Chapter 10: A Journey Through Hell.

Chapter 10: A Journey Through Hell.

Chapter 10

A loud scream could be heard in the vicinity... And specifically, in the Underworld.

Yonuro- AHHHHHHHHH!

It was Yonuro, the girl who managed spectacularly to get to the Underworld through the help of a Portal created by the Pentagon drawn on the floor of an Abandoned apartment. The moment she arrived there, Yonuro was really baffled and confused. She felt her head aching, her feet numb, and her hands unable to follow any orders from her brain. In such pain as she was, Yonuro could not understand where she was, or what she was doing. It was like awakening abruptly from a deep slumber.

But soon enough, her eyes began to make out the surroundings of the place she was currently in. The blurr finally disappeared, enabling her entire vision to come back to her. It was a place rather special and distinct. The ground was made of dark soil, while the air she was breathing felt heavy, dustful and polluted, hence making one puke if they were to inhale it for a long period of time.

Yonuro raised her head only to notice that there were enormous lava lakes and rivers, filled with a mix of lava and the substance of the Underworld, the Dark Essence.

Apart from that, various black mountains entered Yonuro's field of view. A mixture of lava and dark essence, which was one of the very few light sources that lighted up this World, was violently leaking out of them.

Furthermore, some plants that had purply black roots and bright red petals were surprisingly growing on each side of the main Lava river. They were in a good shape, animated by the darkness of the Underworld.

What stuck out to Yonuro the most were the cave systems that appeared on the mainland of the Underworld. They were probably used as temporary refuges. Some of them were even decorated, therefore, it wouldn't be unreasonable to say that they were Demon houses.

However, noone else was there except for Yonuro and Ramael.

Ramael- Ugh... my head hurts... I think we've arrived. Yonuro, are you okay?

With an X mark on both of her eyes, Yonuro said calmly

Yonuro- I think I'm dying...

Ramael- We.. need to— rest here... for a bit...

Yonuro and Ramael were in a small cave, an abandoned demon house, near the huge lava river. Their bodies had undergone serious damage and pressure during their travel through the portal. They decided to start off their journey after they had rested for a couple of hours.

A few hours later, they had regained their physical strength, and thus were about to begin their Journey. But there was a small inconvenience...

Yonuro- Alright (Yoshi). Let's go, Ramael. Wait.. What the f—?

The ground outside the cave was not the same as before. Yonuro's footsteps were not the only ones on the dark soil. Apparently, the locals were not asleep and had gone outside... Yonuro felt a chill run down her spine. How would they be able to continue towards their goal if they were to be hunted down by demons?

Ramael- We must lay low and avoid contact with anyone.

Yonuro- I'll be careful. Let's go.

And with that, they left off their temporary refuge, in order to find the Pendant of Immortality.

Ramael- Our best bet would be to follow this river and search for the main town of the Underworld, where the pendant is located.

Yonuro- How do you know about everything?

Ramael- A close friend of mine had informed me on the matter.

Yonuro- Ah, alright. Lucky us!

They walked along the blazing river of fire and darkness for a while. It seemed the distance was quite a long one...

At that moment, though—————

Yonuro- Oh Fuck! A DEMON! HIDE!

There was a Demon in the area that looked pretty much like a human. Generally, Demons have the physique and body of a human but males have a pointy tail as well. Their body skin is of a darker color, in comparison with Yonuro's pale white skin. Not only that, but they also wear long robes, mostly dyed black and red, quite distinct from human clothes one could say.

These unique traits made the individual seem like they derived from a myth of some sort. That being said the Demon was very much alive and about to notice Yonuro's existence...

Then, Yonuro quickly rolled once and hid herself and Ramael behind a rock she found nearby.

Yonuro- What are we going to do?! That was a close one!

Ramael- Hm... We need to use this secret tactic.

Ramael quickly reassured Yonuro by explaining her plan.

Ramael- We won't be able to do anything if a demon detects us.

So we'll have to avoid attracting unnecessary attention. Although it's gonna slowly drain my Holy energy, we'll have to resort to this!

Ramael completely covered Yonuro with her body and then shouted.

