**WARNING** Fire

The next morning Eternus and Sage walk through the city, to the school to see how they could enroll. [Sage]: Do you think we’ll be in the same class, i don't wanna be too far from you. [Eternus]: maybe, but even if we’re in different classes you don’t need to be scared, if anything happens I'll be there as fast as I can. Sage hugs Eternus and they towards the school. When they walk inside they see students talking in the halls and waiting outside for class to start. The school itself looks like a miniature castle, at least 5 stories high, with fountains outside the main building. As the two of them walk through the entrance suddenly eyes from nearly every student are on them. Sage clings closer to Eternus, obviously scared from all the attention Sage whispers. [Sage]: Can we hurry..? Eternus nods and they walk faster to the entrance. When they reach the entrance They walk around for a while exploring the school while trying to find who they talk to to enroll. [Sage]: Eternus, what are we looking for? [Eternus]: Whoever's in charge i guess. [Sage]: Maybe we should ask someone? Eternus sighs. [Eternus]: Yeah, come on, we’ll ask one of the students. [Sage]: OK… Eternus and Sage look around for a while until they run into a boy sitting on a bench alone reading. Eternus and Sage walk up to the boy [Eternus]: Hey… The boy turns his head to face Eternus and Sage then closes his book. [Boy]: Hey… The three of them stand there in silence for a while, staring at each other. [Eternus]: So… who's in charge here? [Boy]: In charge? Do you mean the Grand Magnus? [Eternus]: Is he like the headmaster here? [Boy]: Yeah, he runs the place. [Eternus]: Then yeah, him, me, and my sister need to speak with him, we’re thinking of enrolling. The boy stands up and puts his hand out. [Samuel]: My name’s Samuel, How about you? [Eternus]: I'm Eternus, and this is my sister, Sage. [Sage]: Hi… Eternus shakes Samules hand. [Eternus]: So can you take us to this “Grand Magnus”? [Samuel]: Sure, follow me. Eternus and Sage follow Samuel as he leads them to the Grand Magnus. As they walk to the Grand Magnus’s office Eternus starts to realize just how big the school really is. At every turn, there's a hallway with what seems to be hundreds of doors. When they reach the Grand Magnus’s room Samuel turns around to leave. [Samuel]: Class is gonna start soon so I gotta go, I'll see you two later. Eternus nods and Samuel leaves as Sage waves goodbye. Eternus grips Sage’s hand and they walk into the office. [Eternus]: Hello..? Is anyone in here? Silence fills the room for a moment before the blue stone on Eternus’s wrist glows dimly and then suddenly a man appears in front of them. [Grand Magnus]: Hello children, what brings you? [Eternus]: Hi… Me and my sister had a few questions about the school. [Grand magnus]: Very well, Sit. The Grand Magnus snaps his fingers and a desk and 3 chairs appear in the middle of the room. Sage and Eternus sit in the chairs across from the Grand Magnus. [Grand Magnus]: I do hope it wasn't too much trouble finding my office, I know It’s not in the most obvious place. [Eternus]: it's fine… Someone Helped us. [Grand Magnus]: That's good, so, what questions do you have? [Eternus]: Well, we came to ask if- [Sage]: Can we go to school here? [Eternus]: Sage, let me do the talking… Sage looks down. [Sage]: OK… Eternus turns back to the grand Magnus. [Eternus]: But yeah, that's about what we wanted. The Grand Magnus looks at the two of them for a while before standing up. [Grand Magnus]: Well, I don't normally do this, but I suppose I could evaluate the two of you, If you pass I'll allow you in, and only make you pay a portion of the fee. Sage and Eternus nod and the Grand Magnus places 2 pens and 2 sheets of paper. Eternus looks over the paper and reads the questions But one sticks out to him “ 6. How capable are you at using Astrum?” Eternus leaves that question blank. [Grand Magnus]: once you’re finished come to me so I can test your Aetheria Levels. Sage whispers [Sage]: What’s that..? Eternus whispers back to her [Eternus]: Don’t mind that Sage, This old man seems kinda dumb. [Sage]: Ok… Eternus and Sage spend the next 𝟏𝟓 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬 taking their assessments. Once they’re done the Grand Magnus takes up the assessments and pulls out a book, then he flips it open to 2 empty pages. [Grand Magnus]: Place a hand on one of the blank pages. Sage, you first. Sage hesitantly places a hand on the book and immediately the page begins glowing. Eternus stands up slightly and the stone on his wrist glows. [Eternus]: The hell are you doing..? [Grand Magnus]: Don’t worry child, no harm will come of your sister, this is just a necessary part of the enrollment. [Eternus]: If anything happens to her ill burn this damn place to the ground you hear me… [Grand Magnus]: Yes, Yes, I understand, no need to worry. Eternus calms down and sits back down, the blue stone on his wrist still glowing. After a while Some numbers along with Sage's name on the pages book. The Grand Magnus Reads off the page and smiles. [Grand Magnus]: 45 is quite high for a girl of your age. [Sage]: Really? Sage smiles brightly at the thought of her being considered special. [Grand Magnus]: Really, you may turn out to be a fine Arcane Sorceresses. the Grand Magnus turns to Eternus and puts the book out to him. Eternus sighs and tries to put his hand on the page. When his hand is almost on the page the blue stone on his wrist starts glowing and it pushes his hand, or more so itself away from the book. The grand Magnus raises an eyebrow and pulls away the book [Grand Magnus]: Child, Where did you get that stone? [Eternus]: i… Found it, Why? [Grand Magnus]: No reason, try your other