Jiang Fei was dragged into an illusion and fell unconscious, Ling-er then activated another formation array which had the ability to teleport him to one of the few remaining secret realms.
The floor of the ancestral shrine once again shone, emanating a magnificent blue light. The light seemed to converge at Jiang Fei’s body and quickly swallowed him whole. Suddenly, the entire shrine rumbled and the light disappeared instantly, along with Jiang Fei’s body. Just like that, the ancestral shrine became vacant and everything returned to tranquillity.
The Jiang Family used to have hundreds of secret realms, however the secret realms had been forcibly closed and their guardians had been scattered.
Although the most important secret realms, which served as the very foundation of the Jiang Family’s legacy, were still maintained and protected by their strongest retainers or elders.
The secret realm which Jiang Fei was sent to was a secret realm used to train budding cultivators who were still undecided on what path they wanted to walk.
The secret realm was a large one, with an area of one million square kilometres. If Jiang Fei was still conscious he would have dislocated his jaw just by looking at the vast expanse of greenery in the secret realm.
In the distance, there were three palaces which stood out among even the tallest of trees in the secret realm. Their roofs were made of a beautiful golden coloured metal, which gave the reflected light a pinkish hue.
Closer to him, there were four majestic wooden mansions. Each mansion was in a cleared part of the secret realm, surrounded by a large fencing which separated them from the forestry. While they did not seem exceptionally eye-catching in comparison to the palaces, they were still far grander than any house Jiang Fei had ever seen.
A whooshing sound came from one of the palaces, leaving behind a loud booming sound in its trail.
The sound was caused by a person rushing over to Jiang Fei’s body at mach 100 speed, the person quickly used his divine sense to send a transmission to 6 other people in the secret realm telling them to leave this one to him.
The person arrived in front of Jiang Fei in a matter of seconds, a feat which would completely destroy the world view of most mortals.

“Oh my, I was beginning to wonder if the Jiang family had died out. It's been nearly a full generation since anybody entered this secret realm.” A warm yet sarcastic voice came from the person right in front of a collapsed Jiang Fei.
“Why is he so weak? Is the Jiang family going through a slump? Well, it's not my place to comment.” Their words carried a hint of mockery and curiosity, said in a dismissive and nonchalant tone. It was almost as if they had encountered a memento from their past.
Seeing as Jiang Fei was still unconscious the person plopped straight down onto the ground with their butt and crossed their arms together in an upright sitting position, wriggling their body slightly to get into a more comfortable position, they then closed their eyes and tilted their head straight to the azure, cloudless sky.
While Jiang Fei was passed out in a secret realm, Jiang Lu and Jiang Nan had woken up and were preparing breakfast for their whole family.
“Fei-er, come quick breakfast is going to get cold!” Jiang Nan shouted
Not wanting to repeat herself, she quickly went to get Jiang Fei herself instead of just calling for him.
As soon as she entered the room, she saw a rolled up straw mat placed at the far left corner of the room, and a bag of beads which Jiang Fei used as a pillow.
Seeing that Jiang Fei was not in the house and the outhouse she quickly deduced that he had already left for the ancestral shrine, she sighed lightly before walking away.
Every adolescent youth dreamed of cultivating, and while Jiang Fei was slightly more mature than the average youth he was not an exception.
“Hubby, Fei-er already left, looks like he is eager to start cultivating. I cannot believe that little boy, just a few years back he wanted to do everything with us and was scared to even enter that ancestral shrine claiming it was creepy.” Jiang Nan said in a longing tone, yearning for the time while Jiang Fei was a little boy.
“That is natural, he is bound to leave the nest someday. Come on let’s finish up our breakfast and join Fei-er” replied Jiang Lu in an assuring tone
Jiang Lu and Jiang Nan quickly finished up their breakfast, which consisted of scallion pancakes without the scallions as they did not have any, and two hard boiled eggs each.
While making their way to the ancestral shrine, they happily chatted about what they thought their future paths of cultivation would be like.
Jiang Lu pictured himself to be a great cultivator, powerful enough to create an everlasting and eternal dynasty and he would be its emperor. Of course, he also imagined him having a harem of beauties. However, even if he reached such a level he would not create a harem out of a mixture of fear and respect for his wife.
As for Jiang Nan, she imagined herself as an all powerful sect leader, roaming the world and spreading knowledge of cultivation to everyone and recruiting those who showed talent. Of course, she also dreamed of a harem full of the world’s most attractive men, in fact she was worse than Jiang Lu in that regard. Like Jiang Lu, she did not mention this in order to avoid souring the relationship.
As they approached the ancestral shrine, they pushed open the shabby wooden door.
The whole shrine seemed to creak as the door was pushed inwards, as Jiang Lu and Jiang Nan opened the door they noticed Jiang fei’s absence and began to grow worried.
“Fei-er isn’t here, should we go check the fields? Maybe he went to the village to pick up something?” Jiang Lu commented anxiously.
Then, Ling-er appeared in front of them, floating in the form of a little girl with light brown hair and chestnut coloured eyes, with a youthful appearance appearing no older than 8 years old.
