Just another average morning for our protagonist William, an average teenager and high school student. Yawning loudly as William rises from his bed, scrawls slowly to the bathroom to get this morning started. Finishing his breakfast and sending off his dad, few more weeks of summer vacation left until school starts again. William moves to his room and slips into his capsule. William has been playing Royal Road slightly over a year. He was one of the few members who started the Black Lion guild which is one of the top current guilds.

As soon as William logs on he feels a headache coming as his eyes gaze over the guild chat another meaningless argument. William sighs and speaks with a low voice : so sick and tired of his already afterward William calls out his Stat windows:

´Looking over his stats pondering a bit before receiving a whisper from another high ranking in the guild.

Jessica : Hey Willy, you are up early today get to the guild castle quickly.

William replied a bit flustered and loud voice: Stop calling me that. I will be there shortly.

Upon entering the guild castle William is surrounded by several people bugging with questions. Several minutes pass before William is able to flee from the flock of people, he continues to the meeting room. Still an hour time before the meeting starts William and Jessica start discussing hunting ground and recently explored dungeon in their territory, once all the guild officers have arrived and seated the weekly meeting started. Each high officer gave report of their on their progress and set backs in their villages. Sadly this weeks meeting got heated up half way and ended suddenly with 3 officers storming out of the meeting room. William sighed and turned over to Jessica : Think we can head down the new dungeon and explore a bit, it would be a nice change of pace. Jessica looked a bit down and replied : “Sorry, I need to get back and manage the soldier training need to build up stronger defense in case of oncoming siege. I will get back to you soon Willy.” Jessica got up her seat and left, several minutes later William rose from his seat and left the guild castle, moving to the pub looking for a decent meal before heading out but unfortunately the peace did not last since William got swarmed by other players as he took his first step into the pub. Feeling frustrated and quite annoyed about all this attention William had nothing else to do but log out and take a breather. Several hours pass as William does some chores, makes himself lunch and channel surfs a bit before entering his capsule again and logging online. His peace was interrupted as soon as he managed to log in and leave the pub, instantly flooded by whispers. Williams head pounding already before he is able to leave the town, unable to stand all this focus and attention William started to log out again but this time he does not get out of his capsule instead he stays at the log in screen, few minutes pass before William speaks up in a mild manner and says: delete avatar few seconds passes as William gets the automatic reply “Are you sure?”. William nods lightly and firmly says: “Yes!”

William takes a deep breath as he sees his character is deleted, a years worth of hard work gone in few seconds. Standing in the void a while as feeling a bit lost with his character gone, regaining his senses William yells out: “Create new character!”
