POV Owen Wyrick
Frightened by the amount of goblins charging towards me, I slashed out wildly with my knife, attempting to kill the goblin that had just attacked me. Getting off with nothing but a light injury, it retreated into the direction of it's brethren.
Not knowing what to do next, I turned to my left and broke through the door in an attempt to find some sort of cover against the assault of goblins.
Rushing into the broken into room, I arrived in what seemed to be a living area. I dove behind a nearby couch just as the goblins arrived at the doorway. Hearing the sound of marching, I grew happy as I thought the army had arrived but then dread creeped into my mind when I remembered the dozens of zombies I had attracted to my location.
Panicking even more as I was screwed even if I managed to somehow kill all the goblins, I started to give up hope. When the goblins finally arrived next to my location and I was sure I was going to be found and killed, a zombie that stealthily approached the rooms doorway let out a low growl. Immediately alerted to it's presence, the goblins halted their search and rushed over to kill the new threat.
Taking advantage of the goblins being distracted by the zombie, I crept over to a near by window and opened it. Peering out of the window, I was horrified by what I saw. Even though I couldn't see much as I was only on the second floor, I counted there being at least 150 zombies duking it out with a slightly smaller group of goblins.
Still pumped up from the adrenaline from almost being killed by a group of goblins, I hopped out through the window onto the fire escape. Rushing up to the top of the building, I looked for any less crowded buildings that I could reach and escape safily from.
Spotting one quickly, I sighed because it was my apartment complex, the one I had just left, trying to act cool. Getting over my embarrassment, I ran across the rooftops over to it and entered the nearest room.
Scanning the enviroment quickly, I finally calm down a bit as there is no enemies in the room. Still not completely satisfied with the situation I was in, I went over to the door and peered out through its spyglass thingy. Seeing no monsters, I opened the door and quickly took a look left and right.
Unfortunately for me though, a goblin was roaming the hallway near the room I was in and rushed towards my location. Traumatized by my previous experience with goblins, I, against what I felt I should do, forced myself to prepare to battle it.

Knife held in a normal manner, I get into a fencing stance to minimalize my surface area facing it and wait for it took get closer to me. Once within range, it swung it's club with no technique like the previous goblin and was thus, easily dodged by stepping to the side of it. Seeing my opportunity to strike, I stabbed out with my blade and easily killed it with a stab to the neck.

Attracted by my short battle with the goblin, another one rushed towards me, battle ready. Not having enough time to recover, I stumbled backwards to dodge the goblins strike. Forgetting to keep a grip on my knife, it remained behind in the dead goblins neck.
Stuck without a weapon, I did the only thing I could think of, grab the dead goblins club before the other goblin could recover. Managing to get the club off the ground before the other goblin could recover in order to attack, I prepared to defend against it's next attack.
Swinging for my torso, the goblin attempted to wind me with it's next attack. But unluckily for it, I was prepared for it's attack and blocked it with my own club. Before it could recover from it's failed attack, I swung out with my own club to do some damage to it. Scrambling to put up a defense, the goblin only managed to slightly get it's club in the way of my attack.
Now off balance, the goblin couldn't defend against my next attack which connected with it's head and split it open with a crack.

Level Up
Hearing the two notifications one after another, I felted amazing from the increase in stats and felt my body becoming stronger while my mind became faster. Not having much time to celebrate, I ripped my knife from one of the dead goblins, put it and the club in my inventory and rushed into another apartment room before any other monsters could be attracted to my location. Like my escape from the previous building, I once again opened a window and got out on the fire escape. Unlike my previous escape, however, this time I rushed to the bottom of the fire escape instead of up to the roof.
Landing in the alleyway beneath the fire escape, I once again attracted some monsters to my location. Luckily it was only a few a zombies instead of the harder to deal with, goblins. Summoning my club from my inventory, I rushed to the nearest zombie preemptively and struck it's head with my club.

Noting down in my head to turn off the experience notification, I ran to the next zombie and once again, aimed for the head for an insta-kill.

Once again easily finishing off my opponent, I noticed the reduced experience gainage from the zombie and moved on to the last one.
The zombie, still lumbering towards me with it's slow, steady gait was unsurprisingly, killed easily with one blow.

Annoyed once again by the experience pop-up, I rush over to another nearby building to rest for a bit. Arriving inside the building, I didn't calm down until I reached the roof and made sure there weren't any monsters. Finally receiving a break from the otherwise exhausting day, I soon slipped into a deep sleep.