Ramael- Holy Cumouflage!

Ramael's whole body became absolutely transparent and as Yonuro was inside her, she became as well. In this way Yonuro was able to traverse the depths of the Underworld without having to worry about being seen.

Yonuro- Nice one Ramael. You saved us again!

A few hours had passed from the moment Yonuro and Ramael began their journey alongside the river. They did not know where exactly the main town was located. The only thing Ramael knew was that the river covers a good amount of the Underworld, therefore, they should be able to locate it if they kept going forward. But suddenly, something odd happened...

Dark particles of rain started forming in the misty clouds up in the sky. And then...

Yonuro- Oh look Ramael! It's raining, but in the Underworld? Should that be even possible?

Ramael- Hah. Who knows—

AHH!~ Ouch! Yonuro.... Ughhhhhhhh.....

Yonuro- Ramael, what happened? Are you okay? What is going on?!

Ramael- I'm—I need help...! It hurts! The rain... I think it's— It's killing me...

Yonuro- Say— WHAT? Hold on Ramael... Ehm... I'll find us cover...!

Yonuro could be seen running while rain was pouring down heavily on the transparent Ramael and Ramael's body was getting worse and worse.... Yonuro gave it her all to make it somewhere safe in time.

Yonuro- We're almost there Ramael! There's a cave. Hold on a little longer!

Ramael- Ugh...

Yonuro had made her way inside the cave and saved Ramael's life.

Yonuro- Ramael! Are you okay?

Ramael- I'm—

???- Who's there? Was that a voice just now?! Visitors? Visitors without an invitation. Unwelcomed visitors? Unwelcomed visitors are burglars. Burglars are criminals. Criminals are evil. I am against evil! Begone!

Yonuro- Hey, Hey! Hold on! We mean no harm! I'll prove it. Look! I don't have any weapons or anything dangerous!

???- But. But. BUT! How do I know you ain't aiming a crossbow right at my face? Criminals are traitors. Traitors are liars...!

Yonuro- Huh? I don't have anything. Can't you see that?

???- You can call me Shrem. Shrem is ... erm... blind. Shrem can't trust you.

Yonuro- Just Hear me out then, Shrem! My friend is dying! I need to save her! She's been exposed to this fucking rain for a full minute. She's in a bad condition.

Shrem- Shrem is crazy. But you are crazier. Why did you go outside without cover? Your friend is going to die. Shrem can verify that. Being exposed to the Deathly Rain causes your soul and physical body to suffer. All beings affected by that are bound to die. This phenomenon has brought about thousands of deaths throughout the ages. When the Demonic Council lost its 4th member and brilliant leader, the Great----

Yonuro- I do not have time to listen to Lore! What do I do....?

Shrem- The recuperative Holy powers of an Angel can only heal this effect. An incantation that opposes death. Since the Deathly Rain brings about death, the effect is reversed. All you can do is pray...

Yonuro- Thank you, Shrem...

Shrem- Erm? Shrem was being ironic.

Yonuro joined her hands together and focused her thought. She was apparently praying and reciting a powerful healing incantation...

Yonuro- Ra' Mén. May these blessed words heal this tortured soul.

At that moment, Light particles made out of Holy energy filled the room and were channelled into Ramael.

Shrem- What? What is this? Who Are YOU? AN ANGEL?! IMPOSSIBLE!

Yonuro finished her incantation.

After a while—around 5 minutes later—Ramael came back to her senses.

Ramael- Ugh.. Yonuro...? Where am I?

Shrem- Is she alive..? Shrem is impressed.

Ramael- A DEMON?! YONURO RUN! HE'S DANGEROUS!

Yonuro- No, Ramael. He's not aggresive. I explained what happened and we're okay!

Shrem- Yeah. Yonuro is a good pal! Shrem took her for a burglar at first, but after talking about some stuff, she's apparently a kind hearted person.

Ramael became silent for a while and was immersed in thought. The thought process ended in the next sentence.

"Am I crazy or is this one just too crazy a demon?"

