Chapter 14 – Closes to hell
A headless body lay on the ground, blood streaming all over the floor creating a pit of blood under his feet. A cut of head facing down on to the ground, his hair stained with blood. There stood a man above it, covered in blood all over his body. As he kept silently facing down to the ground, seemingly lost in thought.
Multiple footsteps were approaching the scene.
He looked up and faced into the direction of the footsteps, Yuki and the knight captain were approaching me. Behind them many Adventurers and Holy Knights.
He silently looked at heir direction as he proceeded to look into Yuki eyes and gave her a slight nod with the head.
She thought that this was it and he would be lost forever but then it came to her mind, and he stopped walking towards him.
Kage began covering himself in some strange matter that appeared out of nowhere, this matter looked like a starry sky in the night, the void, where nothing exists and he disappeared from his place, leaving the people questioning many things.
“He left…” the captain shortly reported into the room.
As he seemed disappointed of the fact that he couldn´t thank him for saving them, he proceeds to declare to all people present:
* As you just saw this “Monster” is not a bad person, he is a human being just like us. If anyone dares to go against him, then he will first have to go through me.
Everyone in the room was shocked by the bold statement of the captain.
He turns his face towards Yuki and asks:
-You know him? Why would he just leave like that?

She seemed unbothered by the question as she stood there silently with crossed arms, and closed eyes.
He began sweating not knowing what to do, he says in an awkward voice.
“…. Okay……”
“Well good luck to you”
….
Why is she ignoring me? What did I do?
He frustratedly walked towards the exit of the cave, with every person following behind him.

She had fallen asleep standing while waiting.

Many Minutes passed by and there it was something began forming itself in the air before her.
A starry sky, a gate formed there, and a person walked out of it, Kage.
He stepped through the void and the gate closed behind him.
“Did everybody finally leave?
Okay, then let´s get going.”
As he turned his body to the exit, something appeared in his vision. A person standing before him.
There she was standing silently right before him.
“Eh…”

He started walking towards the exit, shifting his gaze away from her, but she started following him.

As he kept on walking faster and faster so did she.
After a few steps he stops and asks her a simple question.
“Why are you following me?”

As she looked at him confused, she replied:
“Curiosity?”
Why are you asking me?
“Haaa.”
He continued walking towards the end as he asked her.
* How long are you going to follow me?
“Long.”
He turned his head and looked at her directly in the face as he looked at her with a pissed face.
“Where are you headed?” she asks while walking behind him.
“I don´t have a destination yet.”
“hmmmm”
Almost outside the Dungeon.
Hm. What´s this green liquid? Is it some naturally formed liquid?
Never mind let´s get out.
…
Looks like the Holy knights and adventurers already left.
That´s good I don´t need to sneak around anymore.
But there is one thing that keeps following me for some reason, he looks back on his shoulder and a girl named Yuki stands behind him.
This might be bad; I plan to travel alone but if she keeps on following be….
“Haaaaa…”
I thought of trying to run away, but…
She is strong, I can´t exactly tell how strong she is but she is miles away from me, that’s what my instincts are telling me, but why is she following me? If she is so strong there should be no need to follow someone as weak as me for her.
HA? Could it be she is here to kill me? No that makes no sense, she could have already done so.
“Never mind, let´s keep on moving.”

A couple minutes later under a tree, taking a break.
Ever since that day. Arghh, I always feel a heavy pain in my heart and my head starts aching when I try thinking back about what happened.
What happened there? I can´t remember anything? Where am I? Why was I left there all alone? What is my purpose of being here? Who am I? Why am I alive…...?

