Another example of a NBS would be [Enhanced Senses] but this one can be very useful in battles, it makes it easier for the user to detect hidden enemies, ambushes or flying projectiles, which is very useful in battles.

All the techniques or spells that are used in the meridian tempering realm are NBS spells, but if the spell is constructed by internal energy blended with a wisp of spiritual energy, the lethality of the spell will increase by at least five times.

Similar to a gun, you can bash someone with it and cause severe injury (internal energy spell), but if you load it with bullets, the gun becomes considerably more devastating (internal blended with spiritual energy spell).

Spiritual energy is like to bullets for a pistol.

Because Zaki lacks spiritual energy at the moment, he must make do with "using the gun as a club."

In his reptoire Zaki has five spells that could be a bit useful in a battle, each of them are a spell of one of the basic elements, the [water style: water bullet] being one of them.

The rest of them are as follows.

[Earth style: earth manifestation]

[Wood style: revitalize]

And metal element's [shine]

The fire ball is simply creating a ball of fire the size of a tennis ball in the palm of the user, if thrown at an enemy it's could perhaps set their clothes on fire at most.

The [earth manifestation] transforms internal energy into a clump of soil in the palm of the user, it could be used to throw at the eyes of enemies as a sneak attack, other than that it's useless.

The [Revitalize] is the most basic of the healing-type spells, it can be used to heal scraches, or stop the bleeding of small wounds, it dosen't work for deep or wounds on arteries.

And finally the metal elements [shine] and also probably the most useful spell of them all in this situation, it can clean and sharpen a blade, it has the same effect of polish and grindstone combined, and when channeled it will boost the blade's sharpness.

Of course the spell isn't exclusive to a blade or a weapon, it's useful to anything metallic and it's uses changes according to the item that it's used on, for a blade it sharpens and polishes, for an armor it polishes and fixes dents, it ultimately depends on what the user wants.

And currently Zaki's and his group's weapons need some serious maintenance.

Zaki circulated his internal energy and cast the [shine] spell on his broken sword, and at that moment a faint light covered his sword, somehow making the rust on the blade drip down like liquid.

After the rust was removed, the blade edge and the broken part, became sharpened and some of the bent parts of the sword became straight.

Zaki was satisfied with the spell's results, so he used it on his other blade as well. He then closed his eyes and relaxed, recharging his energy for the run and likely combat tomorrow.