Ramael- Oh.. Excuse my behaviour earlier. I am Ramael, an Angel or...ehm... I'm basically Ramael's Angelic Veil but with half of her soul connected to me. Nice to meet you..

Shrem- Hah?! Hm, yes yes, Shrem understands. It is quite unexpected... meeting an Angel like Ramael in person. Wait... Ahem*

Anyway, you came here through the Pentagon's ritual, I presume. What's your business here? Why the hell did you attempt that ritual? And how did you find the Dark Essence to make it succeed?

Yonuro- It's a long story. We performed it and got here with the aim of finding the Pendant of Immortality. It is our objective to aquire it.

Shrem covered his mouth with his right hand while thinking. He seemed troubled to understand what they needed that ancient necklace for. Nonetheless, he started talking in a peculiar high pitched tone again.

Shrem- Your reason for doing so is quite mysterious, but Shrem will tell you where you've gotta go...

Shrem explained in detail the complicated path to the Underworld's Capital, the main town they needed to reach. The City's name is apparently Wargram and the Pendant is kept safe in an old room near the Demonic Council's Decision Making Department, in Rein's Palace.

Yonuro- So much fucking information... How will we be able to remember it all?

Ramael- Yeah it's a lot to take in... Sould we call Samei for help? She would be able to

save the directions in a file on her laptop.

Yonuro pressed her golden bracelet's operation button, but to no avail. The words

No signal appeared as a Hologram in front of her. Ramael and Shrem understood what had happened and were left silent.

At that moment, though, a spectacular idea crossed Ramael's mind. She told them that writing down the information would be the best solution. However, no sheet of paper was at hand, therefore they could only use her own Veil-like body in order to keep the information intact.

A few minutes later, Shrem wrote with dark ink the directions on her body and all the preparations had been completed. They were about to head towards Wargram.

Yonuro- Thanks Shrem! We'll definitely find the Pendant of Immortality now!

If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement.

Shrem- The Pendant of Immortality... (He deeply sighed..) We'll never forget you, Yahin...

Yonuro- Hm? Who are you talking about?

Shrem- Ah... He was...

Shrem was immersed in thought. It was difficult for him, but he decided to tell them everything he knew in an all time classic side-character monologue.

Shrem- Yahin was.. the bearer of the Pendant of Immortality... He was the 4th Demonic Lord, prior to Aniik's birth, who would always seek out peace. He found his tragic end one day when he commited suicide by destroying his own soul....

In short, he had the unique power of Immortality. He was not only unable to die through the passage of time, similarly to the Angels, but he just wouldn't pass away no matter how much he would bleed or how many fatal injuries he had. His situation bothered him for centuries.

It's common knowledge here in the Underworld that those who acquire the powers of a Demonic Lord are unable to bear children, as a result of our race's ancient sinful deeds.

Nevertheless, seeing his close ones; his friends, his "family"—wives over the ages—and even children he adopted, dying over and over again was something he couldn't bear for much longer. He wanted to die so that he could pass his Demonic powers to someone he loved or trusted like any other Demonic Lord. But, that was not possible for him.

Shrem believes that misery gripped him, making him unwilling to live his life any longer...

With a pensive expression on their faces, Yonuro and Ramael thought "Ow... That's so tragic..."

Since Shrem wasn't done sharing information with them though, they let him continue.

Shrem- It's widely known here that the killer of a Demonic Lord absorbs their Dark Essence and becomes the very new one. Through the Ritual of Excecution, the bearer of such power agrees to be killed instantly without feeling any pain, while the inheritor of the power doesn't feel guilty about killing them. This is the ethical and correct way of preserving the Demonic Powers. That's generally how our Lords' powers are preserved.

(sigh...) However, when Yahin destroyed his soul, the cycle that the Demonic Powers follow was interrupted and his Dark Essence escaped his body and spread to the environment.

The only thing left behind was his Demonic Item, the Pendant of Immortality, which itself has a really small fracture of his Immortal powers, while it still allows the bearer to travel to other worlds. This happens due to the fact that a small amount of Dark Essence was channeled into that Demonic Item, when his soul was completely obliterated.

