Chapter 7

The air crackled with anticipation as Eren, Lucy, and L huddled around the wall, deciphering the intricate map revealed by L's keen observation. The lines and symbols, illuminated by an otherworldly glow, seemed to writhe and pulse, their meaning slowly unraveling before them.

"This is definitely a map," L declared, tracing a long, curving line with his finger. "It depicts the layout of this arena, with different sections marked by distinct symbols."

Lucy knelt beside him, her golden eyes scanning the intricate details. "See these triangles here? They seem clustered around a central point, a larger symbol unlike any other."

Eren leaned in, his brow furrowed. "The central symbol… it almost resembles a stylized eye."

L nodded, a hint of excitement flickering in his dark eyes. "Indeed. Perhaps this central point represents the core of the arena, the control center for Deus and his… games."

"And the triangles?" Eren questioned. "Do they mark exits, challenges, or…?"

"Uncertain," L admitted, his voice laced with a rare note of frustration. "The language of these symbols is complex, a blend of alchemy and something… ancient."

Suddenly, Lucy gasped, pointing at a section of the map near the edge. "Wait a minute! This symbol… it looks familiar."

"Familiar?" Eren and L echoed in unison.

Lucy's brow furrowed in concentration. "It resembles a celestial symbol, one that signifies… transition, a passage between realms."

If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

A spark of hope ignited in Eren's chest. A passage between realms? Could that be their way out of this twisted arena, back to their own world?

"But it's located right here," Lucy continued, tracing a path through the map. "On the opposite side of the arena, near the… creature pit."

Eren's heart sank. Reaching the passage likely meant navigating past the monstrous creature trapped below, a prospect that filled him with dread.

L, however, seemed unfazed. "Then it seems we have our destination," he stated coolly. "Our objective is clear – reach the passage marked by the celestial symbol."

"But how?" Lucy interjected, her voice laced with worry. "We don't know what dangers lie between us and that passage, not to mention that giant monster blocking the way."

Eren clenched his fists. "We'll figure it out. We've faced worse before. Right now, getting out of here is the only thing that matters."

L, a hint of admiration in his eyes, nodded. "Agreed. We utilize these markings to our advantage. Lucy, based on your celestial knowledge, can you decipher any symbols that might activate helpful mechanisms, platforms, or… distractions for the beast?"

Lucy bit her lip, her mind racing. "Maybe. There might be some glyphs related to illusions or temporary stasis. It's worth a shot."

Eren, ever the strategist, added, "And I'll scout ahead. If we can find a safe path past the creature pit, all the better."

A tense silence descended upon them as they all contemplated the daunting task at hand. They were battered, bruised, and their powers were limited, but they had a map, a glimmer of hope, and most importantly, each other.

With a newfound resolve, they rose to their feet, their gazes fixed on the map etched on the wall. Escape beckoned, but the path ahead was fraught with peril. They would have to navigate not only the physical dangers of the arena but also the malevolent machinations of Deus, the self-proclaimed God-King. The fight for survival had taken a new turn, and Eren, Lucy, and L, the unlikely trio, were determined to see it through.
