Chapter 3: Elder Sister

“Ah.... Prince, that was a bit…...that wasn’t unexpected of her…...I recommend thinking your questions over before you ask next time.” Bernard said, almost vomiting

“Oh….. Sorry, my curiosity got the better of me. But she’s immortal? How?” The prince asked, reaching for his ear in a daze

“Two reasons. One is that she-ah. No, I’m not allowed to say. Sorry. The thought still hurts me a little, even.” Bernard said, flinching

“Who is she? I think I understand why she already feels so strongly at such a young age, but…...” The prince said, looking at the blood that now caked the ground around where she had been

“You two are merely a year apart.” Bernard said

He noticed the princes face

“Sorcier. I recommend not falling for her. It will only lead to pain. And as she said, she isn’t interested in men. So there isn’t even a chance in the first place.” Bernard said

“Bernard, so informal. Isn’t that against the rules? Little Brother, you should give him a little punishment.” A voice said, teasingly

“Guh!” Bernard said, the vomit he had tried to hold back spilled out, and he went to the bushes, all of it dribbling from his mouth before he finally let it out.

“Oh, dear. He seems to be broken.” The voice said

“Elder Sister, stop torturing my servants. Just leave. I’m thinking about something.” The prince said

“Ah. Right. Today was the day you were supposed to meet with serana, wasn’t it. The meeting you set up without fathers permission. I’m guessing you didn’t learn much, thankfully.” Elder sister said

“What? What do you mean by that?” The prince asked

“The floor is clean. From your vomit, at least. Ah. Anyway, just be happy you don’t know much. And despite that damning curiosity of yours, trying to learn is probably going to cause more than one person pain. At least leave it alone so another person doesn’t get hurt. Just forget it. Unless dad tells you.” Elder sister said

“Then I’ll ask him tomorrow.” The prince said

“Little brother, you misunderstood. I meant if dad calls you over and tells you. Asking him without warning is going to get you beaten black and blue. On dad’s own orders. Well, I’ll leave.” Elder sister said, leaving

“Bye, sis.” The prince said, sitting there. Confused.

“Hm. Evan, you’re there right?” Elder sister asked

“Yeah, but you know damn well I can’t do anything. Anything else you need besides that, Olivia?” Evan asked, popping into existence with a frown

“I know. You have to work on that Haruto thing, right? You explained it. Just help her when you’re done dealing with that. Other than that, do you think that the marriage between the two is a good idea?” Olivia asked

“That’s not my best subj-oh. That’s a problem. Oh, dear. This dimension is trying to register Serena as dead. Two things are happening. One, Serena is repeatedly dying. She might be stuck right now. Two, she was the main character, so her temporary absence caused a soul to float in years ago, and the detection on that soul is also showing it continuously dying. Another soul floated in, yet again.” Evan said

“Enough gibberish, cloud boy. explain.” Olivia said

“Well, someone from another world reincarnated here around the same time serana was born, and it just happened again. I’ll check on serana and then the girl. She’s in the next country over. I don’t think I talked about her before. Then I have to talk with the soul that’s waiting in the middle of this world and their previous one. So I gotta go make sure they’re both fine. See ya livvy!” Evan said, disappearing into thin air.

“Hmph. You better hurry up with that haruto guy.” Livvy said
