I shrink myself down again but stay in bird form.
I fly towards the thing that feels like it's about on the same level as me. It's actually a little bit stronger but I feel no danger coming from it. I fly above it and go in circles while looking down at it. It seems to be a type of bird…
It's got blue feathers, is about 3m tall and has little strips of electricity coming off it. I see it calling into the air and realize I can slightly understand it. It's a mating call.
Sorry bud, the only courting you're gonna do is with death.
I barrel down towards him and am about to give him a peck to the skull when suddenly a shield made of electricity blocks my path. I stop my charge and blast it with an atomic breath. The shield manages to block my attack, but cracks in some places.
The bird, who I decided to call a thunderbird, flies up into the air and starts trying to run away. It's rather fast, but I can guarantee I'm faster. I keep flying and manage to get ahead of him. I send a gravity beam his way, which stuns him for a second when it hits and makes his wings seize up.
It seems he's not too resistant to his own type of attack. He lets out a hawk-like call just far deeper.
I decide to give him a bit of a show. I grow myself to about 5m and give him a weak Sonic call.
"SCREEEEEEEEEE-PAPAPA-SHING!"
It cracks the ground around him and makes his little ear holes start bleeding. This disorients him and causes him to flop around, unable to keep balance. I turn into my big birb form and grab him in one of my hands. He struggles slightly but has no strength left.
I take his body in one hand, and his head in the other.
*CRACK*
And snap his birb neck.
I then toss him in my mouth and eat him.
[Monsoon Eagle DNA: 100%]
[Magicules gained: 13825 (233273)
[Abilities Unlocked:]
[Lightning beam: a beam of pure electric energy is shot from your mouth.]
[Lightning shield: A passive lightning shield protects you from one attack before fizzling away.]
[Thunderclap: Make a loud thunderous noise with your throat.]
[Mutations Gained:]
[Electric Feathers: Your feathers collect static electricity and allow you to shock anything that comes into contact with them like a moray eel]
[Eagle Eyes: You have really good eyes.]
[Iron Beak: Your beak becomes as hard as iron and grows harder with each bit of energy gained.]
Hm. I guess I've got some better defenses now. And it makes peck a more realistic choice during fights. I usually tend to avoid peck because of how close it makes my head get and how little damage it would actually do. It's good for an ambush, but not during an actual fight. Now, thanks to iron beak I'll be able to use it more often.
I guess my overwhelming amount of skills and unlimited mana (due to my attacks not costing me any energy) make it to where I can overpower things at the same level as me. Plus, the ability to get rid of my presence completely is a bit overpowered.

Hmm… Maybe I should goad a human country into attacking me so I have a reason to go berserk. Guy usually doesn't care if a few human cities get destroyed by monsters, he just stopped me because I wasn't in the right state of mind. If I can somehow trick humanity into attacking me, I'll be able to commit genocide with no repurcussions.
Wow. The rimworld player in me came out. Next thing you know I'll be making human skin cowboy hats.
Hmm. I'll save the hats for another time.
I think I have a good idea of how to goad them. I'll start raiding their farms and taking the animals. I'll fly by in my smaller form and grab like a cow or something, then fly off towards a very obvious giant nest. Yeh.
I fly towards a relatively big city on the western side of the continent, so as to avoid the true dragon on the eastern side. It looks about the same size as Manhattan, just smaller buildings. It should easily have the rest of the souls I need and if not, there's a bigger city just a few miles away.
I fly towards the forest beside it and set up a nest in the tallest tree with silk and leaves. After I'm finished with my nest, I fly off towards the farmland outside the walls. I make myself about 5m tall to give off a monstrous appearance, but not a pseudo-demon lord level appearance. I also erase my magicules to make myself seem weaker than I am.
I swoop down after seeing a particularly big bull. I grab it in my claws, and scare the poor farmers who will soon die. I see the woman run off while the man tries to chase me off, which is weird considering I've already flown away from him with the bull in my grasp.
Why did I grab a bull and not a cow? Simple, they can't make more cows without a bull.
I bring the bull over to my very visible nest and set it down. It charges me and hits me with its horns. The horns shatter on contact with my feathers. I peck its skull and start cooking it with electricity, then eat it.
Nothing like medieval fantasy wagyu beef.
I pick its bones clean and then drop them out of the nest to make it even more obvious from the ground where I am.
I rest for a little while and sense a small group of soldiers coming towards me. Wow, that worked fast. I guess bulls are important.
"Remy, cut the tree down, Delilah use a spell to keep its wings together. Richter shoot at it. The rest of you give them help."
I hear the man at the front give orders and sense a small amount of magicules being gathered into three soldiers. One of them walks forward and strikes the tree I'm in, but doesn't manage to cut it in one go.
"It's unfortunate we were too late to save the bull, but we can nip the problem in the bud."
Another swing later, the tree is falling and I flap my wings like a panicked bird and try to fly away slowly. The mage casts a spell that makes a magicule rope that wraps around my wings and plasters them to my side. I fall to the floor and screech at them with a regular birb screech acting scared. The leader of the pack is a man who stupidly wears no helmet. He has a balding head and has a giant scar across his left eye. The mage who wrapped my wings is a young woman wearing a miniskirt? Really?
The guy that cut down my tree is a typical hero looking mf with blonde hair, and the archer is the typical archer main, skinny and flimsy.
The leader looks at me and says,
"Awe, don't worry little birdie, we'll make it quick."
I chuckle to myself and turn into my humanoid form in front of them while also shrugging off the magic rope. After turning humanoid, I speak,
"That was easy."
They jump back in fear as the leader speaks up,
"Ah, a harpy huh? Never knew your kind could turn into actual birds."
I chuckle lightly and say,
"Oh, poor things. I'm no harpy. I'm a draenix. Half phoenix, half dragon. And thank you so much for going along with my plot. Now I can gather all the souls I need."
The leader is about to speak again, but I nearly instantly run in front of him and punch his head off his shoulders.
The other soldiers all shrink back in fear as the strongest of them was dealt with in a millisecond. The hero character stands in front of me with his sword out towards me and sweat dripping down his forehead. The mage girl falls to her knees as she looks at the headless corpse of the leader, and the ranger instantly shoots an arrow at me before running away. The arrow bounces off, but I'm not gonna let any souls escape me!
I shoot out an electric beam towards the fleeing soldiers, killing them all.
The hero type looks at me with anger in his face while the mage girl just passes out. Suddenly, the hero guy speaks up,
"H-how can you just kill people? They were my friends! I won't forgive you!"
I look at him and spit an atomic breath at him that turns him into a mist.
"No shonen speeches you obnoxious cunt."
I walk over to the mage girl and see quite an adorable girl in all honesty. She has red hair, freckles, and rather big eyes. Her body is quite curvy, but still has a youthful cuteness to it.
Anyways, I step on her head and kill her instantly. Well then, time to go on another rampage!
