Prologue- A world of darkness. A king to rule it

A throne made of stone, painted in dry blood. Skulls to rest his hands on, locked forever into a scream of despair or madness. There he sat, looking down through the pervasive gloom as his soldiers brought in the woman. She screams as they dragged her before him, the sound caused his head to throb. He gestured once and the woman's throat was grabbed by the soldier on the right and it growled "Shut your mouth and bow before his majesty." She was thrust into a bow and her knees made a loud crack as they hit the hall's floor, she had to stifle another another scream in her throat it started. The woman sobbed quietly to herself as He leaned forward to speak "Woman. How did you find my domain? The world of light and darkness are kept separate by power's far beyond mine, much less yours." He paused with eyes that looked down on her with disdain, he scanned her face and saw her confused and frightened face, offering no answers. He roared and the power struck her, she had no chance to defend herself as her back smashed into the wall. Her broken body fell down and it was obvious she had died instantly. The soldier who had been beside her was pushed back a few steps, the only visible change in the now silent hall. "Find the other one!!!!!!" The king commanded, sending the soldiers rushing to find the man who had escaped deep into the tunnels. The king leaned back and massaged his throbbing head, his claws hitting his hair, he ran a hand through it to fix it again avoiding the horns that curved forward on his head as he closed his eyes and waited for good news

----------------------------------------

A man rushed through the caves the roars and screeches of beasts sounded out behind him. Shadows somehow danced on the walls in the darkness around him tauntingly! A madness he couldn't understand nor had the time to as he raced forward trying to keep what he was carrying safe. He looked back, a fatal mistake as he stumbled on a stray rock, he fell forward and forced himself turn his body, slamming his shoulder and knees onto the unforgiving cave floor. The man checked to make sure what he was carrying was still okay, relief flooded through him before being quickly extinguished as he recalled his situation. The man looked around in a panic when he saw a crack that could fit the package he held. He crawled in as close as he could and stunned as he saw an endless forest on the other side. It was like a tale of a fairy realm, tall trees lit by a strange blue glow, a lake covered in floating gold orbs. He was astonished that such a sight could be seen underground but quickly ignored that. He placed the package ,a child, he had been carrying deep as he could right at the edge of grass leading to the underground forest. He concentrated and all of his mana and the mana his wife had sacrificed forever to give him, flowed forward into the summoning symbol. A solid wolf materialized out of it, sighing in relief but saddened by the knowledge that this would be the last time he saw the child. The man leaned forward and his hands touched the child's forehead, a light blazed forth briefly before fading. The man was trembling, he could barely move as he watched the wolf carry the child away, but he knew he had to lead the monsters away so he burned his life force to become chi. Strengthening his body enough he ran, and ran, and ran till from the shadows something leaped onto his leg and more and more shadows crawled over him, biting as he screamed.

The beasts behind slowed as one of the lead soldiers got caught in a web, the left him dangling there not wanting to aggravate IT. When they heard the screams from ahead they knew it was too late. The soldiers knew that punishment awaited back at Post Lux tenebris, but only death awaited ahead in the domain of vyle.

———————

The wolf looked at the small child, the rich mana in the air would sustain it for quite a while it fufilled it's purpose to raise the child,  it would do its duty to the best of its ability. It claimed a cave on the outskirts and for 3 days and nights fought the savage creatures that the dark forest held on it's outermost ring. The wolf fed the bodies of the challengers from before to the child. It cocked it"s head and spoke "child of man, I will fulfill my duty. Till then I am your teacher and as your teacher i will be named fenrir. Now tho you do not understand. It is time to learn. And the wolf leaned in and words sounded from the cave the words soon lost into the infinite darkness around them as the blue light faded to show another night had begun.
