Chapter 1: Timely Arrival

Chapter 1: Timely Arrival

With the Ancient homeworld of the Xer-ragzh now in ruins the Dragon-wolf Legion left the Empire to its fate after Requiem's destruction in the hands of the 1st Legion.

Two decades had passed since the Dragon-wolf had left Empire and found their way into the Frontier a realm born from a seed of the Mother that was spread all across the unknown regions.

The former legion had scoured the Frontier in hopes to find a new home though they made colonies to supply the newly built kingdom with the needed resources to live in the new realm.

Despite being in the Frontier for over 2 decades the Dragon-wolf had little success to comb less than 2% of the frontier.

Our story begins at the far north region from the Sea of Star's the Night Dreamer an exploration ship made with the sole purpose of finding and colonizing planets.

At the ship's helm leading the exploration, is Kent Anthony Redridge a 19-year-old human Zerrohnian hybrid or a Neo Xar-gezh with short black hair, black eyes, and pinkish fair skin.

He stands at 5 foot and 6 inches despite having Zerrohnian blood in him he is considered short for his height, He also possesses a fairly strong build despite his body being considered as an ectomorph.

He is usually seen wearing a simple white shirt he received as a gift during his 1-year absence, grey shorts, black steel claw-tipped combat jet boots, a stylish black belt cape with side skirt armor with a multi-directional booster, and a pair of energy blades and burst pistols.

He is commonly called a calm and trustworthy leader by the marines and knights as he is always seen in the front lines leading the troops rather than lead from the command center. Kent is sometimes referred to as a dual wielder or a blades-man but he is referred to as the silent hero of the Zerrohnians with an outstanding record of 9 terra class worlds found and colonized and 5 intelligent species found and founded several alliances with said species.

Despite his *young* age the Venerate class knights and elites consider him as a worthy candidate for the Knight lord class.

While the ship drifted silently using the current of the Sea of stars minor roots like a sail being pushed by the wind.

While he sat on the command chair he looked to his friend from New Dawn Kallen Santiago, She is 21 years old, short Red hair, red eyes, and pinkish fair skin. She hails from New Dawn's many colonies though she is only in her early 20's Kallen is the only Zerrohnian to have reached the rank of Captain of the newly formed Sky raider exploration fleet under Kent Redridge's rule.

Kallen is normally seen wearing a white nano-fiber mesh skin-suit with a black jacket, with gold trimming, and high heels.

"Kent, We are approaching the coordinates provided by the Bloodstone oath keeper." Kallen reported.

"Good, Let me know when we are in the range of the planet once we reach planetary orbit prepare to deploy my army." Kent ordered.

"Alright, If I can say my opinion Kent... This place is pretty far from the Core colonies 500 light cycles away from the main exit tendril. I am surprised that the Bloodstone showed you this place and how did you learn about this place anyway?" Kallen asked in astonishment.

"It is a long story, my dear friend... Remember when I disappeared for about an entire year?" Kent asked.

"Yeah, I heard... Wait a minute you were sent to this planet? But how." Kallen asked offering him a cup of tea.

"They say Faith works in mysterious ways... But once we settle things on Ren'veil believe me you will say this journey is worth the risk." Kent stated as he drank his tea.

"I hope so... Since we passed through 5 Nebulas, 3 solarite storms, and several asteroid fields that would break our ship apart. And getting to this place had better be worth it because we need a beacon to properly exit the Hyperspace lane If not we might be in for some trouble... Rumors are spreading across the Fleet that you found a Gaia planet similar to Requiem so you can't really blame me for asking so many questions." Kallen added as she stood up from her chair.

"It will be... If the coordinates are correct then this trip would be worth the trouble to reach it I hope Aisha would activate the beacon soon..." Kent contemplated.

While the two talked one of the Adjutants working on the bridge received a relay beacon the Adjutant called the attention of the two.

"Captain Kallen, Lord Anthony... A thousand apologies for interrupting your conversation. We had just received the coordinates from the beacon and there is a strange language being played on the background we tried to translate it but to no avail my Lord."

"Adjutant please play the message."

The Adjutant played the message it was mostly static when they filtered the message as it played the voice of the messenger was deeply familiar to him.

"Yu'rooka suhivar Toreska karishu... (Help us please Kent...)" The Message said as explosions played on the background.

When the Adjutant told the two about the relay code Kent stood from his seat as his anger suddenly erupted.

"WHEN WILL WE ARRIVE ON REN'VEIL!" Kent asked angrily.

"I-In about 20 minutes my lord..." The Adjutant said petrified in fear.

"Kent, calm down... We will reach the planet don't worry." Kallen replied.

"Not good enough... The beacon is it still active?"

"Yes Lord Anthony but it is giving off a feint signal but we should still be able to track it."

"Good Lock in the coordinates... Admiral full speed to Ren'veil and raise the alert status to Red Alert... Kallen, Have the ship prepare for orbital support I need this done in 10 minutes people!" Kent shouted.

Kent walked towards the elevator when Kallen asked what was going on she realized that he was afraid though he tried to hide his feelings yet his eyes said it all. Kallen did not bother to ask anymore and followed her friend's lead and prepared the ship for battle.

As the ship exited the Hyperspace lane, Kallen and the adjutants started to shed tears as they were greeted by a massive class 9 Gaia class planet.

