[Arc 2] Character Sheets: Nightmare Voyagers

Character: Garami

The protagonist of our stories and the Champion of Darkness. She is currently hunting for amazing Dungeon locations AND methods to stay out of trouble. The latter is something a certain goddess of evil will not allow.

She has no problems cutting down monsters or bandits, but she will have difficulties saying no if she encounters someone in peril. This is not due to the goodness in her heart, but rather that seeing people in distress they don't deserve makes her flashback to the traumatic times when she tried to survive climbing up the lower floors of the "Water-Knot of Glavras" Dungeon. She also tries not to reveal her trauma to people.

The reason for Garami's desire for a Dungeon comes equally from the fact it would be a great income source as she finds the sound of being a "Dungeon Master" to be "super cool!!". She never fully grew up from her "Eighth-Grader Syndrome".

Appearance:

Garami is a white-haired, pale-skinned albino humanoid demon. A pair of black demon horns and a demon tail prevent her from being confused for a human. Her eyes are a strange combination of purple and red that leans more to the former.

She is dressed in leather armor and a cloak, with fingerless gloves that offer some degree of protection without hindering her fingers' dexterity. She prefers wearing her Nightmare Demon Accessory as a blindfold when she does not need it as a different type of accessory. Speaking of which, her Nightmare Demon Outfit item is on the frits due to her recent growth spurt, so she has to rely on common items as a replacement for the moment.

Garami's skill build can be called an "Arcane Rogue". She uses magic and other mystical skills to enhance her main class' usage of stealth and assassination—the latter preferably through using traps, which she enhances through the usage of poisons and webs.

Her favorite tactic is guerilla warfare where she torments her target with traps and Evil Eye effects while running away or relying on stealth. In short, she fights dirty.

Character: Mira Aureola

A humanoid spirit who was born and raised Solomarian (until she fled the place during the night). Mira acts as the right-hand swordswoman of Garami, doubling both as a bodyguard and as a free-loader.

Her father died while she was young, forcing Mira to survive in the unkind slum district of Solomar until she was picked up and placed in an orphanage sponsored by the local branch of the Adventurers' Union. The rough times forced Mira to grow up to become tough and cold, but after fleeing the city, her frozen heart started to gradually melt.

The finishing touches were adventuring with Garami, someone who people could say had survived environments that were even worse than Solomar's slims. At first, Mira only worked as a sellsword. Now she works for Garami as a proper knight due to administration. Both for the demon girl's adventurous spirit, survivability skills..., and the various treasures they tend to come across during their wacky adventurers.

She loves swords and has a huge collection of many different types, Magic Swords included, that she stores in a locker rented over at the Adventurers' Union. She loves to gamble but has zero luck when it comes to the casinos. That Garami can clean the house (literally) is yet another reason why this mischievous black knight loves serving the Champion of Darkness.

After the events on Iron Isle, Mira finally reached the point of being able to evolve. Her new species, the "Brawl Glow Sprite" is a physical-focused evolution of her previous form. Other variants, such as for magic and hiding, also exist, but Mira is dedicated to the path of the sword.

Appearance:

Mira is an adult woman with a mature body that could give her a career as a model. She has long, dark blue hair that she keeps loose and reaches her waist. Her eyes are dark grey with the symbol of light in her irises, and her arms have tattoo-like markings in the same fashion as the marks in the pupils. When she gets excited, the symbols glow with a golden-yellow color.

When in combat, she dresses in simple leather armor bustier with metal gauntlets and leg guards for additional defense. The setup is cheap due to her having a more financial focus on her GIGANTIC sword collection.

"Attack is the greatest defense" is the motto of Mira's skill build. She does not have enough financial power to spend on decent armor (due to her constant purchase of new swords for her collection) so she relies on speed and destructive power to defeat the enemies before she gets done in.

Mira has started to integrate robbery and the assistance of spirits into her strategy after meeting Garami (and mushrooming her total AP count). Using the weapons of her opponents and enhancing them with her friendly cousins allows her to decrease the wear and tear on her collection. She also loves her Airgetám skill for similar reasons.

Character: Alfred "Alf" Loxley

A former human who is currently working for the Nightmare Voyagers as the voice of reason. "Former" due to him evolving after the events on Iron Isle into a rare "Primogenitor" Vampire.

On paper, it is a normal Vampire, a D-rank undead closest to the zombie line, but pretty much not that different. "Primogenitor" is a special trait only a few vampires have, and one that Alf obtained thanks to evolving while under the effects of the "Tepes Fangs" item that gave him a literal chewing during the gang's adventurers on Mayhem Island. Thanks to it, many of the Vampire-species' unique weaknesses, such as sunlight, garlic, and the need to drink blood are all negated. And they should be, considering that lethal gag item prevents you from evolving into other species!!

As for Alf himself, in the Guild, he acts as the aloof older brother who looks after everyone. He had grown tired of the apathetic townspeople back in his hometown, but Filyn and her Nequitas crew turned out to be too... "passionate" for his stomach. The Nightmare Voyagers are just the middle ground he needs and one he is willing to protect. This guy might end up obtaining the [Hero] skill one day!

But for now, he's a newborn Vampire that has problems staying out in the sun without turning into a raisin. Even when he's supposed to be sunproof!

