Chapter 12 – The fallen Gate
The Holy Knights and Adventures continued to dive deeper into the Dungeon.
“What is happening? The neon green liquid started emitting some kind of strange mana! W- Woahh an earthquake,” the adventurers and Knights shouted outload.
“Wh- What the hell is happening here?”
“Maintain Formation and continue going deeper”, the captain ordered everyone.
“Yes, Sir!”
Deeper in the Dungeon.
An earthquake? This is coming from the center of the Dungeon. What is happening there, Black Tear? – the girl thought to herself.
At the deepest point in the Dungeon
The 3 flying crystals in the air began emitting a strange green mana.
These crystals weren´t here to keep someone out, but to prevent anything inside to ever come out.
The two crystals on the side were smaller than the one in the middle.
-crack…crack..
The outer shell of the crystals began falling apart and from it there appeared a being threatening the safety of the world.
They will be remembered as Left and Right guardian of the Shadow far into the future.
One would describe them as God himself as these guardians descended to the ground. Two Knights in white armor, covering their entire body. This entire being was covered in neon green and blue flames, emitting from his face, hands and a long katana nodachi.
The Moment they reached the ground, one could feel death, by simply sharing the same air as them.
Crack….
Something above began cracking, but the left and right guardian only paid attention to the being in front of them, the Black Tear.
The two guardians drew their nodachi´s.
After them the Monster began moving to and a voice sounded through the entire room.
- “Abyssal Nexus”
A sword began forming in his hand, first the handle in his palm then the black metal melted together piece by piece as the metal kept appearing out of the void.
He created a new sword, a katana …… no, a nodachi even sharper than the ones his enemies carry.
As he lowered his hips to the ground, kneeling on the ground, he swung his sword in his right hand to the back preparing to strike his foes.
He slowly lifted his left hand from the ground and placed it before him, the Palm away from his body, index finger up, thumb to the left and the remaining fingers on the palm. He whispered – “Dark Qi application”.
His Body covered in black flames of armor now start emitting purple aura, strengthen each muscle fiber of his body.
The Guardian put up their guard.
The Black Tear took a deep breath and let out his breath shortly, creating a purple smokescreen.
But nothing happened afterwards and as the spoke was about to be lifted.
A sound of cracking appeared on the roof of the room.

The Guardians tried to fixate their vision on the moving object, but it was too fast.
After each step leaving behind cracks in the roof, it had already reached the place above the guardians.
It stopped for not even a second and pushed himself of the roof, leaving behind the whole roof cracked, debris of rocks began falling. That Monster now dashed with full speed towards the guardians.
The Guardians prepared for the impact, but they shortly realized something, they weren´t his targets.
The Monster closed in on the remaining crystal in the middle and swung his nodachi downwards as he flew through the crystal splitting it apart in the middle.
He landed on his feet, the purple aura had formed a purple cape around him, as well as his eyes and mouth began glowing in purple too. He slowly turned his face to the Guardians, as the guards shivered in anger he informed them mockingly.
* Only an Idiot wouldn´t go for the main guardian, dumbass.
As those words fell out of his mouth, the crystal smashed into the ground behind him, as well as the debris from the roof started reaching the ground.
The Guardians rushed towards that Monster in anger, combining their swords, creating a green and blue flame behind there sword as there aimed for that Monster.
But that Monster only lifted his hand, with his sword to deflect both their attacks creating a strong impact in the room. They were both deflected and got smashed against the wall behind him.
The Guardians bodies began shivering, but the still stood up tightly holding there blades as they dashed towards Black Tear.
It looked like they simply ran past him, but that wasn´t the reality of things, they stopped moving a few steps further.
There bodies began falling apart into little pieces, they had been completely cut apart.

