Chapter 12: Improvements (Last Part)

The physician nodded as he replied, “Of course, Prime Pleasurer. You see, in a bid to save money, you could decide to simply increase, say, your Alturix Tèmènè level, even twice in one shot, but studies have showcased how deleterious such strategy would be to the Alturixes long-term abilities, or in worst cases, health.’

‘The reason why deep down was simple: balance. What we’re doing technically disrupts the natural balance the Alturixes possesses, and the only way we could accelerate their growth without harming their foundation is by increasing—”

“Their four attributes at the same time in order to fool their bodies into believing that they grew naturally, am I right?” the mùkèlako interrupted with a grin.

The Roland’s smile almost reached his ears. “Prime Pleasurer understands, but should you wish to save—”

“No, no, I don’t, but I would like to know how much would that double procedure cost, and how much does a full set level growth cost as well,” Mùndò asked.

“Of course,” his interlocutor said.

Touching his earpiece, he produced a screen only he could read, then said, “The double procedure, including the fifteen percent discount, would cost twelve thousand five hundred Dilans, Prime Pleasurer.”

The black man nodded, shutting his eyes to think for a second.

Should he pay this, he’ll basically be out of money, but fortunately, a sizable influx of cash would be forthcoming tonight.

He’ll have to give up a registration to the fanciest gym and do some personal shopping at a later date.

Even though he could use his bank’s line of credit, he refused to do so.

Why would he incur debt when money could be quickly and easily earned in his line of work?

He nodded his assent to the procedure, and after he paid, he asked, “Before we start, I’d like to know the intervals by which we can safely do a full set therapy to another.”

“Of course. For this, it’ll depend on the Alturix genes, so the result varies. We’ll have to do a blood test to identify how soon we could perform another procedure, may I?” the Roland replied, asking permission to the Trainer who nodded.

The Roland activated his earpiece once more as his personal screen blinked into existence. Pushing a button on the edge of his office, a syringe alongside a white box with a hole in the center emerged out of a hidden cache.

The needle flew towards Freeta who was instructed to put up her left forearm, and as soon as the blood sample was extracted, it flew inside the ivory box hole and emptied its contents.

The box then vibrated for a dozen seconds before it stopped.

This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

Thirty seconds later, the Roland’s eyes lit up. “Well, well, Prime Pleasurer Bòkoeyo, you’ll be pleased to know that due to your Alt strong genes and blood density, she’ll be able to safely take on a full set therapy within a short interval of twenty-five days! To give you a comparison, an average Alt would have to wait at least fifty days or more! And that’s if they even respect those safety guidelines, which many unfortunately don’t…”

Mùndò frowned. “Why aren’t they? Aren’t you supposed to do some follow-up or something?” he asked.

After all, even though he got some general knowledge, he didn’t inquire deeper about it.

The physician sighed. “You see, that’s the difference between the VIP and our normal services. You might have not realized, but when the average citizen come by our institution, they pay for candy therapy doses that our experts inject within their Alt before we send them on their way, unlike your Alt who’s going to stay with us for the next two days so that our devices help her better assimilate the therapy inside her body.’

‘Even if they pay for a full set, we’ll keep them for six hours at best. And unlike you, they’ll have to pay if they want to know with accuracy how long they’ll have to wait before they provide their Alt with another injection, so now you can understand why many Alt would be more likely to have a weaker foundation than others…”

Mùndò nodded twice. “I understand. So when can we start the procedure?”

“We can start now, if you want.”

Seeing his customer’s approval, he led them to another door on their left, giving way to a small room where a fifteen-foot long glassy pod with veiny grooves crouched on the floor.

On the corners of each side rose a black sphere melded to the pod, while a gray furniture stood inconspicuously on the back.

Opening the pod remotely, the physician invited Freeta to lie inside the center of the device, which she did.

Mùndò watched how the expert retrieved four round pills, each hued for a different attribute.

He also retrieved a syringe larger than the previous one, which he placed inside one of the many protrusions cresting the oblong contraption, the needle pointing towards the Alt’s worried scalp.

He then put each candy within the black spheres, and reassured Freeta that she just had to relax, and everything would be okay.

Her taut muscles visibly relaxed as she panned her gaze towards her lover and gave him a grateful smile.

He smiled back before he heard, “Starting double procedure now.”

A whirring sound pealed across the room as the ebony spheres shook, and a white gas filled the pod, putting the endowed Alt to sleep.

A minute later, the spheres became still once more, and their contents began to flow down the grooves, and soon covered the patient in a four-colored viscous liquid while the needle above directly prickled her brain second before her head was fully submerged as well.

The mùkèlako surmised that it must’ve been the learning chip, but that begged the question, “Let’s just say that I want my Alt to rest inside me, wouldn’t any external material be ejected out of her before she reaches me?” he asked.

“It won’t because in those two days, the chip will actually be fried and digested by the brain currents itself, imparting her the required knowledge. To optimize her learning, we recommend the Trainer to have an earpiece ready for us to provide when necessary, so I must ask if you have one for her?” the physician replied.

Mùndò nodded, giving the physician the other earpiece he bought, but not before he put his number on it as well as linking his bank account on it to set her properly.

Keeping the device within his pocket, he said, “With that done, Prime Pleasurer, you only need to wait for the result in two days! I believe that the results would be worth the expense! And don’t worry, since your number is in the earpiece, she’ll be sure to call you to pick her up. Now, if you don’t have any more questions, let us exchange our numbers before I graciously see you out!”

The mùkèlako shook his head, and after they exchanged their contacts information, he left the premises impatient to see how his lovely Freeta would turn out…
