The lobby was organized like the Therapy Center his Alt attended as it had two types of counters as well. However their counters carved in black stone doubled as a barrier allowing its users to go beyond its fetters, leading them towards a heavy double steel door housing a spacious waiting room.
Mùndò smirked.
While the extreme majority would go to the free waiting room—hence the waiting line—, he shall cruise his way towards the venue’s luxurious amenities.
Halci also made her way towards the empty counter, gaining approval since she already won a single tournament.
Beckoning the mùkèlako to come closer, she said, “Mùndò, come near the light so that I can register you with me, that way you’ll also get the perks of being a premium user as my teammate…”
Oh really?
He gave her a shit-eating grin as the automaton recognized him as a Prime Pleasurer, allowing him to get the luxurious amenities on his own as well as the twenty-percent discount on every food, beverage, or anything else they sold here!
Mùndò kept his arrogant grin while she facepalmed.
Why did she even do this?
After their first meeting, she did some research on her new teammate and learned that he was a Prime Pleasurer, but since she did that nearly two cycles ago, she forgot that detail and humiliated herself like a rookie pilot!
Her benevolent image crashed and burned in a single moment!
Personally, she never judged someone else’s job, no matter what she thought of it—though it explained her teammate easy wealth—, but nevertheless, she never expected that such status would avail him entry in this particular industry.
Seeing her shame, the young man chuckled as he linked his registration with his teammate.
“Prime Pleasurer Bòkoeyo wished to form a team with First Grade Singles Champion Demne in a First Grade Doubles Competition. To fulfill the requirements, please stay still while we assess whether you have any Alturixes above the First Grade,” the automaton said, before a bright light shrouded his flesh.
A few seconds later, the automaton confirmed him, allowing the light emerald barrier to fade away. Glancing at his pensive partner, he pointed forwards, saying, “Now, shall we go then, my lady? The barrier’s open…”
She quickly nodded and they strode their way beyond their steel gate amidst a few glances.
Some curious.
Others determined.
They arrived in a grey marble anti-chamber where a pair of well-dressed male and female Roland received them with a low bow. “We humbly welcome First Grade Singles Champion Demne and Prime Pleasurer Bòkoeyo to our Premium facilities,” the female Roland said in a suave tone, garnering their approval.

The male Roland pointed to the giant black double door, saying, “This door leads to an expansive training facility aimed to provide your Alturixes with some last-ditch training before their matches, as well as energy food to even the energy shortfall after their workout.”
Freeta’s crimson eyes glinted. “Well, well, that’s the door for me, folks. Gotta warm myself up and remove that boner my Trainer gave me,” she enthusiastically said with a saucy wink towards him, earning her an eye-roll in reply.
Snickering by his reaction, she turned towards Halci’s four alts. “Aren’t you coming with me, you guys?”
They all shook their head, preferring to enjoy themselves by watching the matches before they came on stage.
Her head jerking towards the male Roland, she asked if he could lead her.
“Obviously, Lady Freeta. This way, please,” he said as he waved his hands towards the front door, which surprised her.
“You know my name?” she asked.
“When your Trainer registered himself with you, your name, as well as his were transferred to our earpieces, My Lady. A service exclusively catered to our most prestigious customers, My Lady,” the male Roland replied with deference.
“Oooh, I like that service very much already… Mùnmùn, make sure that we keep having these perks, okay? We deserve that much, hee-hee-hee!” She said with a tinkling laugh.
She now understood why Jemma knew her name when she met her the first time!
Her Trainer shook his head with a wry smile.
This girl and her antics…
But she was right, as always.
She did deserve that much.
And he’ll definitely make sure that such lifestyle would be preserved. “You’ve got that right, baby, but how are we going to regroup when our turn is up?” he asked the two servants.
“You can rest assured, Prime Pleasurer Bòkoeyo. Beyond the rooms behind each door lies another gate directly leading to the fighting arena, so you won’t need to backtrack your way to the training area to see your Trainees. Furthermore, your respective earpieces will warn you when you’re called, allowing you guys to be on time for your matches.” The female Roland answered.
Mùndò nodded, understanding his Alt plight.
Her Shadow Fire Mastery is about to level up, and luckily, she might breakthrough in between…
Plus, she’ll shake that drowsiness out of her system as well.
“Okay, then, see ya, babe,” Freeta said, giving him a quick peck on his lips before she skipped away with the male Roland beyond the front door.
“Distinguished customers, the right door leads to a game room replete with free snacks and beverages, while the left one leads to a bevy of private waiting rooms, so where do you want to go?” the Female Roland asked.
“The game room for me! You guys in?” the electric Alt said, gazing at his fellow companions.
His fellow Alt happily acquiesced, while the two Trainers decided to wait in their shared waiting room, anticipating the upcoming matches.
Seeing this, Halci’s heart sank a little bit.
Admittedly, she approved of Freeta’s work ethic, willing to use every bit of time she had to improve their chances of victory, while her Alts who were older than her thought about leisure instead.
It wasn’t that they didn’t deserve some break—since they underwent a rigorous training with her who truly put them through the wringer—but once they went through hard work, they directly went back to lazing off a bit, despite their incredible talent.
And they are talented, else how could she win a Singles Tournament?
But talent, if not buttressed by a hardworking mentality, would eventually waste itself.
And if her cooperation with Mùndò continues this way, her share would dwindle to his advantage, as she didn’t doubt that any subsequent Alt he’ll possess would slack a little bit before Freeta…
For now, she didn’t berate them and left them to their devices, but after the tournament, she’ll have to push her Trainees to take a log of Freeta.
It’ll help theirs and her fortunes in the long run.
Fortune she’ll sorely need if she seeks to accomplish her objectives…
Unlike them, the Doubles Tournament was about to begin, and they would definitely have to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of their opponents instead of idly playing around…
After the Female Roland led Halci’s alt away, she led them towards the twenty-first private room…