He started walking towards the huge gate.
Each of his steps felt heavy.
Suddenly he stopped and looked back to where he came from.
Waiting for a few seconds he still investigated that direction.
And there it was, fast steps rushed towards him and the beautiful white-haired girl from last night appeared at the entrance.
She slowly walked towards him, as he continued looking confused at her, shortly after she was already standing in front of him.
She checked out the battle scene behind him and shortly afterwards she mentioned – “The Holy Knights are coming.”
He immediately understood what she wanted to say, the Holy Knights were an order that would fight every evil in this world and with his appearance he would likely be considered one too.
He looked at her with sad eyes yet filled with anger.
- “I still have something to do here.”
As those words left his lips, the two huge stone statues outside the gate began to crumble together and a crack formed across the gate.
The one inside, sealed for millenniums was about to be released, a being once feared by the entire world was short before it could once again place his foot on this land.
As the gate continued to crack apart, there was shadow energy leaking out of the cracks and the whole gate soon feel apart.
The Dust filled the entire area, but as the dust slowly lifted itself one could hear the sound of a heartbeat.
Something had awakened, something that shouldn´t be awake.
A dark figure in the air behind the lifting dust appeared, wings as long as trees, a black crown levitating above his head, dark and purple tattoos all over his back and arms, he only wore a white rag on his hips.
His white hair reaching his chin as he looked down on the ground, as he throws back his hair and as he straightens his hair back with his hands he looks straight into the eyes of Black Tear, his red eyes glowed godly as he unleashed his presence.
This was nothing like he had ever faced before, that being before him couldn´t possibly be human.
-It must be a god.
“THAT IS A SERVANT OF A DEVIL!! KILL HIM HOLY KNIGHTS!”
What? The Holy knights already reached this far? What are they doing here they are all going to die! – the white-haired girl thought to herself.
The 12 Rank Captain took a look around in the cave and he met eyes with it.
“A FALLEN ANGEL!!!”
The one called a fallen angel said in a godly voice, -“How foolish.”
He raised his hand and points his index finger towards the approaching army.
The energy gathered on his fingertip and a gold-purple mana ball created itself.
- “See you in Hell”
The gold-purple Mana quickly turned into red mana.
-“Flourishing Death!”
The Moment he released that compromised energy, the impact of a worldly catastrophe flash of wind hit everyone.
As the Black Tear looked at the incoming impact, he grabbed the girl at her arm and disappeared.

The Technique tore through every person in the radius. Leaving a large crater behind.
The remaining adventures and Holy Knights were faced with a true Monster.
“What are the casualties, second in command?”
“About half of our forces died…..”
After those words, the captains face turned black, filled with despair.
“where did that girl and that….. black being go?
“They were the ones who were the closes to that being so they likely died, captain!”

A sound of clashing swords filled the room.
“That’s were that Fallen Angel is! Who is fighting it?”
I can´t see because of the dust.
Every surviving person began noticing the sounds of the swords, they started paying attention in the direction covered in dust.
But as the dust slowly lifted, it became clearer and clearer, the origin of that sound.
Two beings clashing swords.
The sight of two true Monsters clashing all out, was straight out of hell.
“Tha- That one is the rumored Black Tear isn´t it?”
“You are right, now that you say that I recognize it too.”
Black Tear? That rumored black tear that appeared one year ago wandering the world aimlessly?
“What´s wrong captain? “
“Protect the Soldiers, second in command! I´m going to help him!”
The second in command looked confused but understood shortly afterwards.
“What? The captain is going to help that Monster? I thought the church would definitely want to exterminate such a dark being.”
“Maybe we had the wrong idea about that Black Tear?”

As the captain walked closer to the battlefield, the white haired girl stood on the side watching the fight. He stopped besides her and started looking at her.
“I see…”
“He wants to deal with it himself?”
The girl nodded her head.
Both were looking at the scene before them.
Some thought this was a battle of God´s or Monsters.
But two people were able to understand the true meaning behind this battle.
It was something very important for him, then only if he wins could he have a lighter heart.

When I first heard about this Black Tear around a year ago, I didn´t think much of it.
But as time kept going forward, I started hearing this name more often and a holy council was ordered by the 10th Rank Holy Knight.
I, as the 12th Rank Knight and the 11th ranking knight attended the meeting of the 10th order.
Every word of your superior must always carefully be considered, that is why the 11th and 12th ranking Knight needs to attend the meeting.
The ones that rank higher than the 10th didn´t even consider this meeting, as they deemed him unworthy, this is how the Church operated.
In the meeting he kept on spouting that we need to eliminate this evil being, but I ended up declining his offer.
And I was right to do so, because that “Monster” fighting in front of me is the one protecting me.
“Shall we see this fight to the end?!?”
