As we gathered together, the atmosphere was filled with a sense of unity and excitement. This was especially evident during the braai that Frank had organized, a celebratory gathering after his reconciliation with Cindy and Thando, the atmosphere was electric.
At the braai, Cindy brought along her new boyfriend, Casper, and they brought a lot of snacks, adding to the festive spirit. As we mingled and chatted, we broke out into different groups, engaging in various board games.
One game, Ticket to Ride, proved to be the most favorite among us. The guys, in particular, were fiercely competitive, their trash talk adding an extra layer of excitement to the game. It was a joy to witness a fun activity and time.
Later on as we were having drinks, Frank announced that if we are given a group project though we are rivals, we need to work together to improve our grades. We all agreed to that idea as it seemed necessary and a good thing to do.
Sarah then stood up and said, "guys though we might work together, let's keep our competitive attitude, to make our class one of the best and interesting."
After having said that, she took a drink and went outside. Sean, one of Frank's friend went outside too inorder to have a meaningful conversation with Sarah. That guy was different from all the guys who were in Frank's group. He was quiet, reserved and humble. You might wonder how he ended up in Frank's group.
They sat down outside by the stoep. We could see them through the window that they were having a good time, and enjoying their conversation as they kept smiling and laughing.
This made Chris jealous as he was into Sarah. However, Charlotte was quick to notice Chris's mood through his facial expression. She grabbed a drink and said, "Chris, let's go outside and join Sarah." He agreed and they went outside.
Everyone in the room also followed suit. They grabbed their drinks and went outside. I was left all alone and this was due to my love for music. While everyone went outside, I wanted to remain, so I could sit down and play a piano that was in the launch.
As I sat there, the first song that came to my mind was my favorite piece, Canon in D major. I played, and they all loved it and encouraged me to keep playing more songs. I then decided to play, river flows in you by Yorumah which was one of Trish's favorite song. She was one of Frank's friend and part of his group.
This girl was a social butterfly. On the outside, she was beautiful. She is kind of a girl who won't let a moment pass in silence, since she was just good to throw in a good remark to keep the conversation going.

She came in and sat next to me. I didn't know she could play too. After having played the whole song. She said, "Cedric, I didn't know you can play? This is my hobby, when I am all alone,I can spend hours playing piano. Can I play one song for you." She repeated the song I had just played and did it so beautifully.
I then played, "I can't stop falling in love," and she began to sing. She had a beautiful voice and it drew attention of the guys who were sitting outside. Interestingly, one of the guys commented and said, "you guys will make a beautiful couple. You both love music."
We both laughed and jokingly said, "oh yes, don't you see we are a couple." These words didn't go well with Charlotte, as well as Sarah. To Charlotte, she thought I might lose my chance of having Cedric as mine. And so she came in and called Trish so they could talk.
"Trish, I hope you are not interested in Cedric right, you guys are just enjoying the music and nothing more right?" She said this while giving a big smile.
"Oh wow, are you kind of jealous Charlotte? Well, I am just enjoying music with Cedric. We are music lovers and we both love playing the piano. So don't worry. By the way, If I tell you that I have fallen for him. What would you do?" Trish laughed as she asked her this question.
Atlast, I convinced all the guys to play one more game before we part ways and they all agreed. However, everyone wanted to choose a game but I insisted that the one who threw the party should decide to make things easier for us.
Frank chose that we should play mafia and we enjoyed the game to the fullest. Afterwards, each went to his own place getting ready for the beginning of the new week with new assignments.
Three weeks later, I was home busy doing my assignments. Then Peter came to my place and he had news he wanted to share with me. It had been long without having him over at my place, since we were meeting more often at his place.
As he entered my room, he said with his deep voice, "oh man, I thought this room had changed. Hmmm but one thing though, the room smells nice." He smiled after having said that.
As it was my habit and a way of being hospitable. I made a hot drink for my friend and then we sat down to catch up. He picked up his cup of coffee and drank a sip of it, and suddenly he closed his eyes, savoring the moment, as the warmth of the coffee spread down his body. He looked at me with a face that was lit up with joy, and said, "Cedric, you do know your coffee. This coffee is great. Man I like it."
We then spent hours before Peter could tell me what was in his heart. At last he said, "Cedric, I don't know how to tell you this, but I think I found her." I looked at him, thunderstruck, with my eyes wide open. I was filled with confusion at the meaning behind his words, "I found her."
As several thoughts raced through my mind, I grappled with the notion: did he mean that someone was missing and they found her? Peter, sensing my confusion, made a remark. "I mean my dream girl." He laughed uncontrollably. His joy resonated in his voice, tangible and infectious.
I looked at him with a bright smile, my eyes lit up with joy. I placed my hand over his as an expression of happiness for him and said, "man, I can't believe you finally have someone you care about the most. Good for you bro." My words tumbled out quickly as I asked a flurry of questions, " how did this happen, when and how did you guys meet?"
