Chapter 20: Fast Fakadi

The battle is still raging on and the mechs are gaining advantage over them. Kofalu is battling a dinosaur looking beast with his sword in play. He stances up as the beast is lunging forward to him. As the beast is near in his proximity, he swung his sword, slashing it's chest and ambrosia leaked over.

Roar!!!!

The beast cried out to the injury it received and fury started to fill it's eyes. Kofalu had a thought popped up in his head.

'Are they really that formidable? With the exception of the first and second attack, they weren't putting more effort to this. They maybe weakened, but something isn't sitting right to me.'

Kofalu was cut off from his thoughts as the beast is standing up again amidst it's injuries and readied himself up for it's another attack. He would not to be triffled with.

Akadagi along with Havati and Arlandy are fighting a horse looking beast with sharp metal teeth in them and it was running almost sluggishly with it's metal hoofs towards them. They get out of the way as it lunges over them but not without giving it an attack.

"Akadi Palidu!!"

"Dasto Casilu!"

"Mavolo Colovati!"

Along with spark from Akadagi and lightning from Arlandy, light beams akin to a thick laser eminates from Havati's hands as they attack. Their efforts hit true and the beast started to fall over in its knees.

"Hah! Take that, you vile beast!" Akadagi exclaimed highly to the beast.

"Akadagi, we need to attack more so the beast would not take a step again. That what Sir Altor said." Havati cautiously said to him.

"Yeah, I know. So how about we end this party." He said as he lifted up his hands, magic glowing from it.

"For the first time, we agree on the same thing." Arlandy has his lightning on the ready.

Meanwhile to Altor, he is still fighting the blade arm beast. But he has a plan. He lunged forward with his sword in tow as the beast flail it's arms. He jumped at the moment and planned on his landing spot.

'Its all in one shot.' He thought as he coming down to the spot where the crack is. He swung his sword down, albeit with some clumsiness to it and slashed down.

Slash!!

It hit.... on the side of the target. He failed on that endeavor.

"No!"

The beast roared loudly as it sees the attack on its arm and it's gonna attack again, but....

Crack!

A crack appeared on the spot where Altor has hit with his sword and it connected to the crack on its side.

Crack!!!

It snapped the blade joint in two and ambrosia leaked out from it. The beast wailed in pain as it reeling from the damage done to its arm. It didn't go unnoticed by Altor who took his chance and impaled his sword to the beast immediately. It all gone in a flash and the beast has fallen down with light's on it's eyes fading. The task is done.

All the while this is happening, Kofalu is slashing down the beast into submission until...

Slash!!

He slashed the beast he was fighting in half. A valiant feat indeed. He took notice to Altor's attack there and an internal comment came in to him.

'Hm. He has strength and will but his skill is lacking. Did he ever had someone to teach him in sword skills?' Kofalu's thought as he see through Altor's battle at the close.

The three remaining mechs are still fighting but it is coming to a close. Their repeated attack are dealing a lot damage to the beast until it falls down dead.

"Whoo!! We did it! Take that, you vile beasts!" Akadagi loudly exclaimed in joy.

"I can't believe it's over." Arlandy said in relief.

They are in celebration but as Kofalu and Altor started to sheath their swords, they notice something.

"Wait, is this all the beasts? I thought they were four?" Kofalu sounded his confusion.

This confusion also dawned to Makino as he see the slain beasts and dreaded what the missing one is.

"The Fakadi. Where is it?" He asked with dread in his tone.

"Maybe it was under the rubble." Arlandy said but with uncertainty.

They scoured the rubble where the beasts emerged but they didn't see any signs of it. When they realize what was missing, they were filled with dread and immediately looked around in every direction in order for them to not be maimed by the beast. They saw what it can do before, it can do it again.

"We got so caught up by the fight, we didn't noticed it missing." Kofalu said in a dreary tone.

"I thought it was over, but now we're gonna be maimed in the end!?" Akadagi exclaimed in frustration and dread.

Everyone is getting the sense of dread around them, not knowing where the Fakadi might be and where it would attack. They waited a while but still no sign of it. This causes some tension to be deflated for some of them.

"Why it isn't attacking now? Maybe it is really killed by the rubbles. We just didn't scoured through." Akadagi said in an anxious tone.

Thud! Thud!

They heard thudding footsteps and the tension is rising again. They immediately ready themselves for the attack, but something unexpected happened.

Slash!! Roar!!!

The Fakadi lunged forward with it's claws slashing to Kofalu. He immediately guard himself with his sword but the Fakadi managed to flick it away from his grasp, disarming him.

"Argh!!!" He screamed as he was pounced down by the Fakadi, it bearing it's maw to kill.

"Kofalu!! Mavolo Colovati!!" Arlandy unleashed his lightning spell to the Fakadi, which it immediately steered away from but freeing Kofalu from it's grasp and immediately grab his sword again to arm himself.

They huddled together to prepare for it's attack and attack it did. It didn't give them time to ponder on what is happening. It dashed through them and gives them a slash, which gives light injuries.

"Argh!!!!"

They shouted in pain of the attack, but the Fakadi is relentless. It gives them multiple slashes at an alarming speed. They tried to attack, but it was too fast for them and most of them are low in energy. Only Altor and Kofalu are the ones that tried attacking with their swords but it was still too fast, even for Kofalu.

"Gah! It's relentless! It doesn't waste time to maul us. I should have expected more from these vile beasts! I'm such a fool, I can't believe I messed up again!" Altor groaned as he tried and fail to slash the beast with no avail.

Kofalu was also trying to attack the beast to no avail and hearing that comment from Altor made him think for a while on what did he experienced in the past to say those words. They are in their last legs and the Fakadi is aiming for the killing blow. It dashed forward for the kill. This is it.

Dash!!!

Something dashed the Fakadi away from them, which caught the group off guard. The Fakadi tumbled down but quickly stood up to see what hit it. They saw another beast, panther like, with it's eyes slashed over, growling at the Fakadi. This caught the amazement of the group and figuring out what is going on. The beast roared as it gearing itself to attack not the group but the Fakadi. The Fakadi doing the same as they are now preparing themselves to a fight.
