In the cockpit, the pilot could be seen stacking up envelops filled with information and data as well as pressing numerous buttons that readied the helicopter for liftoff. Yuri sat on the right seat of the cockpit and told the man piloting the vessel

Yuri- The coordinates are; five. zero zero. sixty nine. four twenty.

Pilot- Certainly, Founder Yuri.

The helicopter started slowly but surely gaining altitude until it reached the sky.

It was a late afternoon, the moon was about to settle. The city was crowded and the roads were packed with pedestrians taking a stroll. The lights, which numerous stores and buildings gave off, created a beautiful aura and made Yonuro feel at ease while treading across the pavement.

Yonuro and Ramael were heading toward that old apartment. As they were getting closer and closer with Samei's instructions, less and less individuals were noticed. The roads became more narrow and a lot older. The scenery became darker and more unsafe...

As she ventured all the more closer to her destination, a sentiment of anxiety, tremor and uncertaincy gripped Yonuro. She did retain her coolness though and steadily kept marching forward.

She finally arrived in the neighbourhood, but when she did, she stopped moving. She sensed something sinister... Her heart pounced like crazy... And then, a figure could be seen walking slowly out of a really narrow street. Her face could not be seen clearly as she wore a hoody with cat ears ...

Yonuro- Ehm... Ramael?

Ramael- ......

Her grey eyes were staring at Yonuro intently. And then, she raised her right hand and shouted

???- Answer my call, Zanir!

Her mysterious ring glowed with Dark Essence and a pair of deadly purply black claws appeared on her hands... Dumbfounded, Yonuro could not form a meeting sentence. Even though that girl was not there to meet her. She had killing intents...

Yonuro and Ramael were petrified by fear. Yonuro then, managed to form a question.

Yonuro- Wh- who are you...? Wha- what do you want from me...?

Aniik- That thing that talked to you just now, your Angelic Veil.

Ramael- You are the Girl from back then. Why do you want me? We can talk about this!

Aniik- My plan failed on that fateful day, Ramael... But in the end, I will fullfil my own and everyone's dreams. I will create a New World with the Godly power I will obtain once I get Ramael's Angelic Veil.

Yonuro- What's your fucking deal? Why Ramael out of all?

Aniik- She is the opposed Angel. The one compatible with my Demonic Lord. Enough talking. Hand over the Angelic Veil, or else there'll be bloodshed...

Aniik burst out laughing over what Yonuro just said.

Aniik- These corrupted worlds you mean? If that's what you want...

Yonuro tried to wear Ramael as a cloak but to no avail. Aniik dashed quickly and lowered the distance between them.

She attacked with her Demonic claws with all her might, the one slash after the other. Yonuro was in a tough spot. Aniik's speed was not normal. Her attacks were about to cut her throat off, but with Yonuro's impressive agility, she perfectly dodged every single one of them.

After she had gained some distance, she attached Ramael onto her outfit.

Yonuro- Ramael !

The scenery was like two female lions that would fight over territory management.

Aniik paid attention to Yonuro's movement to see how she would react. Yonuro, on the other hand, made a gesture challenging Aniik to come towards her.

Aniik put all of her energy on her quick deadly attacks, at the cost of her defence.

Aniik- Slash Slash* You aren't escaping this time RAMAEL!

Yonuro then, found an opening to Aniik's thrust attacks and prepared a counterattack. She got behind her and punched her really hard. The moment she was hit, Aniik became really mad. Up until that point, It felt like she wasn't using her demonic powers at all. But now, she decided to spice things up a bit...

Yonuro- That's it Ramael , We'll wait for openings like that while I keep some distance away from her and then we------

As she said that yonuro stopped talking.

The reason was simple. Aniik had surprisingly started laughing in the middle of the fight.

When the laughter stopped she said "ZANIR! HUNT YOUR PREY!"

She clentched her right hand into a fist, before releasing it, and then the 5 demonic nails of her claws transformed into deadly throwing knives that she aimed with all her might at Yonuro.

Yonuro did not expect that and was impaled by two of the projectiles...

