Chapter 4:

After eating chicken with salad I went back to my room. I told the Hale's that I'm tired and wanted to rest. They didn't suspect me or question me and let me go back to my room.

I lied down on top of the white mattress with a blue sheet on it. Crossing my legs, I go into meditation to sort out the man's memories. Since the man was part of the most loyal family of the empire, he had access to some important information.

It seems that in the past when I wasn't sentient, I used to the sacred land of the empire which brought it wealth, strength and glory. It seems that I used to give items to the empire when they gave me a lot of blood. Strangely, it's oddly similar to my Absorb ability. I think I used to use Absorb on items before using another skill which returned it to them stronger.

Another piece of important info was the cultivation levels of the world:

Immortal

Each rank in cultivation has 10 levels in it with 4 ranks in it. The tiers are low, mid, high and peak. E.g. Low tier Rank 1 Qi Refiner, High tier Rank 5 Dao Saint.

There was other information on cultivation, it was Divine Bodies, Divine Bloodlines and finally Celestial Bloodline Bodies. (Author's note: I got the idea from Mar*ial G*d A*u*a )

Certain people are born with special bodies. These bodies grant them power far stronger than regular people. Instead of cultivating the normal qi, they cultivate the power from their divine body. (E.g. A person born with a Divine Body which bestows them a special kind of fire must keep gathering that fire's qi.) By gathering that power and refining it, they can progress in cultivation. They also don't need resources to progress, but if they use it, it is far more effective than for normal people. Progressing in levels is much easier for people with Divine Bodies, but in exchange, they have bottlenecks which are much harder to break through. Not only do they have a special power, they are immune to it as well. Their comprehension speed is also much stronger than regular people.

Divine Bloodlines are powers which are hereditary. It is a power which flows in the blood of a person and is passed down to their descendants. The power weakens as the bloodline thins from generation to generation, but there are a few people born with extremely pure and thick bloodlines. Divine Bloodlines bestow the people with it a special power, which is similar to a Divine Body. Unlike the Divine Bodies, people with Divine Bloodlines cultivate normal qi, and can't cultivate their power. The power's abilities unlock as long as you progress in cultivation. People with the special bloodline have stronger bodies than regular people, stronger comprehension ability and have easier bottlenecks. Nothing comes for free as although you gain many benefits from Divine Bloodlines, people with it require massive amounts of resources to cultivate. They can't cultivate without resources. In return their qi is denser.

It is possible for people to have 2 bloodlines or 2 divine bodies, it's even possible for people to have a divine body and divine bloodline. People with both have the possibility to have a Celestial Bloodline Body.

Celestial Bloodline Body is the combination of both, but it is extremely rare. The Divine Body and the bloodline have to give the person the same type of power. For example: A bloodline gives someone ice powers and his divine body also gives him ice powers, which combine to create the Celestial Bloodline Body. These bodies are much stronger than the other 2, but much harder to cultivate. People which this body, have bodies far stronger than people with Divine Bloodlines. People with Divine Bodies are only physically stronger than others because the power runs in their blood, which goes through their body. Celestial Bloodline Bodies on the other hand send their power throughout their whole body. It exists in their blood, in their muscles, in their brain, etc. Having the power merge with their bodies gives them benefits. For people with bloodlines, if someone injuries them causes their blood to come out, the power in the blood will activate. E.g. If someone's power is acid, and someone cuts their hand with a sword till it bleeds, the acid will corrode the sword. For people with Celestial Bloodline Bodies, just their aura can emit their bodies power, which they can control to show its power or not. Injuring them can, even if they don't bleed, can emit their power. E.g. If someone has the power for ice, can freeze their surroundings with their aura. If someone grabs their hand, their hand starts to freeze.

A person can only have 1 Celestial Bloodline Body, and their descendants can only inherit the bloodline part of the body.

Celestial Bloodline Bodies have other benefits like being able to cultivate both their power and normal qi, as well as better comprehension and much denser qi as well as resources being more useful. The downsides are that they have extremely hard bottlenecks and require a lot of resources.

All these special bodies and bloodlines have a separation in strength. The ranks are:

Human

Earth

Heaven

Immortal

Divine

Sovereign

There are also separations of power in the ranks like a lower tier bloodline and a higher tier bloodline. There is lower tier, middle tier, high tier and peak tier.