As his thoughts kept on getting clouded by shadow. A voice sounded deep within him.
* “Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, KILL THEM ALL!!!!
“Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh”
“Are you okay, you are sweating all lot, even through the mask, how is that even possible?
Did you have a nightmare?”
He kept looking into her eyes.
What is this voice inside me that keeps telling me what to do? Whenever I encounter a shadow beast, the voice within me keeps telling me to kill.
…
I need to find out where I am and who I´m, to be able to start moving forward.
“You don’t need to worry about me, I´m fine.”
“People that say they are fine, are the ones hurting the most inside.”
…
He keeps silent and continues their journey.
A while later they find a stream of water.
Yuki kneels next to it and takes a sip of water, further down the stream there stands Kage.
“Your armor is all bloody and full of cuts, they look like a rag. You should wash yourself.”
He tilts his head towards her who kneels at the river looking directly at him.
“Haa, I guess you are right.”
He takes a deep breath and let´s it out shortly. The flaming black armor that made him look like a Monster started melting together into some kind of black and purple metal, but it shortly disappeared into the void. Only the mask remained on him. Underneath the armor he wore clothing a martial artist would wear, the clothing was black and white, with a symbol on its back, a white circle, within a dragon covered in raging white flames.
He unclothes his top and continues to wash up his body.
-His body was cut so many times during the battle, but nothing remained, not even a scar. His body doesn´t seem all that well trained, it´s would be more appropriate to call him skinny, but he was able to exert so much strength with almost no training at all? He might be the biggest genius of this place; he might even be able to compete on their level.
“This can´t be used anymore” he holds his ragged clothes in his hands.
-Abyssal Nexus
What is he doing? Is he pouring his energy into the cloth what is he planning to do?
His clothes began glowing in purple and turned into purple liquid flying in the air. The Liquid started to form itself into something again, and it just flowed onto him and then turned into the same clothes he was wearing.
What did he do? Did he just reconstruct his clothes anew? And what is that ominous black energy he keeps on using? Is it Black magic, not maybe shadow magic. No, that´s not it either is he using a completely new type of magic? Did he create his own magic???
…
“By the way where are we headed, Kage?”
“I don´t know, I don´t even know where we are.”
…
The silence got so loud that the girl, Yuki couldn´t do anything but stare at him, as he kept on walking.
She stopped walking and asked,” So have we been walking around the same place the entire time?” She said in a questioning voice.
“Didn´t I say, I don´t have a destination yet.”
…
The silence only kept on getting louder.
“So do you know where the nearest town is girl?”
“I do, why are you calling me girl, I have a name.”
“Where?”
…
“Do you like ignoring people?” she said with the same voice as always.
…
“Just follow me I know I Town near to this place.”
“Understood.”
“Do you never take of your mask?”
“I don´t know who might come after me so I just always wear it.”
“Understood.”
“So, what is this town called?”
“Understood.”
“Are you copying me?”
“Under- “

Nacht a Town on the borders of four Kingdoms, not part of any kingdom. It is a ruthless place where the worst of the worst people gather. This place was once a thriving town in the past, but after the appearance of the mysterious land, Nymeris the cursed land, where otherworldly mystical beings appeared one day. The Nymeris Kingdom is inhabitable by human’s people say, the deeper you go into it the more powerful the Mystical Monsters get. Even the strongest people among humanity dare not set foot in there carelessly. Nacht is a Town that is closes to this Kingdom, it is exactly located at the borders four Kingdoms- Thaloria the land of Demi humans in the South, Valandor the land of Dungeons in the East, Drakoria the land of Dragons in the north and finally in the middle of the Continent the Nymeris the cursed land. There is one other Kingdom in the West but that Kingdom doesn´t share borders with this Town. The Town is still on the borders of Valandor, but the state declared that they would give up on the Town because of the expanding Kingdom of Nymeris.
-and so that´s where we are, Kage.
The whole atmosphere was all foggy and swampy, the trees seemed dead just like the trees on the Nymeris Kingdom. The Walls looks like there are millenniums old, crumbling to the ground, but why would she bring us to such a backwater village? It would have been better to just go back to the Capital city Eryndor, but the knights might bring the whole town into turmoil because of my appearance so it´s actually better that we came to a backwater Town like this.
-did she actually think this far ahead?
I should thank her.
On the side of the road there stood broken lanterns lightning up the road a bit.
“Let´s go it´s already sunset, we should hurry and find a place to sleep.”- she said.
“You want to sleep in a Town like this?”
After those words, the wood used for building a house that was located outside the actual Town, crumbled to the ground.
Both looked at the crumbled down house as he asked her confused.
* You sure you want to sleep here; we will be buried to death.
She replied unsure.
* The houses inside are build better……. probably, she added silently.
“Are you coming Kage?”
He intensively looked at something in the swamp on the right side of the road.
“Yeah I´m coming.”
…
What was that? I felt something strange there.
…
Before the Gate of Nacht.
Crows flew off a wood board on the side of the road.
On the board there was something written with blood.
* The Place closes to Hell.