She pressed her right hand against the wound. When she let it free, she noticed the sheer amount of blood that her hand had concentrated.

Yonuro- Ugh... Is... this...?

She was bleeding heavily by the precise hit. A normal human being would have given up on life by that point. But Yonuro's determination and strength were beyond that of a normal person.

Yonuro- Ramael... ugh..!

Ramael detached quickly from Yonuro and floated in the air.

Aniik- What are you..?

Ramael stretched herself while in the air, as she then concentrated her thought. She perfomed an incantation that changed her distinguishable colour into a golden one.

Afterwards, she uttered the words "Angelic Ray!" and the incantation was finished.

A blinding pillar of Holy Energy appeared that chased after Aniik. Aniik couldn't even see what hit her. It was too bright...

But she was hit so hard, she rolled a couple of times before finally stopping on the ground.

Yonuro- .

Aniik gritted her teeth, cleaned her bleeding mouth and launched herself at Yunuro.

She was using her full potential by then. Her speed had exceeded whatever was seen before. Yonuro was unable to avoid her continuous slashes with Zanir. She was hit by one attack, but she blocked it with her bare hands and it was not enough to kill her...

Aniik seemed unbeatable for Yonuro. The only way to beat her was to use her surroundings to her advantage. She fled to a building nearby with the intention of coming up with a strategy.

But Aniik was far more clever with fishy strategies and unfair combat than that...

Aniik- Hah.. As you wish then...

Yonuro quickly walked up the stairs and arrived on the first floor. Aniik was not in her field of view, which she thought was a good thing. But it wasn't that Aniik had lost track of Yonuro.

Yonuro had lost track of Aniik...

Yonuro- (panting) Where is she? What should we do now?

Ramael- We must think of something and surprise her...

Yonuro- like a secret assault or-----

But when she said that---- Bam*

From the shadows, Aniik got behind Yonuro's back and kicked her with all her might towards the window. The window broke into countless pieces, some of which impaled Yonuro's face and body. She lost consciousness, as she was falling. Her severe injuries, as well as smacking on the ground like that... It was the end for Yonuro...

------- But not for Ramael!

Ramael detached from Yonuro and formed herself like a net to catch her before reaching the ground. She had successfully saved Yonuro's imminent death.

Aniik- That toy of yours has quite the imagination. Let's see how she'll protect you from something that cannot be seen...

Then, Aniik's Demonic Ring was filled with overflowing with Dark Essence and Aniik tapped it with her claws.

Clink* The mettalic sound of the ring resounded in the battleground. And Aniik had become invisible. It was as she said. Ramael couldn't do anything...

From the shadows, Aniik's slashes constantly targetted Yonuro. With the first slash, 3 streaks of blood appeared on Yonuro's left hand from the attack.

She tapped the ring again and became invisible once more. (Clink*) With the second slash, Yonuro's leg became numb from pain. She could not move anymore.

And again and again and again. Aniik performed this uncounterable strategy repeatedly. Yonuro and Ramael were out of ideas. They could just wait for Yonuro to run out of strength and die... Aniik was about to deliver the final blow and kill her with Zanir's Demonic Claws.

But, at that moment, Yonuro's wounds would not hurt. She was filled with Holy energy...

Yonuro could feel everything... Even, the invisible Aniik!

Yonuro- AHHHHH!

She dodged the invisible, incoming attack and she performed a 3 hit combo counterattack. She hit Aniik's Jaw upwards, which baffled her and made her unable to see. She then punched her in the diaphragm, an attack that left her paralysed. And lastly a backflip kick that hit Aniik in the face.

Aniik was knocked back to a wall couple meters away. She hit the wall and dropped down unconscious for a moment.

Then, another figure entered the battleground and pointed a gun at Aniik, who was trying to muster the strength to get up. She was a girl in her mid twenties with short wavy white hair, whose glaring green eyes were focused on Aniik.

???- Hands behind your back! Now!

Aniik thought "And who the hell are you?---- Ah yeah... I get it."