hand. Eternus sighs and nods. [Eternus]: Alright… The Grand Magnus puts the book out in front of him and Eternus places his left hand on the book and they wait for the results. Once it finishes the Grand Magnus reads off the results. [Grand Magnus]: 80? That's quite exceptional for a boy your age, it's almost double the average amount. [Eternus]: I don’t know what Aetheria so I don’t care about what you’re saying. The Grand Magnus raises an eyebrow and closes the book. [Grand Magnus]: Is that right? most parents teach their children the basics when they’re still quite young, and what of the blue stone you bear on your wrist? it must have some Astric properties. [Eternus]: Sage, do you have any idea what he's talking about? Sage shakes her head. [Sage]: Nuh uh, no clue at all. Eternus sighs and puts his hand out. [Eternus]: Listen, old man, if you wanna take a look at it or something be my guest, but just hurry and tell us how much it is to enroll here. [Grand Magnus]: That would be quite wonderful child, but there was never a fee, I only said that so you would have no reason to lie on any of the questions, The only requirement was you pass the assessment and have at least the average Aethena levels. Eternus whispers under his breath cursing the Grand Magnus then sighs. [Eternus]: Hurry up and do whatever inspection you wanna do. The Grand Magnus takes Eternus’s hand and begins trying to inspect the stone and the bracelet-like holder it's in. [Grand Magnus]: Could you take it off child? [Eternus]: Nope, won't come off, I tried it first thing this morning. [Grand Magnus]: Hmm… Well, I guess that’s all for this examination. The Grand Magnus stands up and snaps his fingers, removing the chairs from the room. [Grand magnus]: Seeing as neither of you seems to know how to use Astrum I'll place you both in the beginner classes for your ages respectively. [Sage]: What, No! I don't wanna leave my brother. [Grand Magnus]: I'm sorry girl but the rules are set, and I cannot bend them over such a small request. [Sage]: But- [Eternus]: Sage, it’ll be fine, don't worry. Eternus hugs Sage and then turns back to the Grand Magnus. [Eternus]: There has to be something we can do to stay together. The Grand Magnus looks at the stone on Eternus’s wrist [Grand Magnus]: Mentioned you don’t have any prior knowledge of Astrum, correct? [Eternus]: Yeah, so what? [Grand Magnus]: It would be impossible for that stone on your wrist to stay on if you weren’t feeding it Atheria, or in other words, using Astrum. [Eternus]: What are you saying..? [Grand Magnus]: Seeing as your Atheria levels are so high for your age, it wouldn’t be uncommon for Atheria to lek out of your body and for you to subconsciously use Astrum. [Eternus]: What are you trying to say, old man? [Grand Magnus]: What I'm saying is that your body is already accustomed to using Astrum, Meaning that with even the slightest instructions, you should be able to use the basics. Eternus takes a pebble out of his pocket and sets it on fire. [Eternus]: Is this what you meant? Surprised, The Grand Magnus puts out his fire.

[Eternus]:.. How many shots do I get..? [Grand Magnus]: 4 shots, if you miss twice you’re done. Eternus nods and takes out 4 pebbles, setting one on fire and throwing it to the dummy. The second the rock touches the dummy it incinerates. Before Eternus can throw a second the dummies disappear and the Grand Magnus applauds Eternus. [Grand Magnus]: Well done child. [Eternus]: I still had 3 more… [Grand Magnus]: I was only judging your basic use of Astrum, Nothing more. Eternus cursed The Grand Magnus under his breath [Eternus]: Damn old man… [Grand Magnus]: What was that child? I didn’t quite hear you. [Eternus]: Nothing… The Grand Magnus turns to Sage [Grand Magnus]: Sage, can you use Astrum as well? [Sage]: I don't know how… [Grand magnus]: Interesting… [Grand Magnus]: Well, it seems you’re more advanced than I thought, your work may not be pretty but you pack quite the punch. [Sage]: So can we stay together..? The Grand Magnus Sighs and then points to the two of them and then 2 pieces of paper fly into their hands. [Grand Magnus]: These are your schedules, dont lose them as I will not provide more. Eternus and Sage nod. [Grand Magnus]: Eternus is more advanced than I thought so the longest I can let him Stay in your classes is a week, just to allow him to learn how to shape his Aetheria better, But once he's done that unless you’ve advanced to the next class you’ll be separated until then. [Sage]: Thank you! Sage hugs Eternus as Eternus stares at the Grand Magnus. [Grand Magnus]: Your classes have already started, You’re lucky classes only started today, your teacher may go easy on you for being late. [Sage]: We saw kids coming out of here yesterday though..? [Grand Magnus]: Ah, you must have seen the children leaving after the assessments and Aetheria examinations, We examine children a day before classes start, you two were just a… special case. The Grand Magnus opens the door. [Granda Magnus]: Go to the Ignis Novice Class, there you’ll become more proficient in shaping flames. [Eternus]: How long do we have to be here for? you’ll spend 𝟖 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐚 𝐝𝐚𝐲 here, you’ll spend 𝟑 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 in your classes, 𝟑 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 for free time or Lunch in the school cafe, and 𝟐 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 in Extracurricular. You can use your free time for either extra class work or you’re allowed to leave campus as long as you return before the last 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫 of the free period. [Eternus]: Alright, well we’ll be going then… [Sage]: Bye-bye!
