“Boring.” A young man murmurs.
He picked up a fist-sized rock and it floated on his palm. Then he threw it to the sky

“Even after reincarnated, I can’t go to any settlement because of this stupid curse.” He said while scratching his grey messy hair.
This peculiar looking young man who currently contract a powerful disease called boredom is Sylver Arachnid Ruse. A 17 years-old currently living in a house located at Himalayas.
Don’t be mistaken. He is not thrown away or abandoned. He simply can’t go to any human settlement. It’s not because of his looks or any other mundane reason.
But because of his curse.
To explain it would take an eternity. Short story he is a refugee soul from another world who is reborn to earth. But because of his unique soul he can’t become a human. Then after many meeting and ritual with various gods and blahblahblah. It was decided that he will be reborn as a new race, named Athanatos.
You may be asking why does he must spend his day isolated. Because an Athanatos have it merits and flaw. One of the flaw is any regular human near him will be scared to death, which is not healthy. So one of the gods said “How about we provide anything you want as long you stay away from human settlement and help us a bit?” and Sylver agreed.
The jobs is simply to act as a guardian of Himalayas region so is not a hard job for him. But he quickly get bored even after reading 10.234 books and watched 2.908 movies while also learning martial arts. The only thing preventing from destroying earth is..
“Sylverrrr! It came! It came!” A girl with pink long hair shouted cheerily.
“Really?! Don’t open it! Wait for me!” Sylver replied.
The pink haired beauty is Anna Rosemary Ruse. Sylver housemate and childhood friend. Although they have same family name they aren’t blood related. Why he can lived with Sylver is because she has the same circumstance.
Sylver quickly ran into their house. When he arrived at the living room he saw two capsule about the size of a single bed. The capsules looks like a black egg with buttons and screen. On the top of the capsule is a ‘Vision.Inc’ label.
“”Yes! Finally! Our days of boredom is oveeeer!”” They cheered.
“By the way. There’s a letter for you that came with the capsules.” Anna hands out a white envelope with a golden cloud mark on it.
‘Don’t tell me It’s from her,’ Sylver open the envelope and read the letter inside “Yep. It’s another job.”
“Will it take time?”
“Don’t worry. The job involve playing ‘Progress’. That damned angel really like to threw her work at me.”
Sylver sigh while thinking about work he must do to pay for the capsules. He remembers one of his ‘jobs’ is to eliminate a whole army of terrorist while blindfolded and cuffed. Compared to that this one is a piece of cake.
The duo start to connect the capsules and setting up the rest. While chatted about what class will they take and what race they want to play as.
“Connect the capsule and….. complete.” Sylver said.
“Let’s have lunch first and then it’s online for the rest of the day!”
After the lunch they went to the white room but only stood on the entrance.
Although normal people only saw ‘Progress’ as a game. This duo sees it as a way to escape their world. World with only boredom and loneliness.
“This is it.”

They have been living in isolation for six years. The only contact they have with outside world is Sylver employer angel, which only came once or twice in a year.
Silence filled the pure white room. The duo hold hands while pressing their ‘Ark’s open button. The black egg machinery split open revealing a chair with a helmet strapped on it. From the capsule futuristic machinery sound could be heard.
The duo sat in their own capsules and wore the helmet. They looked at each other before shouted.
“Connect!”
Their sense started to dull as brain signals blocked one by one. Then the surrounding became dark.
‘Awesome’ Sylver Amazed.
Suddenly a bright blue box appeared in front of him.
Do you want to run ‘Progress’?YESNO
“Yes”
Do you want to use ‘Soul Reader’?YESNO
“Once again yes I want to.”
After he said it the space start to become brighter. But suddenly the space distort and produce a broken sound.
“What happ..”
His sounds cut by a static and suddenly the surrounding broke like a mirror. Sylver stunned before starting to lose consciousness.
The last thing he saw was a familiar girl body right beside him.

Derry Jackal is one of the employees of Vision.Inc. currently he delivering an urgent report to Head of research section.
“Chief, chief!”
“What is it Jack?”
“We receive a urgent report from Soul Reader Section , Three anomalies were detected!”
“Explain.” The head put up a serious face.
“The three users ‘souls’ have a significant difference from other subjects. The anomaly caused by it made a change in the game!”
“Could it be hacking?”
“Chances are slim. The researcher said it may related to wrong use of ‘Ark’ capsule.”
“What about the change?”
“No game-breaking changes are reported, but the changes should be impossible unless ‘Iris’ done it herself. What should we do?”
“For now put those three into our main focus and I want reports every week!”
“Yes Chief!”
Jack left the head researcher office. The head read the reports and murmurs.
“Has they come? The ‘Innocent’ souls?”
