Hey guys! Sorry this one will be short, it will also seem a bit rushed as my weekend right now is very busy starting right after I post this. Thank you all for reading I hope you all enjoy this chapter!
--------------------------------------------
The day began with me being assaulted by work.
The Master of Ceremonies came to my mansion and handed me the list of teams going to the tournament.
I looked over it in the living room and found it satisfactorily. There were in total 15 coming, 12 members with 3 as backups in case anything happened.
The first team was mine and our backup was Abigail, she was an Avan from the Asgard Empire. She had purple hair, red fiery eyes, fair skin and silvery wings. She was a part of the Asgardian Valkyrie force as their researcher but after having heard of my institute, she quit and joined us. Like most Avans, she was similar to humans in build but she had a slightly longer lifespan, she stood at five feet with a lean build. She was a Lord ranked form mage with an emphasis on lances as well as a Squire ranked lancer.
The second team consisted of a bearman, owlman, stone dwarf, mountain dwarf and a human. Their leader was the human named Mason who was an Adept ranked inner mage and a Squire ranked axe wielding warrior. He stood at almost six feet tall, had brown hair, fair skin and brown eyes.
The bearman was named Grawl. He had brown fur, blue eyes and a vertical scar on his left eye. He was a Sage ranked Nature mage with a Warrior rank in fist fighting.
The owlman was named Hoot. He had yellow and red downs, a small beak and red eyes. His frame was sleek, suited for flying. Unlike an Avan, the bird-based beastmen have characteristics of the birds they are likened to. They have the abilities of the birds as well as the perception of animals. Hoot was a Sage ranked Wind mage and a Novice ranked bow and arrow user.
The Stone dwarf was named Stein. He had basalt like skin, green eyes and spiky black hair. His build was solid like he was a boulder. He was a Lord ranked Earth mage and a Novice ranked war hammer warrior.
Their backup was the Mountain dwarf named Thorvald. He had blonde hair, fair skin and red eyes. His build was smaller than Stein’s but he was still solidly built. He was a Master ranked Healing mage and a Guardian ranked mace warrior.
The third team consisted of a Blood Elf, High Elf, Dark Elf, Dark Dwarf and another Avan. The leader was the High Elf called Llen. He had blonde hair, fair skin, and green eyes. His build was lean but strong. He was a Master ranked Nature mage and a Squire ranked in wielding a Lixunt, a double bladed quarterstaff that could separate into two.
The Blood Elf was named Hlin. She had red hair, brown skin, red eyes and a muscular frame. She was a Sage ranked Form mage and a Squire ranked in wielding an Ilun, a blade made of chained metal plates that could change its form many times in a fight.
The Dark Elf was named Marix. She had pale skin, white hair and red eyes. Her frame was gentle yet mysterious. She was a Sage ranked Calamity mage and a Novice rank in quarterstaff. Calamity magic was a special affinity magic involving Darkness, Nature, Chaos, and Void mana.
The Dark Dwarf was named Thord and he had dark skin, silver hair, and blue eyes. Like all Dark Dwarves he was less muscular than the Mountain or Stone Dwarves. Notwithstanding, his skill in magic is very good. He is a King ranked Arcane mage.
Lastly, the Avan was named Alice, she had red hair, blue eyes, brown skin and black wings. She was a Master ranked Healing mage and a Squire ranked in crossbows.
The three teams were the made of the strongest in my school and would no doubt be able to handle the other schools. Of course, this was my pride speaking as I wanted my school to win the very first tournament.
The other schools we would be competing against were Asmodeus Academy in the Rigel Kingdom. The Royal Elven College and Lenari Academy in the Elven Kingdom. The Luna Academy and Federation Academy in the Lunaria Federation. The Desert College and Mustashum Royal Academy in the Mustashum Empire. The Stoneking’s College and Gunterra Academy from the Dwarves.

In total, there would be thirty teams fighting against each other in the events. The Tournament will last for 36 days, 7 days for the Lightning Wing Shootout, Stone Tomb, Chimera Extermination and Duels leaving 4 days for Group Battles.
It was going to be a long month once we got started.
Having confirmed the team roster, I went to eat lunch with everyone. Looking over the dossier took most of the morning.
After lunch, I met with all the teams coming from my school.
They all gathered at my office.
Around me were the Team 1 members while in front of me were Teams 2 and 3.
They were all exactly just like the dossier said.
“Now, tomorrow we will begin going to Asmodeus Academy,” I said, “As I’m sure you all know, it will only take us one day to get there because of our busses.”
We had just finished construction of busses after having seen how it was done in my dream. Our busses were modified to be able to have all of the amenities that my mansion has, needless to say it took a lot of Void mana to do so.
During the process, we found out that so long as there was enough Void mana, it would work the same way as Space mana.
“Each team will get one bus, it will follow Team 1’s bus to Asmodeus. Again, I stress that you do not use magic inside of the bus,” I said recalling an incident with one of our busses.
We can use magic inside the bus but because of the modified space, the amount of mana used in magic is actually very different at any one time. This would cause the spell to fizzle or cause drastic dangers.
“Now, get your stuff loaded on the busses and we’ll leave in the morning,” I said as they all left.
I stayed in my office working on other things that had to be done before I left for 1 month.
The next day, we left safely and without any problems.
During the trip though, we were attacked by some chimeras but they were dealt easily with the defensive magic installed on the busses.
We arrived in Asmodeus Academy without any problems.
The next day was the actual start of the Tournament. A few days ago was just the day that Asmodeus Academy would begin allowing visitors to come and stay. It was made to excite them for the real thing happening in a few days.
That evening was a banquet that we all attended.
It was then that I saw all of the contestants. I used one of my spells “Expose” on all the opponents. This spell concentrated mana inside of my eye while disguising the concentration of mana. It used Inner, Spirit and Arcane mana. With this spell, I could see all of the target’s vulnerabilities as well as their affinity and magic. The only problem is that it can only work on the targets that I could see.
There were a few Space and Time magicians which surprised me but most of them were of the other affinities.
Even though the banquet was a social gathering, most of us were all looking at the competition. Most of them were all looking at me.
“You’re everyone’s target,” said Kaiser beside me.
“Not surprising, he did found a school,” said Sasha.
I just shrugged and exposed everyone that I could.
Soon enough the banquet ended and we all slept in our respective busses.
