Bloodbornes: a species of humanoid creatures capable of manipulating their own blood for various uses.

As the world gained knowledge of the existence of such species, few can actually stop them from overrunning the world. Those who are capable of stopping these “creatures” were known as Borne-hunters. They wield extreme resistance towards blood-based weapons and are able to excrete pheromones which are capable at both shutting down and destroying the immune system of the bloodbornes. Without the most natural defenses against pathogens, they are easily weakened to a state where they get severely crippled in terms of combat abilities. Facing off against the hunters, even a child may be able to discern who would win in a 1 on 1 battle.

Although several weeks passed, the panic still remained quite alive among the citizens. Every night, fear of being consumed and devoured by a bloodborne plagued the minds of the residents. Paranoids even exclaimed that, “it’s the end of the world”, though country leaders started denying such claims and called them paranoia, although the question of whether the apocalypse is arriving still remained.

Day after day, more and more people are turned into borne-food. Presidents, Prime Ministers... every government’s highest authority tries to swat away such news. Clearly though, it didn’t even ease any of the existing paranoia. In fact, it indicated that even they can’t seem to reduce the tragedies let alone stop these cases from happening.

Though no longer than 3 months after the existence of Bloodbornes have been found out, an NGO formed. Consisting of mainly Borne-hunters, their aim were to hunt and reduce the number of bloodbornes, thereby reducing the chances of mankind being completely consumed by them. The founders, not one, but three, were known as saviors after their first act of rescuing victims from bloodbornes. Word spread after that, causing a ray of hope to finally shine once again onto the deep, dark world. And soon, the organization began expanding by using the resources received from every government in the world.
