087 tilted her head and gazed down at the begging vampire. His arms were pinned to the wall by two invisible spikes of force, and his mind was currently in her grip. He had acted tough and with confidence in his ability to resist, until a minute of her… interrogation had passed. After which, he couldn't get his words out fast enough.
“Please, I've told you everything I know.” His words came out between sobs of pain
He had and kept nothing back. His use was done.
“You are in violation of several state and DOSA laws. As you have cooperated, I shall give you a quick and merciful death.” She turned.
“Wait, please no—”
His neck twisted and he lived no more. 087 moved away from the corpse and out of the dirty and dank toilets. As she did, she put her mask back on. It wouldn't do for those in this establishment called a bar to see her as she was. Her projections and foresight showed that they would panic, and fear would cause a chain reaction leading her to complete an extermination of them and all surrounding life. She would prefer not to. If she did not need to kill, then she would not.
Many stared at her with lust in their eyes as she passed but a small bit of mental manipulation and they kept it at staring only. Her initial hour in the bar had been slow as many had approached in an attempt to get her to copulate with them, or so she could sense from their emotions and scent.
The street outside wasn’t busy, but she spotted a taxi, and walked over, giving the driver a beaming smile. His eyes met her and lit up. He rolled the window down. “Hello, beautiful. Need a ride?”
“Yes, please.”
“Hop in.”
087 took a seat and gave him the address. She would find this Richard Halls who had become the target for what seemed to be a city-wide hunt by the city's criminal element. That demon was responsible, and if things escalated, then he would not leave this city alive. Her hunt had not been as fruitful as she had hoped, but she was making progress. However, certain leads needed time and while she waited, she could complete other objectives to aid the local authorities. She could travel much faster than this mundane vehicle, but it helped to keep appearances. Besides, this was not her only body.

Adam shook his head as he looked down at the most recent news on the PPW. It was a total clustertfuck. DOSA was scrambling, the underground was scrambling, and there was talk of action being taken. Not to mention the fact there was an ender, and all it would take was a single order from higher-ups and the ender would swipe through this city like a scythe through wheat.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
He’d contacted Jones and told him to search carefully, and others had been pulling people back, but Vix had fucked up. Putting an open contract meant that any idiot or fool was now looking for a chance to get that cash, and they either didn't care or weren’t aware of the heat they were bringing down. Such amateurs.
It was a shock, though, that Richard Halls still hadn’t been found. With the whole city looking and divination and precogs, he’d expected to have received a call from Jones hours ago, but the fresh para was still out there. Maybe he knew and was laying low or had left, or maybe he was in DOSA custody, but if he was, they would have announced it to calm things down. Only the craziest would dare try and openly or even subtly assault DOSA. They weren't like the mundane government.
If you pushed or directly went against them you were screwed unless you were powerful enough, but such events were rare. The Prime was fairly quiet in that regard. It was a good thing too. War was bad for his business, though for many others it would be good for business. But he wasn't that sort. He collected, found, and organized information, objects, people, and anything else that paid well.

Nate walked out of the hotel, cursing his luck. The sorcerer wasn’t there, and he’d just received a call that he was wanted back at the station. Apparently, Sivelle had gone missing. Even when she wasn't with him, she was causing him problems. He was starting to get sick of it.
He drove back to the station, and when he arrived, he found it to be a mess. Confused, he looked around, and eventually walked over to a familiar face. “Briar, what's going on.”
“Insanity, that's what.” The dark-haired imp shook his head. “It's a mess. Someone put an eight-figure bounty out and every crackpot criminal is after it. Have you not kept your radio on?”
“I was busy looking for the person they're hunting.”
“Oh, but aren't you on the theft case?”
“I still am, but I was also involved with this kid beforehand.”
“Well, it doesn't matter now,” Briar said. “This is the priority. The boss wants this kid found and is actually sending enforcers out with squads. The precogs are trying, and still failing to be useful. That block’s still there for them.”
“Well, fuck.” Nate rubbed his brow. “I guess I should talk to the chief.”
“Probably best you do.”
Godman fae. Pulling me from my work.
