AURORA
Chapter 4
**The Less I Know The Better**
The Kuroshiro Kingdom, a realm with over 2000 years of history, covered a vast area of 1.5 million square kilometers. Its capital, Omen, was home to King Des Kuroshiro, known for his kindness. He had ascended to the throne at just 11 years old after his parents were killed by demons. Despite missing a hand, he was the strongest among his siblings and often went undercover to check on his people.
This kingdom had housed 10 million inhabitants, including 6 million humans and 4 million other humanoid species like Elves, Orcs, Ogres, Goblins, Beastfolk, and Dwarves. They worshiped deities such as Ennana, Sedahi, Rhiniah, and various minor gods in different regions.

Beyond the human kingdom had lain the Evan Kingdom, mainly inhabited by Elves. While they generally had a good relationship, occasional conflicts had arisen due to past grievances.
It's worth noting that despite Des's kind heart, he had shown no mercy towards demons and had even approved of slavery. Because of this, some illegal slavery trades and contracts had been formed just for money.
Des had three elder sisters and two younger brothers, all of whom were given noble titles of duchess and duke. Additionally, there were cousins with titles ranging from duke to viscount and baron. Some of them distanced themselves from the royal family.
An exception was Vince, who became a duke purely due to his extraordinary talents, despite not being born into the royal family.
Beyond these two kingdoms lay tribes dwelling in the wilds, while on the distant horizon loomed the colossal Asur Kingdom, ruled by the demon king Asur. It shrouded half the planet in an ominous darkness rumored to bolster demon strength. Asur's singular ambition was world domination.
Despite human's burning desire to explore the world, humans were deterred by the constant threat of demons, and those who attempted to leave the kingdom never returned.
Humans, elves, and numerous tribes were diligently preparing for the inevitable moment when they would fight against the menacing demons.
