Chapter 2 part 1: Liberation

Chapter 2 part 1: Liberation

With the Executioners' arrival on Ren'veil the battle to free her people shifted in favor of the rebellion. Astaroth the youngest of the 7 clan masters knelt before his progenitor basking in his glory for the High Glaives Kent Redridge is the one who gave all the High Glaives the gift of life.

Though the Knight Lord refuses to be referred to as a god often at times he corrects the children of the High Glaives to refer to him as a friend or a father so they chose the ladder out of respect and veneration for their progenitor.

Kent realized that the clan master that knelt before him is the youngest of the other Clan masters and had difficulty understanding his orders.

He asked Astaroth to stand up immediately the clan master reported to him that all of his brothers and sisters are moving quickly to secure Ren'veil for him and their sky raider brothers.

His clan spearheaded the defense of the city while Tyrannox took to the north to deal with the armored riders.

Syphoria and her Leviathans take to the skies ensuring no pests will come to intrude on the battle they also started to create several bio platforms for the leviathans to nest and create the plasma artillery platforms.

Viprax took to the western region the warriors there are strong enough maybe to sate his hunger though he might find something more than he can chew.

Vulterra's War bats took to the skies in the north as a massive hoard of dragon riders were heading to the city to eliminate the survivors of the rebellion.

Titus took to the southern regions where the Sky raiders passed by they will aide the survivors and clear a path to the coast as they started to create a forward base for the rest of the clans.

Levia was to aide the elven forest to the eastern region aiding the pointy-eared human's Kent became worried as Levia is well known to mingle with other species as a form of fun.

Despite the fact that the 7 clans had participated in many minor operations and skirmishes within the black zone but not a full-scale war. Astaroth is proud of the fact that he leads the charge to aide the sky raiders while the rest of his kin fought on different fronts.

He smiled asking the young master to stand with him in battle Astaroth was surprised raising his hammers to his Progenitor with honor and humility. Kent asked the young master to show him the mettle of a newborn master with his weapons in hand Astaroth rushed towards a group of soldiers who charged at them.

With discipline and ferocity by his side, Astaroth smashed his way through rows of soldiers with great ease. His hammer strikes cracked the earth beneath his feet one of the New Kingdom soldiers managed to stab Astaroth from behind when his coat simply deflected the strike.

From his back, a pair of massive scythe arms appeared and sliced the soldier into ribbons Astaroth unleashed a powerful blood-chilling roar. His hammers responded to his rage and evolved from a pair of hammers into an ax-hammers the master charged towards the group of soldiers.

Smashing bones, ripping the flesh from muscle, breaking skulls, and spilling the blood of his enemies Astaroth portrayed what it means to be a Fell Fang Berserker.

"Master Anthony... GO THE WAY IS CLEAR!" Astaroth shouted.

"Well done child... Now we go to fight the bastard who threatens the people." Kent replied as he dashed through the trail of bodies.

"With great pleasure my lord!" Astaroth said with a sadistic smile.

The two broke the enemies with the Ragnophage, Fang Wraiths, Tormentors, and Apex Torasque's right behind them cleaving the battlefield in half. Upon reaching the gate Kent saw Rio swordtaker who was about to kill another marine the Knight lord pulled out a pair of knives throwing them towards the traitorous swordsman.

He managed to block it with his blades when Astaroth slammed his Ax-hammers together sending a powerful shockwave sending Rio and his guards flying off their horses.

Kent used Astaroth's back and jumped into the air before his blades could kill him Rio threw one of his bodyguards in front of Kent killing the poor soldier in an instant.

Rio got back up grabbing his sword stopping Kent in his tracks Astaroth was about to help his progenitor when the bodyguards stepped in.

"I have to get to master somehow but these pests are annoying... I know..."Astaroth thought.

While he dealt with the bodyguards the battle between the two swordsmen continued, unlike last time the tables had turned.

Rio's blades absorbed the power from the manna around him increasing his strength but borrowed strength can only get one so far.

As they clashed once again Rio gave it his all to push the knight lord back while taunting him telling him of what he shall do with the two girls when he reaches them.

Enslaving the remaining priestesses and turning the mages into mindless drones as they should have been turned to long ago if he did not get in the way. The Knight Lord's resolve was true he did not give Rio another inch into the city Rio summoned a pair of blades sending it flying towards Kent.

The blades managed to graze his neck and leg yet Kent endured the strike as he grabbed him by the neck throwing Rio out of the gate. The force of Kent's throw somehow managed to break several bones on his body as he passed through several soldiers and destroying a hill in the process.

Kent immediately ordered the Ragnophages to secure the entrance to the western gate while Astaroth finished off the remaining bodyguards.

With the battle slowly coming to an end as the Fang wraiths routed the New Kingdom army out of the city and the Ragnophages destroyed the golems the enemy used to break into the city.

With a deep breath, he walked towards the edge of the bridge he hid the Excaliburst back into their scabbards. Rio desperately tried to stand up as his body was badly bleeding vomiting blood at the same time he felt his death was slowly coming to claim his soul.

"HOW... YOU WERE ALREADY DEAD AND I MADE SURE YOU WERE POISONED WITH MY BLADES... HOW ARE YOU STRONGER THAN ME!!!" Rio shouted angrily.

"You resorted to trickery pathetic... Lady Aisha and Lady Yunno told me that you are the strongest of your people he who stands with nobility, honor, and integrity... I believed them when they told me that I can trust you but I kept my eye on you because I knew you had your motives especially that collar of enslavement... You have no right to ask such questions, TRAITOR... It is time I end this charade and let you see what you are truly up against... Human..." Kent shouted as his eyes turned blood red.