Appearance:

Alf is a tall, young man in his early twenties, and used to have dark-brown hair, lightly tanned skin, and brown eyes with a nasty glare in them as a human. After evolving to the Vampire-species, his hair has changed tones to dark grey, his eyes have become matte ice-blue, and his complexion has turned unhealthy pale. The nasty glare is still present.

Alf's battle outfit is made of a dark grey track jacket, pants of the same color, and black boots. The clothing has matte, light-blue lines all over it as decoration. He is also wearing belts fitted with Item Pouches, mostly filled with items related to fishing.

Alf's skill build is designed around endurance. While classifiable as a tank, Alf does not take attacks with his own body, but with obstacles he creates through his skills.

For offense, Alf uses his expertise with the polearm to inflict various types of damage through his customized halberd. He is also not above using simple traps to trip his opposition if it allows him to end the fight early.

Character: Noire

A Flugel who has evolved into a "fallen angel". Despite the Celestials' racial advantage of gaining positive Karma Value, Noire's vanity has earned her the honor of evolving into one of the "Fallen" species.

She used to work for Filyn as a maid when she had just left her home, but that didn't last for long. Working for Filyn tears the person's SAN points. Then she was recruited by Blot into Nequitas. The result was just delaying the gradual depletion of sanity.

After finally quitting even that job, Noire ended up in the Nightmare Voyagers' Guild. She is constantly jealous of her Guild Master and her right-hand swordswoman due to their more "mature" bodies that attract more attention to themselves than her own. However, she finds Garami's talent in weaving to be impressive, so she keeps her envy swallowed. Not that it prevents her from getting frustrated over the two women's disinterest in fashion.

P.S., "Noire" is not her real name. She changed it using a magic item after fleeing her old place. Blot knows her real identity, but seeing too much of Filyn in the fallen angel, he has decided to stay quiet about the matter.

Appearance:

Noire is a Flugel with silver- and purple wings above her hips. As if to match, she has purple eyes and long, silver hair that she keeps in a ponytail. She has an otherworldly beauty to her features, but her personality makes people ignore it. She is also short enough to make people mistake her for a teenager.

The latest entry in Noire's fashion show is a silver vest with blue linings at the ends, detached sleeves with the same color scheme, a dark grey skirt, black knee boots, and a black chocker. There's a gap between the vest and the skirt that allows her wings to come out. Parts of the outfit have silver cross-marks fashioned after crosses decorating them, such as on the sleeves, her boots, and on the chocker.

In combat, Noire can play many roles. She can provide healing, cast supportive buffs, cancel status ailments, and supply long-range cover attacks. She can even fly, which allows her to evade most attacks by fleeing to the skies. She can even provide support before the fight by obtaining and personalizing accessory items, which each person can equip 10 off at a time.

On the other hand, she is weak in physical combat. Besides, due to her being split between attack and support, Noire is flimsy compared to a dedicated Healer or a dedicated Magic Archer. She does have the potential, however, to grow even more.

Character: Iron Tirnog

A Phantom Mail who used to live on the cursed island, Tir na Nog. While wandering around to search for a way to help his people in the village of the undead formed from one of the island's ruined districts, Iron discovered a strange band of people, one led by a certain albino demon, and the rest is history~.

While he might look scary, Iron has a heart of paper tissue. He's easy to eager yet also easy to be hurt. He just doesn't have a way to show it on his face. However, mess with his friends and you'll be shield-bashed into the next week!

Appearance:

Iron's identity is that of a ghost that possesses a dark-grey, full-plate armor that lacks any decorations, except for the draconic-looking helmet. Due to Iron's life being linked to that of the armor, it's safe to consider the armor as his body.

Iron is a man of few words and a few combat tactics. He is trying to toughen it out using his unnatural high defensive abilities, which are obtained thanks to the combination of his classes, attributes, and even his species.

Lately, however, Iron has been trying to spice things up by adding skills from the Magma attribute. He's yet to fully master them, but he is constantly on the lookout for methods to expand his ability repertoire. On this note, he shows nothing but respect for Garami's large variety of skills.

Character: Revi Darul

A former residence of Tir na Nog and one who had been forced to live there for 300 years. The toll of her extended (and undeserved) punishment caused the little dragon witch to lose all faith in humanity. Good thing a non-human demon came along and saved her~.

Due to her "condition", Revi is easy to make jealous. She is more than willing to snap at people who get too close to her savior and Guild Master. Mira is an exception, however. She gives Revi sweet candy. That dragon girl... She needs to learn her lesson soon...

Appearance:

Revi is a Dragonoid with a single dragon horn pointing upwards to prove her draconic lineage. Except for that, she looks like a normal human with jade-colored hair and eyes, the former being waist-long and messy, almost as if she is never cured of her bed hair in the mornings.

For clothing, Revi is wearing a black dress with orange belts to keep it in place, black shoes with a green gem as decoration on each of them, and a witch-hat that's decorated with a jade-green belt and an orange gem on the front. The hat is customized so her horn can stick out of it without damaging the hat.

Revi's skill build is that of a "material-using magician". She uses consumables to enhance her magic spells to a higher degree of lethality. She has also taken up cooking recently.

Due to the above-mentioned reasons, Revi has also started taking up item-collecting classes to help keep her item stocks high. As for her all-powerful [Envy] skill...she needs some more time before wanting to touch that subject again.