Such little power, which noone was there to inherit, was absorbed by The Pendant of Immortality...

Ramael- Ah, So that's why it still holds the power of teleportation... Now, it makes sense.

Shrem- Yes... So as you can see, this demonic item is really special and it's well hidden and protected in Rein's Palace. That's all Shrem knows about the Pendant and Yahin. Shrem hopes my knowledge enlightened you in some way. Anyway, Shrem wishes the best of luck with your journey. Goodbye fellow friends!

Yonuro- Everything you did was so nice. We are grateful. Farewell, Shrem!

And with that, Yonuro closed the half-broken door of Shrem's house, an act that was followed by a loud thud and with some dust falling down on the grpund. The light of the building completely vanished, leaving behind an unpleasant sensation. Their goal was not an easy one to achieve, but their determination was admirable.

Yonuro was about to look at Ramael's body in order to follow the directions. However, it was too dark for her eyesight to make out the words written in dark ink.

Ramael understood what bothered Yonuro and performed an incantation to change her body color to a soft yellow one. At that moment, Yonuro thanked Ramael and pointed with her finger where they initially had to go to.

Yonuro- This way. Let's go, Ramael.

———————————————————————

Demonic Council's Decision Making Department, Rein's Palace.

There was a large round table made of dark oak wood in the middle of an enormous luxurious room. Three demons and three demonic lords were sitting on the cosy gradiose armchairs around the table and were discussing about the Underworld's future.

The three Demonic lords were Aria, Hellva and Sadron whereas each of the other 3 Demons were the government's Administrator Sooka, the Economic consultant Sota and Underworld's Religious Patriarch, Soda.

Hellva- Good morning everyone. I am pleased that you arrived on time. I have gathered you all here with a view to discussing the possible solutions to an issue concerning us all. We all know that this major complication is the current 4th Demonic Lord, Aniik.

Sadron- That BITCH—

Aria- Keep your temper, Sadron. Shouting won't do you any good. Please, continue. Hellva.

As always, with a dead serious tone of voice, Aria calmly handled the situation.

Hellva- Aniik's goal of destroying the Barrier is not directly concerning to our race. The worrisome outcome however is the following;

If Aniik acquires the opposed Angel's Angelic Veil, in her case, Ramael's, she would attain such power that she would be able to do whatever she pleased with all of the Demonic Lords and Angels. That means that the demonic race would succumb to Aniik's Godly Power. This is what we must prevent from happening at all costs.

Sooka (Administrator)- Well, the most obvious action to take is to kill the 4th Demonic Lord, Aniik. Then—

Soda (Patriarch)- AAARE YOU INSANE? Do you know what a blasphemy it is to kill a Demonic Lord without the Trial of Execution? The (Greek) GODS SHALL BRING CHAOS INTO OUR LIVES!

Hellva- Yeah, yeah... I've heard this line a thousand times. Anyway, the other choice would be to talk to Aniik and make her stop what she is doing... However—

Sota (Economic consultant)- That's impossible, though. Aniik has not changed her mind this whole time. A small talk would not stop her. The best solution I believe is Aniik's Death.

Aria- Yes that would be for the best— NO! That's not HAPPENING!

Aria's distinct serious voice changed into a softer one as if she were a different person.

Sadron- Huh? What happened, Aria?

Aria- (serious, dark tone) It's nothing, resume the discussion, please.

As the discussion continued, Aria was not feeling well. Her head was pounding and she knew that something was wrong. Even though the Demonic Lord Asmodeus has completely taken over Aria's Human body, thus creating forever a new version of her that is a Pure Demonic Lord, her old self, the mother who gave birth to Aniik, has not completely vanished. Now that old self was about to regain control of her mind...

The discussion had ended and Hellva spoke up.

Hellva- Now, cast your votes on what you believe should be done.

The votes were as follows: Hellva, Sadron, Sooka and Sota voted for Aniik's Excecution.

Aria and Soda voted for Negotiations with Aniik.

Hellva headed to the main balcony of Hell's Palace to make an announcement to the public. After she had taken in a deep breath, she then uttered

Hellva- Attention, please! The Demonic Council has decided that we pursue and kill the 4th Demonic Lord, Aniik.