Kent raised his blade as he unlocked the remaining limiters of his body increasing his strength beyond godly levels. Rio and all of Ren'veil saw the ferocity of the Knight Lord's true unrestricted power as creation quaked in the wake of his strength.

Even the Greater Heavens and the Burning inferno felt the surge of murderous intent from the young knight.

Rio clenched his teeth he tried to muster every last ounce of courage trying to withstand the murderous intent. Before he could deal the final blow he heard a familiar voice atop the wall begging him to stop.

Kent turned around seeing Aisha being carried by Lily on her shoulder the knight lord saw in her eyes. She did not see a man before her but a monster he closed his eyes as his heartfelt as if it were stabbed by a billion blades he sealed back his strength to that of a normal human.

"Kent... Please... Stop..." Aisha cried out in pain.

With a nod, he openly agreed to Aisha's request and pulled his blade back as he walked back to the city when Rio did the unthinkable. He used the last of his strength to summon a massive sword and fired it towards Aisha Lily grabbed her as the sword punched a hole in the city wall where they stood.

The Knight lord looked back seeing Rio laughing as he shouted that he is weak for letting a girl command him as he was taken by one of his bodyguards escaping the battlefield.

"You will not escape!" Kent shouted.

Kent rushed towards the escaping swordsman when the surviving forces of Rio's army stood in front of him as they threw themselves towards Kent barding his path.

He tried to cut them down as the High Glaive warriors aided their progenitor but they did not move a single inch the marines atop the wall tried to shoot Rio but he managed to escape the battlefield.

The Knight lord asked the High Glaives to pursue them with great haste he turned his attention back to the broken wall. He jumped to the top of the wall to see many marines had died from the impact when he saw Aisha was down on the ground.

Lily tried to revive her as she suffered a massive laceration on her left stomach she was slowly bleeding out. Lily tried her best to save her by applying every medical and Nano-machine med-regenerator into Aisha but to no effect.

"Kent we are losing her..." Lily shouted.

"LILY DO SOMETHING!" Kent cried as he held her hand.

Lily did everything she could but her wounds were too great as her life force was slowly fading away kent held Aisha in his arms. Lily saw her brother for the first time broken and afraid she realized that the two of these humans showed him what being human is like.

She told him that there is a way to save her it was a small chance it could kill her or the entire planet in the process but there is only one chance. Lily suggested using the monsters inside his blood to heal the two their wounds are only getting worse by the minute and his blood could save them both.

Though these monsters are not very cooperative outside their master's body and they are known to go on a rampage annihilating a dozen planets or two but she believes that their self regenerating properties could save her.

"Alright, If anything were to happen I will take full responsibility... Lily do it!" Kent ordered.

"Okay I hope it will not rip me apart..." Lily stated.

Kent lied down next to Aisha as Lily prepared them for a field blood transfusion the knight lord ordered the High Glaives to form a perimeter around them, not even the sky raiders were allowed to go near them until the operation is complete.

He looked at Aisha one more time as he held her cold hand he took a deep breath and cleared his mind. In order to communicate with the monsters inside his blood, it was a difficult challenge to enter his inner temple but he managed to pull through.

Inside his mind, he saw two monstrous dragon-like beings one with red and black scales with near-limitless tendrils, and the other was a massive dragon with black and red scales, rows of razor-sharp teeth, two pairs of arms one with a scythe-like pair of blades, and the other are a pair of claws that constantly create new DNA blueprints for him to use.

As he stood on a single platform the two monsters revolved around him welcoming their master into the realm within his mind.

"Vestroyer, Re-weaver I am here to make a request." Kent asked.

The two virulent plagues saw what had transpired through his eyes and desired their help to Repair the broken physical body of the one he cared for. Though it is a simple task to accomplish the Vestroyer said but the Re-weaver smiled she offered to their master to modify the girl's body and mind to make her more obedient to him.

Kent refused to such a suggestion he only asked them to heal her and protect her and the other girl from any harm. The two sentient viruses agreed but they required a price in return for healing the two as they named it. Kent agreed to their request as Lily started the blood transfusion Kent watched deep within his mind.

Upon entering the girl's body the viruses quickly went to work stopping the internal bleeding of the heart and lungs first then repaired the nerves that were damaged and started to regenerate the lost tissue and replacing melting down the damaged organs and replacing it with a new one.

The viruses salvaged the needed bio-material from Kent's own body he had to endure the pain but it was worth it if it meant saving them both.

Lily watched as the monsters entered Aisha's body as they started healing her faster than the nano-machines could ever do. The black blood spewed out of the open wound as it tried to find more bio-material as it detected Lily's medical kit it attacked the kit ripping it apart and devouring the bio-mass gel inside it.

After some time Aisha's wounds were gone, Lily scanned her body to make sure nothing remained of her internal injuries not even a single ounce of a scar remained on her skin.

Kent started to wake up as he looked pale and skinny after transferring no more than 2.71 liters of blood out of him. Lily helped her brother get up slowly even with his absurd regenerative ability taking that much blood out of anyone would kill an ordinary person.

But the virus inside the knight lord can produce an alarming amount of blood in a manner of minutes for a million people.

Kent opened his eyes as the Dawn came to Ren'veil his body was slowly weakened by the loss of a large amount of blood. He looked towards Aisha as her body was back to normal or even better Kent held her close as he rested his back against the wall and her head on his lap watching the rising sun.

Lily left them to give them a bit of privacy while he checked on the others, Kent gently stroked her hair remembering the day they first met.

She slowly opened her eyes to see Kent paler than snow as he stroked her hair like the day they first met. Aisha was surprised to see her old friend as she openly cried her heart out embracing Kent thanking him yet again for saving her life and returning to her after a year of enduring.

Though the battle is won this day the war for Ren'veil's true liberation was only beginning.
