Chapter 2 Enchantment

   "Bang!" The sound of steel clashing could be heard in the nearby area and if one were to look you could see two boys sparing one with a katana and another with a double ended Glaive, obviously it was the two boys Sanon and Jack.

"Damn you've gotten better" Sanon said sarcastically 

"Whatever everyone knows your best at close quarters combat but just wait till later today when we get our enchantments" Jack replied

"Yeah okay so are you going to put the enchantment on your Glaive or your shorty shotgun?" 

"Probably my Glaive" 

"Sweet me and Desmond are putting it on our melee too"

"That's great and all but I think we're late for class again"

"Shit!" The two boys frantically ran to there class thinking about what enchantment they'll get and soon they made it too there demonology class where you could see a fifty somewhat year old man reeking of alcohol, this was there demonology instructor named randy 

"Hello you fuckers glad you two didn't leave like my wife now get in your seats " randy said

The boys quickly took there seats right next to Desmond 

"Yo bro so what happened?" Sanon asked

"Well you know how his wife cheated on him well today she left him too and he's been drinking the entire time"

"How have they not fired him yet" 

  The class went on like that for a while until the instructor Derrick came and said to randy :" hey randy maybe you should take a little break I need to give them there enchantments so just rest for a while"

"Alright but leave me like my slut of wife, fuck me!"

"Okay man whatever you say"

   Derrick turned his head and looked in our direction and said: "everyone at this moment I shall give an enchantment but before that I'll give you a quick summary about them, there are two ways to receive one the first is a ritual which are used for demon contracting and other huge enchantments and the other is a talisman which are much easier and safer to acquire. The one I'm about to give you is a low tier talisman which contains either an elemental enchantment: fire,water,earth,wind and lightning or a strength enchantment which boosts the overall power of your weapon but can only be used for a melee weapon, the choice is yours".

  All the students lined up to pick there talismans, the first to grab one was a boy named timothy who picked a green tag and placed it on his mp11 sub machine gun which quickly dissipated and a slight green glow appeared on the gun. The entire class was stunned at what happened, you could hear the students talking about it.

"Holy crap that was cool"

"Can't wait for mine"

"I'm definitely picking an elemental talisman"

  After two more people picked it was Desmond's turn to choose and he picked a lightning talisman. Desmond hurriedly put the talisman on his dual scimitars then out cam green sparks of lightning which confused everyone because lightning tends to be yellow.

"Instructor why is my lightning green?"

"That I don't even know you might have to go to a city and ask some military officials or occult researchers who might know"

"Thank you for your guidance" Desmond stepped out of line and next came Jack who decided on a water talisman, but when he put it on the glow on his Glaive was much more noticeable than the other students who picked.

"Wow your demon side must have something to do with water because with your Glaive looking like that they'd think you used at least a mid tier water talisman"

"Water huh" Jack mumbled with curiosity gleaming in his eye, you see almost all the kids in the class are orphans whose parents died during the war with the demon so most never even met there parents and since Jack was a halfling it made even more curious about his origins than most.  

  The next up was the protagonist of this story Sanon, he looked at all the talismans carefully and finally decided on a strength talisman which was coloured jet black. When the boy put it on his katana the talisman dissipated but nothing of note happened 

"WTF nothing happened"

"Strength talismans don't change any aesthetics you will only notice the difference in battle, now get out of line!"

"Yes sir"

  Sanon got out of line and then suddenly a familiar voice rang out toward him, it was the top of the class in gunnery Timothy 

"So you picked your enchantment why don't we go out so I can kick your ass"

"Alright your bullets got nothing on my katana" Sanon replied with veins popping on his forehead 

"Yo don't let him provoke you " Desmond said 

"Don't worry I got this" 

  The two boys went outside and quickly took out there weapons. Timothy sprayed out a whole mag then quickly reloaded, Sanon reacted to it by deflecting all the nearly all the bullets but one of them nicked his left shoulder. Sanon rushed at Timothy and when he got close enough he did a vertical slash to which Timothy responded by unsheathing a tomahawk from his back.

 Unfortunately for Timothy, Sanon chose a strength talisman so he easily cut in half Timothy's tomahawk. Timothy quickly jumped back and shot a few rounds hoping to keep Sanon at bay. Sanon however was too fast and he easily dodged the bullets but then Timothy's sub machine gun started glowing green again and he shot 6 bullets that went insanely fast. Sanon was able to block 2 of them but four of the bullets got him straight in the stomach.

  Sanon started coughing blood but the out of nowhere his body started being covered by red marks and his eyes looked cold, it looked like he was the devil himself, Sanon then jumped straight at Timothy stabbing his katana straight into his stomach

"What are you two doing, god damn someone bring a healing spell tag!" Derrick yelled

Desmond and Jack ran straight to Sanon and asked

"What happened it looked you were done after you got shot?"

"I have no idea it felt like my strength suddenly increased when I was down, I don't get  it either"