Ignoring the crucial order, Aniik slowly got up on her feet and pointed her index finger at the unexpected "guest".

Aniik- Ugh.. Do you really think a gun can kill me that easily, Yuri Keller...?

Yuri- Huh?! (...)

"How does she know my name?" she thought.

Aniik- Interesting. Well, I won't be able to beat the both of you at once. Having backup is a solid possibility, too. I am outnumbered... ZANIR! Clink*

Yuri then shouted "FREEZE!". Disregarding her threats, Aniik tapped the Demonic Ring with her nail and became invisible. She had lost the battle and would retreat for the time being.

Yuri opened fire a few times, but the bullets found no target...

She was then shaking and her palms sweating. After a couple of seconds, she sluggisly put her gun down and then inside her pocket. Even though she didn't say a word, on the inside she was endlessly screaming. The image of failure and regret flashed before her eyes.

That moment though, she remembered something important. Yonuro was present and obviously hurt, so she approached her to examine her wounds.

Yuri- Yonuro?! What are you doing here? Is that blood?! Oh no, let me help you...

Yonuro- I'm fine... Yuri... Why are you here, though? What's going on?

Yuri- It doesn't matter right now. We need to get back home...

Tokiyama household.

Yuri- Rest here. I'll get the medical kit.

Yonuro was injured heavily but her angelic powers helped her recuperate faster and let go of the pain. As Yuri was taking care of her, Yonuro suddenly fell asleep.

Early in the next morning, Yonuro was able to move and speak clearly again. She opened her eyes and saw Yuri silently observing the outside world through the window.

Yuri's expression was sad and bitter, as if she had failed an important mission. Her posture changed when she noticed Yonuro being awake. She raised her eyebrows and said

Yuri- 'morning Yonuro. So, how are you----

Then, Yonuro quickly got up, stretched a bit and yawned. Clearly, Yuri freaked out.

Yuri- YONURO? WHA---! You must lay in bed! In no circumstances should you walk around with the wounds that you have!

Yonuro- Hm? Good morning to you, too! I'm really fine, don't worry.

Yuri covered her chin with her right hand.

Yuri- That's really odd. How did your wounds heal up in just six hours?

Yonuro- Well... I'll tell you. But, I need to know what you were doing there yesterday first. Just why did you go there following that girl? Didn't you pay a visit to Japan to attend a bussiness trip?

Yuri closed her eyes and told her step sister many things about her past and her goals.

Yuri- WHAT?! She touched it.

Ramael- (whispering) Hi.. I am Ramael.

Yuri had frozen in place from the shock. She thought the following.

"Wow... Is this... another supernatural material or being? There's so much more to it than we could ever imagine..."

"Other worlds... It makes sense now... Its origin must have been otherworldy, indeed... That's remarkable..."

Yuri- Did your wounds heal faster bacause of it, Yonuro?

Yonuro nodded to her question and then Yuri remained silent once more. Her previously bitter expression was replaced by absolute excitement.

She thought; "THIS IS IT! IT'S ABOUT TIME MY DREAM MATERIALIZED! Now, now. I need to calm down. Overreacting would destroy everything."

Yuri- Yonuro. Listen to me. This is amazing. Imagine the lives we can save with this power... Medicine and science will reach new heights and we'll be the leaders of this spectacular new discovery. WE CAN----

Yonuro- It's no use Yuri... Whatever cure or breakthrough we uncover, it will be all for nothing. This world will be destroyed and Aniik is giving a helping hand to that.

Yuri- Huh?!

Yonuro- Yeah... That's the truth. Please, do not investigate any further about Ramael or Aniik.

If you'll excuse me, but I'll be on my way, then. I have some things to settle, so I'll be gone for some time now...

Yuri- Wait!

Yonuro turned her head and told her

Yonuro- I'm sorry to disappoint you, but whatever you are trying to achieve with this company... It's pointless. Farewell, Yuri...

That sentence hurt her really bad. She had only one objective in her life. Having all of her efforts go to waste, when she was that close to achieving her goal?
