Virtual Meeting
Ottawa, Canada
Justin Trudeau watched as everyone left the virtual meeting. He wasn't satisfied with the results. "Mr. Wilder, Rene please stay a moment." He requested.
Rene agreed and waited until everyone dropped from the virtual connection. The Prime Minister, his Principal Secretary were the only ones left. "What's on your mind, sir?"
"I am not happy with the way this meeting has gone. Captain McLean's decision has left us vulnerable." The PM began. "His first priority should be to his country."
"Mr. Prime Minister I don't think you're seeing the big picture. Like my brother has said, Alpha and Omega teams are overkill. Our best chance to keep order will come from the RCMP Gamma powered corps."
"I have listened to the commander's words. I don't think it will be enough." The PM knew that if he could convince this man to see things his way, this crisis would be much easier to deal with.
"I can't believe I am saying this, but thank God winter is here. It's our greatest ally. Most of Canada is under 50 centimeters of fresh snow. That's on top of the record snowfall already on the ground before this storm even began to add to our misery. Ottawa is secure. The radio is still working. Have the CBC announce that tomorrow and Friday are snow, Holliday. Everyone stays off the streets except for emergency situations. If they do have an emergency, send them an escort. The Chief had me add the Police department to the RCMP party. There's no shortage in Ottawa of qualified personnel. Be bold Mr. Prime Minister. This is History in the making. How do you want to be remembered?"

"Inspirational Mr. Wilder, but all it takes is for one person with mind control powers to destroy the dream you describe." The PM was not going to give up on getting his way.
Rene saw that. He sighed. Again this was going to cost him, "If I can guarantee that will not happen will this make you secure enough to send help to the rest of the country?"
"What do you have in mind?" He was curious. What could a sys-admin do when he was given the authority to implement real change.
Rene gave his avatar the instructions to implement the changes through the original Xerys System. "Xerys create a global party." He requested out loud.
{...Creating a Global Party...}
Prime Minister Trudeau and his Secretary were stunned. "You can do that?"
{...Global Party Created...}
"Xerys share experience energy from the battle with the Galactic Federation Warship. Give everyone this specific ability. Auto-Mind block defense, and two-way telepathy for communication purposes only when an active Telepath starts a connection."
{... Ability Generated...
...Level 1 ability granted to Global Party members...}
"Xerys how many individuals have an active Domination ability?" Rene asked.
{There are five Global individuals.}
"Xerys place a permanent block on that ability."
{Ability blocked permanently.}
"Is this enough Mr. Prime Minister?" Rene's eyes bored into the Prime Minister daring him to disagree.
"It is enough Mr. Wilder." The PM knew what the man in front of him just gave up. He gave up another Omega level ability. He also showed the Prime Minister the extent of his sys-admin capabilities. They were monstrous.
"As I said, Mr. Prime Minister. Be bold. History is in the making. This is an opportunity. The old world order is dead. Are you the man who's going to lead us into the future?" Rene asked.
"I am. I will do my best to lead every Canadian into this new opportunity." Justin Trudeau said firmly.
"No Mr. Prime Minister. Not just Canada, but the world. This is why Richard McLean needs to be part of the UN defense force. He and his unit are needed to form a defense force you will suggest to the United Nations."
"Communications are still down. The Americans will not share the NORAD systems with the United Nations. Not under the current administration." The PM was firm in his beliefs. He wasn't wrong either.
"Xerys create a United World Leaders Party," Rene said in front of the PM.
{New Party Created.}
"There's your communications channel Mr. Prime Minister. You know what to do. Canada is in good hands. After all, we have Winter on our side." Rene left the virtual meeting room to the Prime Minister and his Secretary.
"That is one scary individual Jeff." He looked at his longtime friend.
"That he is Justin. But he's also right. Are you bold enough to follow through?"
"I really have no other option at this point, Jeffrey. Let's get those invites started. We have a world to save." The PM said a little prayer and charged ahead full steam. History will not find him wanting.