Aria was looking down in absolute sorrow and anger. Her old self took dominant control over her mind, due to the fact that her will to save her daughter was beyond any limit. Her red eyes began to tear...

Sooka- Her death is for everyone's sake. We won't regret making that decision.

Sadron- We'll make this slut pay for betraying us! HAHAHAHA!

Aria- Shut.. The.. HELL UP! Materialize, Dark Sceptre!

As she said that, Aria's Demonic Item, a long Dark Sceptre with the ability to cast lethal incantations at the bearer's will, made its appearance.

Hellva- WHAT?!

At that moment, a loud explosion was heard, when Aria hit the floor with her Dark Sceptre thus creating a cloudy, blinding mist, which blinded everyone in the room. Countless coughs could be heard afterwards...

Everyone- ghk ghk*... Ugh..

Hellva- Don't... let her get away!

Sadron- Certainly! Come to me Diabolic Shield!

A circular, crimson, sharply edged shield appeared. When the mist was about to disappear, Aria's eyesight was filled with 5 enemies, who were about to immobilize her. But she didn't surrender. She gave it her all.

Hellva- There she is!—

Aria kicked the dark round table and send it off with precision to hit Hellva. She then cast a deadly incantation with the intent of killing that powerful but vulnerable Demonic Lord.

Aria- Mor' Quim!

A violent projectile of Dark Essence was released that hit Hellva and cracked the wall behind her. The amount of damage it caused probably triggered Rein's Palace's security alarm, which signaled an invading attack.

Without wasting any more time, she focused her gaze on Sadron. Aria held her sceptre with both hands and started spinning it. An alley of deadly black fireballs appeared above the targetted enemy. However...

Sadron- As expected!

Sadron had predicted the attack and managed to deflect it with a crimson, defensive wall of fire, a powerful ability of his Diabolic Shield, which exterminated all of the projectiles. He counterattacked Aria by charging right at her with his Demonic Item. Aria wasn't fast enough and was knocked down on the floor...

Sadron- Know your place, fucking wench!

As she was on the floor, though, Aria pressed her hands against it and kicked him in the face before rolling back. The battle then paused for a few seconds...

Patriarch Soda could be seen treating Hellva's wounds while murmuring something—a prayer to god most likely. Meanwhile, Sota and Sooka couldn't properly help their allies, therefore they decided to explain the reason why the alarm went off to a crowd of uneasy demons.

Aria and Sadron exchanged deadly glances. Aria's defiant smile got on Sadron's nerves. Both of them quickly readied her weapon. The battle was far from over. However, it wasn't an one versus one battle...

With her own blood, Hellva wrote something in a peculiar book, her Demonic Item, the Pandonomicon. After she had drawn a symbol, she shouted

Hellva- Anu's Rim!

The room darkened as nature reacted to the powerful incantation cast by Hellva. Upon hearing the cursed incantation, Aria fell on her knees, as she wasn't able to withstand the pain. Her soul began to suffer. She felt like a plant without water that was slowly withering away...

(Patriarch) Soda- Don't KILL HER! IT'S A BLASPHEMY TO THE GODS!

Hellva- Don't worry. This will only hurt her soul, not her mind, nor her physical body. She will suffer a lot but she won't die... Unless she kills herself to affiliate the pain, that is... Consequently, she won't be bothering us anymore. Now, let us continue where we left off... Pandonomicon!

The pages of the Pandonomicon were turned by themselves until they stopped at one specific page. A few words about Aniik's whereabouts appeared on that ancient book.

Hellva read them carefully before closing the book. After she had pointed out Aniik's exact location to Sadron, She told him to go after... and murder her.

Sadron- I'll make sure she never breaths again... Farewell, everyone.

After saying that, Sadron left the Palace to prepare for his battle with Aniik. As he was exiting the building, he randomly saw a demon hurriedly running to the Decision making department. That demon seemed troubled and anxious about something but Sadron didn't pay much thought to it.

Then, the door that Sadron had closed a few minutes ago was opened once again. While heavily panting administrator Sooka spoke of words so serious that they shook even Hellva.

