Chapter 3: Immeroth

Chapter 3: Immeroth

Far away from planet Earth, in a relatively more prosperous region of the Wildlands, in the Cat's Eye star system, orbits planet Immeroth.

Planet Immeroth was enormous! Comparing it to planet Earth would be like comparing the earth's moon to Jupiter!

A lot of astronomers on earth would pull their hair out, if they ever saw it, trying to understand how a planet this big is habitable without crushing everything with its immense gravity!

This is the planet Zachariah will be living on for quite a while.

Why this planet?

Well, one of the failsafes the human leader included in the stone was [In the event there's a very small amount of spiritual energy or no spiritual energy, teleport to a planet with the greatest spiritual energy signature, reachable by teleportation.]

The human leader certainly didn't expect the stone would absorb all the spiritual energy of a planet and then use it to execute his failsafe when bound to a host.

But he didn't have much time to make a foolproof failsafe either.

The air trembled near a road on the edge of a forest, and Zachariah emerged with rocks, small jewelry, and some equipment.

He went into a coughing fit, as the heavy rocks had kicked up a small cloud of dust when it fell on the ground.

Zaki emerged from the dust cloud, disoriented by the abrupt change in environment. He looked around quickly, seeing grass, trees, a road, and the midday sky instead of his workshop walls, equipment, and the light from his electric bulbs.

He could hear the faint hum of his stone cutter in his workshop one moment, and all he could hear the next was the sound of wind and birds while being cooked by a scorching sun.

"what on earth?"

It took Zaki a few moments to regain his bearings and accept the obvious fact that he had changed location inexplicably.

He went back towards the spot he had been teleported to, squatted next to the pile of rough stones, and picked up some of the equipment pieces.

"These are unquestionably my items... It appears that these moved with me when I arrived here."

Zaki then put the rings, pendants, and other trinkets he'd made from precious gems in his pockets.

"so where should I go now?" Zaki muttered under his breath as he looked around him again and noticed the road.

"a road...should I go left or right?"

Standing in the road, he looked both ways and saw the same thing: trees stretching as far as the eye could see.

"hmm...ill just go right"

Zaki had been walking along the road for half a day and still appeared to be as energized as he had been at the start of his journey.

"It's almost evening, and I'm not tired at all, it's as if I have enough energy to run a thousand miles, speaking of which, the air seems unusually fresh Today!"

What he didn't realize was that each breath he took brought a wisp of spiritual energy into his body, which was absorbed by the stone, which then spit out another type of energy that swam to every part of his body, nourishing it, and slightly strengthening his physique by a minute amount with each cycle.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Finally, Zaki noticed some faint lights in the distance that appeared to be a town; he accelerated his pace and arrived at the town within minutes.

From Zaki's perspective, the town appeared rundown; it wasn't even as good as towns in Afghanistan, one of the Earth's poorest countries.

Zaki saw a stilotte and was overjoyed to see someone else after his strange displacement incident. He tried to ask where this place was but the man sped past him and vanished within seconds. "Excuse me m-...that guy seemed to be in a hurry," Zaki said.

And then it happened again and again.

That's when Zaki realized something wasn't right; the second and third guys could have been chasing the first guy, but a fourth and fifth guy running could only mean one thing: they were fleeing something, or in this case, some people.

Before Zaki could turn around and run in the opposite direction, some people in uniforms sped up to him, one of them tackled him at high speed, pushing the air out of his lungs, and before Zaki could get up, he was kicked in the face, knocking him out.

"Try to run now bitch"

Said the guy in uniform after he kicked Zaki in the face.

...

The planet Immeroth is divided into five regions: north, south, east, west, and center.

Each region is divided into several sectors, and Zaki has been teleported to the central region, which is divided into seven sectors.

Each of these sectors contains several continents, islands, and seas, or the sector itself is an ocean or a massive continent.

The planet has no central governing power because it is simply too large, so massive that even powers that control several planets and star systems cannot completely control a sector, and the planet's resources are too vast, resulting in the birth of a large number of experts who form their own factions, refusing to bow to other powers.

The powerful organizations in the sector where Zaki has been teleported are currently on high alert.

Several hours ago, barely a minute after the Teleportation, the major forces had an intense reaction, garrisons were mobilized, spirit Battleships rose from the ground and patrolled the skies like dragons, and the major Cities, palaces, and Sect grounds cranked up their transparent energy shields to the point where it became thick and translucent.

It was a wartime mobilization, and everyone was bracing for a fierce enemy assault.

But three days passed with no sign of enemies.

A tall building that towered over everything stood in the middle of a large city that had erected a Dark blue Energy shield.

On the highest floor of the building, near the window wall, stood a burly man in armor, exuding dignity.

"Any news from the scouts?"

"Not yet, sir, but I have a report from the teleportation specialists."

"hmm..."

"the ultra-large-scale teleportation spell may not be a large-scale invasion"

The burly man turned away from the window and looked at the lady in formal attire.

"And how come?"

"According to our experts, the teleportation spell was inefficient in terms of spiritual energy usage, the application of space laws was crude, and readings of the 'mass' teleported did not make sense."

"get right to the point"

"It's very possible that someone was teleported to the sector from an Extremely old Ancient ruin in another dimension or pocket space."

"And they came to this conclusion because?" the man inquired.

"Back in the chaos era, when teleportation spells and formations were in their infancy, if anyone wanted to make an extreme long-distance or interdimensional teleportation, they would simply crudely increase its scale."

"so what they mean is that someone went into an ancient ruin in another dimension or pocket space, and returned using a teleportation formation there, the formation being in the standards of that era, was scaled up to such an extent that it seemed like an ultra-large scale teleportation spells used in this era."

"that seems to be the case, sir."

"Notify me when there's any news from the recon units," the man said, turning to face the window.

"yes, sir."

Their guess wasn't far off the mark, The teleportation formation used in the failsafe was the best of its time, but compared to formations in this era, it's extremely crude, inefficient, and outdated, and Zaki wasn't teleported from a pocket space, he was teleported over a very long distance.

Unknown to all parties, the perpetrator who kept all major forces on edge is currently fleeing for his life with a band of deserters in a small unassuming kingdom.
