My dear Rion,
If you’re reading this, it means that things have taken a turn for the worse, and I’m no longer with you. I want you to know that I believed in you and your ideals, even if I couldn’t fully embrace them myself. But I also feared the retaliation of the powerful families we’ve been challenging, and so I prepared for the worst.
This cave you find yourself in is a place of great significance—a forbidden area of Granite Cave, where only the bravest or most foolish trainers dare venture. It’s guarded by an ancient Mega Medicham, whose power rivals that of a champion’s Pokémon. Many years ago, when I was younger and more reckless, I stumbled upon this place. By some stroke of fate, I befriended the tribe that lives here. My own Medicham comes from this very cave.
The Medicham tribe has agreed to protect you. They’ll keep you safe within these walls until the storm outside calms down. The ancient Mega Medicham has offered you a single favor: it will teleport you to any place within its known range, which includes all of Hoenn, the vast majority of Johto, Orre, and the islands of Alola. Use this option wisely, as you’ll only get one chance.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
I know you have dreams of changing the world, but you must be more careful now. The families we’ve been dealing with won’t hesitate to crush anyone who threatens their power. You must build your own strength—become someone they can’t ignore or overpower. Only then will you be able to truly make a difference.
Inside the tent, you’ll find supplies that should last you until you’re old enough to venture into the wilds as a legal trainer. You’ll also find a few unregistered Pokéballs. I suggest you start building your own team, perhaps even find some allies among the Pokémon in this cave. Trust in your instincts, Rion, and don’t let your anger cloud your judgment. Revenge might seem sweet, but it’s a path that can consume you if you’re not careful.
No matter what happens, don’t give up on your dreams. But remember, dreams alone won’t protect you—power will. Build it, nurture it, and when the time is right, use it to carve out the future you believe in.
Stay strong, my boy. The world is cruel, but you’re stronger than you know.
With all my love and hope,
Ryker
