to accept his fate, he sat cross legged on the pool. The lightning descended and to the cultivators surprise, the lightning was absorbed by the pool. Eventually the trial finished, with all the energy being absorbed by the pool. The pool was significantly bigger and now became a pond.

The cultivator eventually led the empire to war, and after he returned to this very same pool. He threw in a pill as gratitude in saving his life. The result of was shocking as all the dead corpses on land and blood was absorbed into the pool. The man was once again shocked. Then the pill returned, but was blood red and was much more strong. The man took the pill and advanced extremely in cultivation, which excited him. He made the land the sacred land of the empire and told the empire to give the pool offerings (like dead corpses, pills and animals, but mostly corpses and animals) every day, and to put in a item of their choice with more corpses after every year. The man did this as he knows the amount of corpses the pool absorbed will equal to the offerings from the empire after a year. The pool was called the God's Fortune. The empire rose dramatically in strength from the treasures they acquired from the land. It prospered for many years until another event.

A dead corpse of a Demonic Azure Dragon fell into the pool. The pool absorbed the corpse and it's bag of holding which contained many pills, artifacts and precious items, but got contaminated by the Demonic energy of the dragon . Normal Demonic energy meant nothing to the pool but this Demonic energy was too much for the pool to handle. The pool absorbed everything in the vicinity of the land, all the precious ores and all the energy were absorbed.

The Haril Empire came to investigate it, but the first person to enter was absorbed. The other people were alerted and were shocked. Eventually the sacred land became the forbidden land of the Empire. Anything that enters gets absorbed, all energy present in the air gets absorbed, all ores get absorbed and etc.

Countless years later, the Empire still exists because of the items from pool, but it has severely weakened into that of a weak empire. The land has helped the Empire a little has they don't need to defend it from intruders, it is still a part of the land of the Empire as it still hopes for the pool to return to normal. Pond has turned into a lake and cover a bigger portion of the land.

Then came the fated day, the pool turned into a whirl pool and started rapidly absorbing energy. The radius of the suction extended past the land and into the empire, and the clouds in the air churned. Suddenly, loud thunder is heard and a pitch black tribulation lightning bolt, countless times stronger than the man from before faced, falls from skies and hits the pool. The absorption power stops and the mist from the lightning bolt clears up, revealing a naked 14 year old standing in the middle of where the Devil's Origin Lake should have been.

Author's note: Hey guys, hope you enjoyed the prologue. I just thought of this idea on the train and came home to write the prologue. This is a rough version and is not fully planned out.