(Administrator) Sooka- The Pendant... The Pendant of Immortality... It's GONE!

Hellva- WHAT?! What happened to the GUARDS? What about the ALARM? What nonesense is this...? You're lying, aren't you?!

Sooka- As tragic and unbelievable as it may sound, it is the genuine truth... Someone used this chaotic situation and managed to steal it...

Hellva was in complete shock. She couldn't believe that Yahin's Demonic Item went missing. It meant a lot to everybody, especially to her. Although heartbroken, she found the strength to talk.

Hellva- Don't just STAND there. Find the thief immediately! They must be nearby. Order all the guards to help you. GO ALL OUT!

Sooka- Almost all of the guards have been taken out... I'll do whatever I can, but with so few of us left, it's unrealistic that we find them...

While Hellva was having this important conversation with Sooka, Aria suddenly heard a whisper. She witnessed a slender pale hand touching her immobile self. And then, she heard the same voice talking again...

???- Ra' Mén. May these blessed words heal this tortured soul...

Light particles of Holy Energy extinguished the darkness surrounding Aria. She looked at the person who performed the incantation for a split second, but she couldn't understand who they were.

Aria - Ugh... Wh—Who... Are you..?

In the same that way they appeared, out of nowhere, they disappeared again...

Aria stood up, wiped her blood and tightly held her Dark Sceptre.

Hellva- WHAT IS GOING ON?!

Aria's opponent, Hellva, couldn't believe that Aria's curse was somehow lifted. She was alarmingly furious.

Hellva- BLASPHEMY OR NOT, YOU ARE DYING TONIGHT, ARIA!

Aria- I don't think so! I must prevent Aniik's death!

A mother must save her daughter at all costs. I'll never ever forgive my past actions of leaving her alone. However, I didn't have a choice back then. Now, I do! I have to save my daughter from despair. Only I can do that. And I'LL MAKE IT HAPPEN!

A distrorted defeaning sound was made, when Aria hit the floor with her Dark Sceptre to cumouflage herself in the deep mist that appeared in the room. Hellva recognised this strategy and readied herself for battle. From her left side, Aria jumped at her with great force. However, as Hellva had expected her scheme, she easily dodged the attack and then grabbed her enemy's waist and threw her at the floor.

She left no room for errors, thus revealed a knife she would always keep hidden in her waistband and unhesitantly tried to stab Aria. The pressure Aria felt was so tense, she just barely pushed the knife away from her stomach.

After surviving the attack, Aria pushed Hellva back before punching her in the face. As she gained some distance after falling back from the attack, Hellva threw her knife at Aria, who just caught it with her index and middle finger. She made an ironic smile and tossed the knife away as if saying "I've got something better than that".

Aria summoned once again her demonic item, the Dark Sceptre. However her prideful, smug expression was about to end pretty soon.

Hellva- (*writing) Disarm!

Hellva quickly drew 3 lines on the Pandonomicon, before uttering that word. She envisioned the Sceptre's disappearance and then the Demonic Sceptre, that just made its appearance, faded into nothingness.

It took Aria a couple of seconds to realise what had happened. She blinked 3 times. The 4th time that she opened her eyes, she saw Hellva's right leg next to her face...

Aria felt her head spinning. It was like she had lost touch with reality. She fell back and hit a nearby bookcase. The sound of numerous books dropping on the floor resounded in the room.

The moment Aria came back to her senses, she instictively threw a couple of books that were falling to Hellva's direction. Hellva easily blocked the books in irritation and threw another punch on Aria. Aria quickly stepped aside the attack and gave Hellva her own medicine.

She punched her once on her left cheek so hard that her head almost bent 90° degrees. Aria then shook her right hand to relax her joints before applying more pressure to the enemy.

Hellva tried to answer back with a pathetic punch in this small interval, but it was easily blocked by Aria.

Aria- You're wide open, Hellva!

Aria instantly delivered a second brutal uppercut to her defenceless opponent, strong enough to send her back to the position of the broken round table. Scars everywhere, Hellva couldn't do move an inch. The only thing she could do was hear Aria's steps as she was getting closer and closer to end her.

