Don't play with your food~!

*gurrururru*

"Haa~" Step by step, I go further and further. Soft grass under my feet. Gentle wind rustling the leaves above. Nature surrounds me with an incredibly fresh presence. There are so many pleasant sights in the forest. Animals are unafraid of me, allowing an unfiltered view of untainted wilderness. So many places to explore, so much to investigate, so much-

*GURuRrurur*

"And still nothing! Why isn't there anything to eat?!" Crying out, I startle a cute bunny away, while a few birds take flight. Pressing a hand to my stomach sooths the empty feeling for a moment, but it does nothing to get rid of my hunger. I stare at the little white bundle of cuteness as it stops and eyes me again. For a short instant, I thought about rabbit stew; my body instantly felt sick. Shaking away the thought, the hunger continued its haunting of my flesh.

"Haa~ why me? Wake up in the middle of nowhere, find out I'm a little girl, a fox girl at that." A shiver went down my spine, fur fluffing in response, as I think how this body and appearance would be taken in my previous life. While I haven't seen myself - other than the waist length hair the color of snow, fluting down my back and tail - simply existing would cause pandemoneum for otaku and perverts alike. That would be hell. Not to mention those blessings.

DAMN THAT GODDESS! I knew this was too good to be true! She never even gave her name, so I can't pray or curse her! What would I do if... "Haa~"

Granted, this is probably my own fault. I asked for them, and put myself in this situation. DOn't know how I got where I am, but... If only I could find a road. But a day of walking found me nowhere! Absolutely nowhere! No idea where I am, how I got there, or even wha - "IS THAT A ROAD?!"

Creeping between a few trees is a length of brown. Running forwards, I quickly find a dirt path. Yes! There is civilization! And that means food! Just have to follow the road! Left has nothing, right has... Blinking, I rub my eyes, then look again. "Is that a carriage? The heck happened to it?"

Shaking my thoughts, I run up to the half-destroyed wreackage of wood and tarp. It almost looks like something blew up inside it, but that would have set it on fire. Right? Careful of the splintered wood, I go up to the main part. It's still properly on four wheels, but the frame is somehow destroyed. One side has a whole portion gone, which obviously separated what would have held the horse in place. DId it run off? The other side doesn't look like it was affected, just missing, but it could have simply been pulled off with the horse?

Crawling up into the main portion, I look around the crates for food. Some have easy to open lids, but others are held closed tightly with nails. Grimacing, I think about using magic before dismissing it. There is no telling what might happen; my first attempt at magic quickly coming to mind.

*Grrrrrrr*

Both hands quickly flew to my stomach at the sound. Weird though, it didn't sound like it came from my stomach? Sighing again for the umpteenth time, I close my eyes and sniff for food. There seems to be some scent of something that could be food. Despite it being my first time trying this, it seems so easy. Although there is anothre smell that I really REALLY don't like. It makes my body tremble for some reason?

*GRRRRRRRR*

"HYAA!" Twisting about mid-air in fright, I quickly found myself face-to-drooling-snout with a black wolf-like creature. One several times larger, teeth far sharper, and eyes much hungrier than I'd like. Instantly, I could feel all the fur on my body - standing rigid. A 'blessing' quickly came to mind.

"KYaaaaaaaaaa~!" I turn tail and run! There is no way I want to be eaten!

Before even thinking about it, I twirl away from the gaping maw. Another shiver runs its course as the tip of one of my tails - I have two, but I don't want EITHER eaten! - feels like it had some fur ripped out. Taking a quick leap of faith, I hope over the side of the destroyed cart, opposite of the demon. Not use to my speed and strength, I end up much further than I thought, and almost slip on the large piece of wood I land on. But, to keep momentum, I twist and push off - tails stailizing every motion. The wood shoots back as I fly forwards, and I hear a yelp! Yes!

My feet hit solid ground and I sprint as fast as possible. I don't dare look back, despite having the feeling that I'm moving much faster than any professional runner ever could. Can a car run this fast? Of course it can! I'm not THAT fa-

"HYaaa!" MORE TAIL FUR?! NO THINKING! RUN RUN RUN! ESCAPE! Is that heat it's BREATH on my TAIL?! Need an escape!

Looking left and right, I look for a small opening between trees. Thankfully, there were many trees huddled closely together, and I take a dive to the side of the road, launching between them. Quickly, before it could maneuver around them, I jump as high as possible, grabbing a branch, then fling myself higher to another, and up as high as I think the branches can handle without breaking under my weight.

"Haa, Haa, Haa" Looking down, the demon is cocking its head left and right. Does it not understand that it can't get me up here? I escaped! Now what? What can you do now?! Stupid mutt! Large... Evil... Powerfull... Mutt? Why do you look like you're going to charge the tree? "Don't..."

It runs... and bashes against the tree!

*CRACK*CREAK*CRICKLE~*

No, way?! I-It's leaning, no, falling? The tree is FALLING from a single shove?! "Hyeaaaaaaaaaa~"

WHY ME?!

I cry. I can already feel the tears. All I can do is hold oooooon~!

