A sudden light appeared.

Alicia's body started feeling hot and she could feel some sort of weak electricity run through her whole body while light started surrounding her. The light was forming a new outfit which covered her regular clothes in a way that they could not be seen at all. It was a white outfit with golden outlines and green decorations that someone from distance would think belongs to a wealthy cosplayer obsessed with her favorite cartoon. After her transformation was completed she felt different. As if some unusual energy was constantly flowing through her and she was getting filled with unusual sensation of joy and hope. While she was amidst confusion a weird floating cat appeared on her back.

"Hiiiiiii Alicia!" The cat said, its voice was full of energy and happiness.

"W...What are you?!" Alicia asked in panic while turning around on instinct.

" I guess there is no time for that now. You want to save your mother right? Let's do that first and then go over the details. Put your hands above her wound and think about healing her. Think of it desperately and put both your will and hope into it. Try thinking about redirecting the magic flowing through you and you have a chance at letting her slip this time." The cat said while trying to back its explanation with hand movements. Alicia was a bit surprised by the things the can said but she quickly reclaimed her composure and quickly followed the instructions. Upon doing so she could feel the power started circulating through her body with her hands as export point. The hands got really warm and a kind and gentle green light started glowing out of her hands and slowly patching up her mother's wounds. Seeing her mother slowly getting better and better made Alicia tear up and start crying again but less since she had to focus on keeping her mother alive. As the wounds started patching her mother's breath started stabilizing and she stopped being so pale.

" Great! It is time to move to step two. Now try focusing the power on your whole body with the image of transformation"

"Am I not transformed already? Look at this ridiculous outfit" Alicia replied as she was holding and showing her miniskirt to floating cat. The cat seemed not to give a shit though.

" You are currently only transformed partially. You neither have full powers, protection nor mask that protects your identity. The mask is metaphorical just so you know. Your hair and face will have a new look so your identity can be kept a secret. It is a part of our privacy policy."

"Uhhh... Alright.... I guess" Alicia replied with a bit of confusion in her mind but the cat helped in saving her mother so she felt as if she owed the cat to at least try do so. After trying to focus her mind of transformation another light surrounded her, this time it was very bright and had a golden color. She felt her body getting very hot and the transformation began. Her hair turned silver and her eyes turned blue. Now she felt those emotions get amplified by a lot and the energy became strong.

" I am quite good at this am I not?" Alicia said , complimenting herself, while looking at her new outfit. This time she felt as if the outfit was actually pretty but was still embarrassed a bit.

" Maybe because it is meant to be easy. It would be no good if we had to teach magical girls how to transform in the time of need. That is how you lose a head my dear Alicia." Cat replied unfazed by Alicia's words. Alicia pouted since she felt as if she is taken for a fool so cat tried not to drag it out much longer.

" Alright. Time to go to the next step. Imagine a magical wand manifesting out of your hand. Every magical girl needs a weapon to take a meanie out."

Alicia was taken back by those words

"Wait! You want me to fight with THAT!"

"Don't worry honey. Just try to focus energy in a want and shoot it down with a laser." Cat said

"WITH WHAT!?" Alicia replied

" Just do as I as so we can get over this" Cat said without shoving a lot of care. Alicia realized she got entangled in something troublesome but the situation was dire enough for her to try anything. Fortunately for her, just as the rest of her powers, forming the staff was quite east. It was a golden stick with star on top. Considering all the things she already found out about her powers she already knew what she was to do. She focused her will into the staff with intention of making a destructive beam and it worked. She thought to herself that it is quite handy that the powers she was bestowed are quite easy to use. If she was to rely on her knowledge about magic it would probably take years to learn the most basic of the tricks. The beam was extremely large and it hit the monster from back ,taking it by surprise and making it fall over on its back. Once she saw that she the adrenalin in her blood started pumping at incredible speeds and she jumped. Upon jumping she actually started floating but she was not surprised at all and instead focused finishing blow on the monster's belly. This time the laser was even bigger and it blaster Alicia away. Upon hitting the monster it split what is left of it in half and it started to slowly turn into ashes and disappear. The mall cops, and later reinforcements along with ambulances that came, started digging out and bringing wounded out of the mall. Once they were checking on a place where the stairs collapsed they found Alicia and her mother with light bruises. Alicia's mother started waking up and once she saw her daughter laying next to her uninjured she started crying and hugging her as the police escorted them.

Upon waking up Alicia found herself in her bedroom. And on top of her was the cat that helped her.

"You awake girl?" The cat said

"I guess" Alicia replied "But can you explain what happened"

" Well let me see where to start. My name is Ponn and I am a magical spirit. What you saw was a monster made of darkness called ghull. There are evil Gods who feed of negative emotions and chaos. They were sealed for a long time by Gods of light but the seals weakened and they started to influence reality and make contract with people to spread their influence and eventually break free. If they break free they will ruin the world so us spirits are sent to find suitable host to fight them. Ideal ones are female teenagers since they are going through a stronger and earlier puberty than males do. Since you entered a contract with me you will have to eliminate the threats that feed on evil until you finish with your high school. I know it seems difficult for you to find out you have to find out you suddenly have to devout your youth to fight but if people such as you refuse this world is headed to ruin." The cat explained to Alicia while trying to make it somewhat entertaining to listen.

"What did you just drop at me?" Alicia replied. Her brain started to hurt because of all the information she just received and the smoke started coming out of her head.

"Relax. You deserve it after all you went through. It seems your power is that of life. You have extremely amplified healing which is why that woman is still happily cooking outside. You also have a good connection with other living things , especially plants, and you can control them to some extent. Of course once you master your powers you will be able to do things on a whole another level but for now lets just go easy. Rest these days and when school starts we can start searching for your allies. Being in a group can help you eliminate stronger monsters and learn to use your powers better. Just remember that your emotions are one of main sources of your powers. The stronger the feelings the stronger the output and your body has quite a good potential."

After the conversation Alicia went out of her room and climbed downstairs to kitchen where her mother was preparing food.

"Oh Alicia! You finally woke up. I prepared a feast for you since you must be hungry. You were asleep for quite some time after all." Her mother said. They then sat down and started the meal. Alicia was quietly eating while thinking about everything that happened and tried to wrap it all up. It seemed to her like she won't be able to take a break from action in her high school life. Her powers can save a lot of people but what if she fails and people get hurt? Was there a better choice that her? A lot of things started to trouble her and made her quite anxious.

"You got a lot going on now. You should rest these days and everything will sort out." Her mother said. She tried to be as supportive of her daughter as possible. What happened was a accident that could've caused life changing permanent injuries and they both managed to get away by sheer luck.

"Mom"

"Yes honey"

"Can I go outside? I want to clear my head a bit" Alicia asked. Her mother was a bit worried and hesitant to reply. What if something like that happens again. She might lose her only child she cherished for so long. The anxiety only grew larger.

"Alright. But promise me to be very careful. I do not want you to do anything reckless or go near crowded places okay?"

"Okay. Thanks mom" She said as she hugged her mother and left her house. As she was walking on the streets she suddenly bumped on a weird energetic girl. Upon their bodies touching she felt weird sensation. It was the same sensation she had when she was transformed and magic was flowing through her body but far weaker. Ponn appeared on her back once again. This time he was in quite a good mood.

"What a lucky day is today. It seems we found one already."
