Chapter Six - Fishy Fetch Quest II - Crates!

Chapter Six - Fishy Fetch Quest II - Crates!

The Angler desperately wanted a fish from the caves underground. The reason was obvious: to stick it in someone’s bed. To acquire this fish, he asked our brave Squire Slime to escort the Nerdy Slime on a subterranean adventure. Or, to said Squire Slime, to follow behind the Nerdy Slime and protect it while it read from a piece of paper.

At first, nothing of note happened as they walked underground. That stayed the case up until they narrowly avoided a spinning Giant Shelly to the face. Luckily, the Squire Slime was able to intercept any further attempts at aggressively spinning towards our pair of slimes.

The next threat came in the form of a skeleton who had the unusual ability to throw its own bones. In order to dodge the bones, the Nerdy Slime had to show off its newly acquired ability to summon a cloud underfoot with which to jump an extra time. The additional accessory slot already showed its use.

Some walking later, and they got to the pool marked on the map. The Nerdy Slime took out its fishing pole and hooked some bait. It cast the rod, and waited for a hook. Meanwhile, the Squire Slime fought off a rabid bat. Some bass later, the Nerdy Slime caught something that was not just a fish. Instead, it caught a gray crate, which it then stored away in its backpack along with the fish. More fishing later, and one poison-spewing Salamander attack later, the goal fish was acquired.

After walking back to the surface, our slimes gave the Angler his requested fish and were rewarded with a few fishing potions, which would increase fishing power for 4 minutes. After completing the quest, the Nerdy Slime opened the crate it caught. Inside was a more powerful bait. With these, the Nerdy Slime would be able to get more fish faster on the next quest. Unfortunately, our Squire Slime was once again left with no more reward than of a job well done.
