Log Entry 100. Cycle 2070.
Status: Post-Conflict Analysis, Planetary Zone Designation: [REDACTED].
The indigenous lifeforms, commonly referred to as 'Players,' have been neutralized. Their persistence, while initially a variable of moderate intrigue, proved ultimately negligible. Their tactics, predictably inefficient, and their perceived 'power' based on ephemeral, poorly-understood mechanics. Scavenged schematics, recovered from their remains, are more interesting, however. Their "megastructures," while crude, demonstrate a certain... potential for necromantic augmentation. This cycle will be dedicated to the refinement of these concepts. A new construct is projected. Project codename: "Oblivion's Embrace".
Log Entry 257. Cycle 2102.
Status: Construction Phase, Oblivion's Embrace.
The core assembly is complete. Material refinement continues. Necrotic binding agents are proving difficult to synthesize on a scale required by the primary structure. The native mineral deposits are adequate, yet time is still a limiting factor. The players’ blueprints, modified and reinforced with my own understanding of necrotic energy manipulation, are proving to be more resilient than anticipated. Efficiency levels are acceptable. Additional refinement of the temporal distortion field is necessary. Cycle time projection for completion: 140-180 cycles based on current resource consumption.
Log Entry 432. Cycle 2278.
Status: Launch Sequence, Oblivion's Embrace.
Oblivion's Embrace is operational. Its temporal capabilities are within acceptable error margins. The launch trajectory is set. The planet, its resources largely depleted, is no longer of value. It is deemed unessential and will be left behind. The organic waste of these players can be used to further enhance my craft with new materials that should prove to be more efficient. The time spent here was necessary, yet there are far more interesting unknowns to explore among the stars.

Log Entry 1089. Cycle 2734.
Status: Interstellar Navigation, Extended Travel.
Centuries of quiet drift and focused observation. The internal workings of Oblivion's Embrace are continually being refined. Initial stellar charts are rudimentary, requiring considerable improvements. The limitations of conventional propulsion are apparent, further research is required. The long duration provided opportunities to refine necromantic techniques and the temporal field has now be adjusted to allow me to witness past events, these have aided my studies. No lifeforms of particular note have been encountered on this route.
Log Entry 1502. Cycle 3019.
Status: Contact and Analysis, Designation: Galactic Cluster [REDACTED].
Initial contact with multiple civilizations. Data analysis indicates a repeating phenomenon: the "Player" infestation has spread throughout this new region. Their presence, while disruptive, presents an opportunity. The observed “respawn” mechanics, though fundamentally illogical, are exploitable. Initial engagement with several player groups reveals predictable patterns of behavior. I will adapt.
Log Entry 1515. Cycle 3022.
Status: Adaptive Strategy, Designation: "Mercenary Contract"
The acquisition of currency, referred to as "credits," is proving remarkably straightforward. The players' respawn cycle is a constant and predictable source of revenue. My proficiency in neutralizing these entities and their perceived "power" is generating substantial profit. The credits are being directly channeled into the advancement of my research and refinement of my craft. The organic components of their bodies provide new resources. This new strategy of a mercenary role, while initially counterintuitive, is proving to be a most efficient method to fund my intellectual pursuits. The galaxy seems unaware of the true nature of my operations and this naivety is most advantageous. The hunt begins.