Aria was then about to punch her again and finish her off, but she stopped. Her intentions weren't to kill anyone, but to save her daughter, Aniik. When she realised that she would be no different than those who wouldn't try to negotiate with her, but had only the word "kill" in mind, she held her hand back.

In the end, while bracing herself, Hellva was not met with another punch but with these next calm words.

Aria- Great fight you put up there, Hellva. I didn't expect you to pose such a threat. But now I think it's all over for you... No worries, I'm not here to kill you, but rather to get my stuff back and enjoy my spoils.

After saying that, Aria grabbed her enemy's Demonic Item, the Pandonomicon, disabled the incantation and her own Dark Sceptre thus materialised. She then looked at the page that the 3 lines were drawn, observed it carefully, and then she gazed at Hellva with each Demonic item on each respective hand. Lastly, she turned the page, drew the exact same lines and uttered

Aria- Pandonomicon, Disarm!

Hellva, although injured, still managed to put on a reaction. She never expected that to happen. Because...

Hellva- What did you do?! Padnonomicon..? Materialize... Just· why...? °-°

Aria- You practically don't own the Pandonomicon right now. I don't have your Dark Essence, so it's not mine either. Its power is now sealed and noone can control it. It can't be summoned for example. It's just like any other ordinary book. A pretty useful one, though, if you ask me.

Hellva- You little— Ugh... Why do you do this..? You can't change Aniik's mindset... I've even ordered Sadron to kill her... Just why would you???

Aria- Don't underestimate me or Aniik. I'm sure she's grown strong all these years by herself. She'll manage to survive. And even if there is a small chance to change her mind and save her, I'll bet on it. I guess I sould say farewell then, Hellva.

Aria focused her thought for a few seconds and teleported away from her current location through the use of her Demonic powers.

The Demonic Council's Decision Making Department was filled with dead silence.

The only person in there was Hellva, who could barely stand on her feet. When she finally did get up, she witnessed the chaos in the roomwith her own two trembling eyes. Before that fight, everyone thought that it was a luxurious V.I.P. room that only the higher-ups would set foot in.

However, what Hellva saw was far different than that. The walls had almost fallen apart and a massive mess of books, chairs and broken table pieces were apparent. Dust was everywere, probably from Aria's abilities, the destroyed items and all those old books falling from the bookcases.

Hellva deeply sighed...

Hellva - The once powerful demonic council has almost perished. It's only me left here from the other Demonic Lords and even with my powers partially disabled. I'm unable to even know who is accountable for the Pendant's disappearance... How pathetic...

Hellva then cleaned the dust off her clothes and headed to the entrance door. As she opened it, she saw a few guards that were knocked out, but without a single trace of blood.

"Hm... Whoever did this didn't wish for murder" she thought.

She continued walking along the long corridor until she got in the room where the Pendant was kept safe. And then, she saw it with her own eyes. The Pendant of Immortality was gone. Hellva knelt on the floor before the Pendant's safe. Tears came out of her usually unflinching eyes that fell off her cheeks at an increasing rate. Her tears soon flowed like a river and an intense scream followed to top it all off.

Hellva was secretively in "love" with Yahin. She admired his talents and was greatly inspired by his personality. Using her Pandonomicon, she read all about him and she couldn't get her mind off of him. After his death, she swore to protect the last thing he owned, his pendant. It was enough to make her remember of who he was and how much his unique character had changed her. It was something very dear to her. Therefore, losing it was something really devastating for her.

After a while, numerous guards from all over the Underworld, not just Wargram, entered the building to establish order and save as many unconscious co-workers as possible. After Hellva had told the guards what happened, she decided to notify all Demons about today's tragic events.

Guards- Okay, mhm. We'll take it from here, Hellva.

Hellva then exited the building and told everyone about the Pendant's disappearance, Aria's

betrayal, as well as her own powers being disabled to a great margin.

Then, the only demon who knew what had happened, thought to himself.

"Fine work, Yonuro... Shrem is utterly impressed..."