Divine bodies are usually 1 tier stronger than bloodlines until they both are in the immortal rank, where they become same strength henceforth. E.g. A Low tier Human ranked Divine Body will have the same strength as an mid tier Human ranked Divine Bloodline. Low tier Immortal ranked Divine Body = Low tier Immortal ranked Divine Bloodline

Celestial Bloodline Bodies are 1 rank stronger than Divine bodies and 1 rank and 1 tier stronger than divine bloodlines until the Immortal rank. E.g. Low tier Human ranked Celestial Bloodline Body = low tier Earth ranked Divine Body or = mid tier Earth ranked Divine Bloodline. Low tier Heaven ranked Celestial Bloodline Body = Low tier Immortal ranked Divine Body or = Low tier Immortal Ranked Divine Bloodline.

Divine Bloodlines are special in that, their bloodline power can be strengthened to another rank or tier. E.g. A person with a low tier human ranked bloodline gains the power of Sky fire. If that person absorbs a fire of a higher tier, their bloodline can go to the next tier or rank. If they for example absorb Hellfire, their Sky fire can get stronger, or their power becomes Hell fire, as well as their bloodline improving tiers or ranks.

Normal cultivators have affinities to elements likes the earth element or fire element, which they use in attacks. The affinity levels are None, Garbage, Below Average, Average, Above Average, Good, Excellent, Genius, Monster, God and finally Complete affinity (100% control over affinity). Cultivators with divine bodies, celestial bloodline bodies, bloodlines, have special elements like hellfire or holy water.

That's all the information I got from Cero's memories. It took well into the night to organize his memories and assimilate it into my brain. I rested a little and wiped the sweat off my forehead. Half an hour later, I got ready to use Blood Tale on the Hale's. Just as I got off my bed and headed towards the door, a problem arose in my head. How will I sneak into their room?

I walked around the room while biting on my thumb, trying to think of a solution. Just as I was going to give up and just try to charge in, another ability of mine swiftly and coolly arrived in my mind. Doppelganger, a skill which allows me to create clones. It's essentially splitting some of my blood and creating a clone with it. I tried manipulating my blood to come out of the gem in my dantian, but it didn't work. After about an hour of practicing, I finally got some of my blood to move. Moving out some of my blood took about 15 minutes, which exhausted all of my strength and sent me falling to my bottom, gasping and panting for air. Sweating a tsunami, a grin appeared on my face. Regaining some of my strength a few minutes later, I manipulated the blood to look like a palm sized figure of me.

Suddenly 2 people's vision appeared in my head and confused me. Processing it for a while, I finally found out how to cope with 2 people's vision. I could manipulate my brain 2 split and multitask or I can use my main bodies vision to combine with the clone's vision, choosing which one 2 view. Merging visions, I controlled the clone to walk towards the door. Since I couldn't reach it, I turned it's body into blood and made is flow under it before forming into the miniature figure of me again. I walked down the dark hallway, seeing big paintings of trees and wars. Arriving outside the Hale's building, I turned back into blood. Repeating the same process, I snuck into their room. I climbed onto their bed and went to Krish. His hand was outstretched as he had a bad sleeping posture. His leg was onto of his wife's body and his other hand on top of the bed frame. I turned my index finger into a needle and walked up to Krish's hand. I then proceed to poke his index finger to get a drop of blood. He flinched a little before returning to normal. I let out a sigh of relief as he didn't wake up, before using Blood Tale on his blood. Immediately my main body fell unconsciousness and all of my consciousness shifted to this body. Knowing that my body was adapting to the memories, I sat cross legged. Some of the memories flowed into this body, and all I received was images of Krish cutting trees down.

Seeing that I didn't get any useful memories, I tried something I though off. Can I use Blood Tale more than once on a person. Experimenting it, I poked his pinky, this time my other body fading into darkness. When I woke up an hour later, I found useless memories of Krish cutting trees down. Knowing I failed, I let out a wry smile has even though I didn't get the memories, I found out I can use my abilities more than once on a person.

Few hours later, I finally got the information I wanted, from both Hale's. It seems that they genuinely wanted me as their child. In the memories I got, Courtney was examined by an empires doctor, and they told her, she is unable to give birth. This caused her deep depression, but Krish stayed with her and didn't get another wife or concubine. He stayed loyal to her even with her problems. Now that they have a son, both of them were extremely happy.

I returned back to my room, and thought about their situation. Since they meant no harm, I might as well accept them as parents. Thinking about the Hales, or mom and dad, I slept soundly without any of my defenses up. Unknown to me, I slept with the biggest grin ever.

Author's note: Hey guys, it's been a long time since I updated. I'm moving soon, and will be finished by the 20th. I also started writing a different series called the Dungeon Runner, which I updated a lot. I didn't update this story mainly because I got writers block on how the later parts of the story should be. Another reason is because of the other story, I started that other story is because I really love that genre.
