Peter's POV
“Sad little Peter really thinks he will be able to stop me. Well, think again. I'm going to make sure the whole world burns,” a voice said.
“What?” I asked, “What are you talking about?”
“My, Peter, look around,” the voice said again.
Around him I could see buildings beginning to fall rubble from past architecture on the ground, and just like the voice said, everything was in flames. I didn't know what to do or say. Who was this man? Why did he want to set the world on fire, and why was I trying to stop him?
I wake up with a start as I hear my alarm go off playing my favourite song, Annihilate by Lil Wayne. Don't make fun of me; it's a good song.
I get up and go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and take a shower. I put on some trousers, a t-shirt, and a short-sleeve flannel shirt on top of it.
I make myself some cereal, and I sit down on my couch to turn on the TV so I can watch the show I'd started rewatching a couple of days ago.
A few minutes later, I hear a car horn beep in front of my house. I groaned because I was in the middle of my most favourite part. I pause the episode and put my bowl in the sink, which I will wash later, mind you, and go outside to see my friends Michelle, Gwen, and Harry waiting for me.
“Took you long enough.” Michelle muttered.
I roll my eyes, “Sorry, I was busy.”
“Yeah? Busy with what? You're literally rewatching the show you finished a month ago.” Gwen scoffed.
And yeah, she was right, but it's a good show. I'm sure everyone has a show they like to rewatch because it's just that good.
“Yeah, so what?” I ask.
They just laugh, and I get into Harry's car, and he speeds to college. This is why I don't like driving with him; I swear I'm going to get sick.

As we get to college, I check the time. I was a minute late to class, and I don't know how that's possible because Harry was definitely driving over the speed limit.
“Thanks a lot; now I'm late.” I scowled.
"Yeah, by a minute, chill your ass out.” Harry huffed.
I don't know how he wants me to chill out when I'm literally late to class.
“You might not care, but I do. If you forget, I'm a straight A student, and you lose points for attendance issues.” I argued.
"Peter, it's okay. We have the same class, so we'll go together.” Michelle said, trying her best to comfort me.
I'm glad Michelle is my friend, as even though she can be a bit too honest, which makes it just plain rude at times, she's caring and loving like a sister, though I don't think it's fair as I've been friends with her the longest.
"Ok, let's go.” I tell her, and we make our way to our first class.
——time skip——
When the teacher dismissed us, giving us a bunch of homework, me and Gwen made our way out of the school to wait for Harry and Michelle, who would be finishing their lesson in a few minutes.
After a while, I saw Harry and Michelle come out.
“You're finally here.” I grin.
“Our last class was so boring, even Michelle fell asleep.” Harry snickered.
Which may not be that big of a deal to anyone else, but we knew how big it was. Michelle Jones, a straight A student falling asleep in class, she literally never fell asleep in class, no matter how boring it was. As she would say, “All information given by our professors is useful, and we shouldn't miss a word.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever; it was just so boring that I couldn't help but close my eyes for a little.” Michelle muttered.
“More like a whole hour.” Harry chuckled, making Michelle hit him on the shoulder, rolling her eyes.
“Whatever.” Michelle scoffed.
"Peter, do you want me to take you to work?” Harry asked me.
"No, it's ok. I can walk; it's not that far from here.” I told him.
We said our goodbyes, and I started to walk to work.
I wish I had called in sick…