*FWAAAAAAAAAAASH*CRASHhhhhh!*

I push myself up from inside the branches. Alive. I'm alive?! "I'm ALIVE! Hahaha-"

*Grrrrrrr*

"Hiiiiiiii" Instantly, every single fur is standing on end as I turn, face-to-drooling-snout. Red demonic eyes send fear through every fiber of my being, and I can't even muster feeling through my legs anymore. It's snout opens, revealing those razer-sharp teeth. Unable to stand it anymore, I look away and prepare for the pain.

And wait...

.

....And wait?

"Hey, are you okay?!"

A melodic voice called out, startling me to awareness again. Looking around, I quickly find the de- beast, laying on its side. Several large lances of ice are impaled within its side and head. Two are impaling leg joints on one side. And the last is, is, in the heart? Maybe? How precise!

"Hey! Are you in there?! I'm not crawling to get you out, you know!"

Blinking several times, I refocus on the voice. It's hard to properly make out the features of my saviour. But, to crawl out.. Uuuuu... Forcefully ignoring the trembling still hampering my new body, I use the ice spear in the beast-demon's head to get leverage, and crawl onto it while swallowing heavily. Actually, what the heck is it..?

That was a WARG?! A-a-a-and those stats?! Why are they so high?!

Studying the random popup, I crawl over the creature to get out of the brush. It takes a moment to finally get out of the debris from the fallen tree and get around into a situation where I can meet the voice. But it wasn't just that one person. There were actually three.

The first being a female with pointed ears, long golden hair, and oceanic eyes. She had some kind of staff with a crystal on top, wearing long fluttery robes that covered her top, with an inner portion that opened up in the front while the cloth clung tightly around her sides and back down to her hips, where they had anothre outer layer floating about. Aside from flats for shoes, her legs were bare, but the long cloth covered most portions, but that changed enticingly as she shifted positions. Strangely, despite her breasts being mostly covered by loose cloth, it didn't deter from the beauty she quite easily displayed. A beautiful mage-type? She had a soft smile and eyes that seemed to sparkles as I glanced at her.

Another behind her was another long-ear, a man with typical knight combination of sword and armor. Red hair, green eyes, well built and definitely strong, yet no hint of overabundant muscle, this man was definitely top-tier. His armor was actually stylish enough, probably specifically designed for him, with metal only covering the more vital portions of his body, along with other areas that could be used for defense like shoulders, shins, and forearms. It was thin, rather than bulky. His sword was an exquisite sheath that matched the armor perfectly. Almost makes me think of the hero from a story? Maybe a noble? Or is he really 'the hero'? Couldn't be...

Last was a cute little fairy, sitting on the elfen beauties' shoulder. Short sky-blue hair to her shoulders, and a strange flower-like short dress covered her torso. It was hard to tell from a distance, but she was definitely cute.

"Kyaaaa! So adorable!" In an instant, the fairy flew up and around me several times, randomly touching my tail, head, here, there, before finally settling on top of my head. I could only blink several times at the randomness, before settling on the golden beauty quickly approaching.

The elf woman smiled with a soft expression, kneeling in front of me. "Are you okay now?"

With the adrenaline leaving my system, I can feel the fatigue creeping in. Waking up after passing out from my discovery. Checking my blessings, before quickly ignoring their very existence in hopes they disappear. Walking all day, trying to find some form of civilization, running for my life, nearly geting squashed by a tree, facing t-the d-d-d-demon...

"SHhhhh, you're safe now." Warm arms pull me into a gentle embrace. "You can cry if you need."

So soft~ So gentle~ And she smells so~ good~ Ah~ No reason to cry like this... Actually, wouldn't I have been okay anyways? Yea, who cares if it could have killed me! I would have been fine! And I can use magic! If I used that water blast, I could have killed it myself!

The man simply cocked his head and walked slowly to stand behind her.

*GRURurrurrururuu*

The man quickly takes a battle stance, checking his surroundings, while the woman holding me strengthens her embrace. It took a second to realize the loss of weight from my head, letting me know the tiny creature was likely also checking the surroundings.

"I don't see anything." The redhead speaks up.

"Nothing dangerous is close..." Fair-chan spoke up.

The blond stays quiet, but shakes her head when they look towards us.

I could only flush and press myself into her chest. Despite my situation, other priorities have popped up. And this is much more important... So I try speaking, though I realize that it came out really muffled with my position. This brings attention to me again. I don't think they heard it.

"What was that?" The beauty asks gently.

Nope... Why does this have to be so embarassing?! Muu~

"If you want to say something, speak up." *SWACK*

The man speaks up again, only to get cuffed by the fairy. "Be nice! She just got attacked!"

Uwa~ Strong Fairy!

"Erm, can you please tell us again?"

I pull back and look at the gentle beauty. Were her first words a lie? her demeanor is so different now! I don't think she knew I was a child when she said they wouldn't come in after me... But would they really not? No, it doesn't matter, they saved me. Either way, closing my eyes as heat floods my cheeks, I can only endure the embarrassment.

"Can I please have something to eat?"