This world is 300 times bigger than New Xenna and close to the size of Requiem which is 267,582 km but the size of the planet according to the adjutants. Ren'veil sized into 127,582 km it was a luscious planet filled with life unlike the colonies and the terraformed worlds this world was born by creation which sets it apart from the rest.

"Captain... This planet... It's... So Beautiful..." The Adjutant said in astonishment.

"I know... But we have our orders... Prepare for combat everyone!"

"Kent I hope you know what you are doing... I hope we do not break any interplanetary laws... May Faith be with us this day!"

While the Admiral positioned the ship near the beacon's location at the same time inside the depths of the exploration ship.

Over 500 Fresh blood, Zerrohnian Marines were preparing for battle with 100 Veterans and elites leading each squad. While over 50 Iron-wolf knights both veteran and fresh blood were eager to fight as they equipped their Newly built Sky raider mk1 battlesuits.

These suits of armor are built for all-terrain combat from space to, air to ground combat, offering protection from the dangers of space and from light to heavy physical and bullet fire. These suits are no joke when tested by the Champions of the Kingdom as they survived surface entry or re-entry.

The exo-frames of each suit amplifies the strength and maneuverability of the wearer the only downside of the suit is its outer shell. Once it breaks the suit purges its outer and secondary shell sacrificing protection for more maneuverability.

Kent walked up to his armor locker he wore a helmet with two horns on the side and full faceplate shaped like a dragon, A layered chest plate with shoulder and arm guards, A pair of reinforced claw gauntlet arm guards. He also wore a pair of shin guards and thigh plating but the shin guards had a pair of blades in front of it and boosters on the back below the calf.

He grabbed a pair of laser sword code-named *Excaliburst blades*are physical blades with a built-in vibration modulator and energy coil inside the cutting edge of the blades greatly increasing its cutting power, in theory, it can even cut tanks apart.

The blades have a built-in interlocking mechanism at their hilts and blunt side of the blades giving him a wide variety of options when facing a number of opponents.

He also grabbed a massive double-edged buster sword code-named *TrailBlazer* from the back of his locker measuring from 5 to 6 feet in length with a .5 meter grip with a large rectangular handguard while in blade mode the blade is a solid length of Adamantine infused with Xerrohmite metal except while the inner lining of the double blades has a vibration frequency amplifier allowing the blade's edge to cut through solid adamantine titanium steel.

The core of the blade holds an energy coil with 3 kinetic energy rings fueling the blades with enough energy to increase it's cutting and slicing power. The blade itself can be used as a shield while in battle mode as it can also absorb enough heat amounting to 10,000 degrees Celcius to fuel the Kinetic energy rings.

With the preparations complete the Marines and Knights are prepared to go into battle for the first time. A group of 7 marines and a lone knight approached Kent one of them clad in white armor with blue and grey stripes symbolizing a wolf.

He saluted the knight He eagerly reported to his general as the army stands behind him.

This lone Marine is Razor *Rex* Sigfield Crosswolf, Kent's best friend, second in command to Strike team Zero and XV legion second in command. Rex hails from the Shattered worlds outside the frontier space. He was only found and recruited by Councilwomen Androsta since he accidentally destroyed one of his home world's rift stones by accident.

He has Caucasian skin, blue eyes, and black hair. He is always seen wearing his Mk6 Commando armor, which has individual shock absorber plating, plasma shields, Jump kit boots, twin spiked gauntlets, four grenades, two Type 9 Heavy Phase disruptor pistols.

"Everyones here and eager for the fight General." A familiar voice reported.

"Well said Captain Rex."

Kent stood before the brave men and women of the kingdom eager and afraid of what awaits them on the planet's surface. With a deep breath, he rallied them before the banner of his family and the hope for a future worth fighting for.

Everyone Listen up! we stand at the doorstep to a new world a new tomorrow for our people... Here the people of Ren'veil stand on the verge of destruction by the hands of their own kin and we as knights of faith have a duty to protect all life against anything that threatens it... I know many of you heard that I disappeared from the Kingdom when in truth I was called here to this to aide her... I vowed to return to her when Faith allowed it and now here we are... I offer you all a chance to reshape the fate of both our worlds... What say you, soldiers of the Dragon-wolf Will, you stand with me and re-write destiny, or will you fall idle before the darkness that binds us!

Many were afraid, some were eager to fight, others eager to follow their leader to battle, while few were ready to rewrite destiny. One thing was made clear that day everyone aboard that ship heard the voice of their leader and desired to change the destiny of their people as nomads to settlers.

The Knights of the Iron wolves were more than eager to change the destiny of their people they roared out and slammed fists upon their chests or shields. The marines followed each of the knight leaders as they slammed the butt of their rifles on the floor repeatedly as a sign of loyalty.

"WE STAND FOR HOPE!" Kent shouted.

"AND WE SHALL FEAR NO EVIL!" The Knights and Marines saluted.

"Board your gunships we ride for Ren'veil!" Kent ordered.

The gunships flew out of the hangar bay Rex and the others boarded the Night Hawk and flew out of the Hangar bay faster than the other gunships. Flying to the surface of Ren'veil the sudden change in gravitational pull felt easier for the Zerrohnians.

Some of the Veteran Iron-wolves remembered their home on Requiem as the gravity of the former homeworld was similar to Ren'veil. With great haste, the Great sea winds of Ren'veil aided the gunships faster to the ground like a kite flying high above the clouds.

The memory of their fallen home ignited a fire thought long lost to them with teeth clenched, blades howling, hearts burning with desire, and thirst for battle begins.
